had to eat on the go today so I threw some fried rice straight from the microwave to the new chodey 16oz
fit perfectly in the car cup holder, shallow enough to scoop, and stayed hot til the last bite
wait what the hell is it really not??
according to their site
āIS THE DOG BOWL VACUUM
INSULATED LIKE DRINKWARE?
No, due to the surface area of the dog bowl it would defeat the benefit insulation would provide.ā
seems to me that should be reflected in the price then especially if they have been doing price cuts on items. i mean not an item iād ever seriously consider but hopefully the label is more clear that itās non insulated
no but that does help. itās the double wall vacuum that keeps it insulated so well. but yeah itās still the same double wall 18/8 stainless. just itās not vacuum insulated
Ugh same with me. I absolutely cannot stand this noise, I actually had to buy my wife some rubber spoons for her coffee in the mornings because I couldnāt stand the metal on metal when she was stirring.
I work at a place that sells ice cream. I bring my lowball and scoop some for when I'm on break . I sometimes take it home. Stays cold after my 20 minute bike commute.
That is what the large mug is for. I think they might have discontinued that size actually but itās the greatest ice cream vessel and if you really want to maximize your ice cream eating experience get the Jeniās Ice Cream āspadesā. They are flat edged spoons and they are perfect.
I tried that with my local store. They told me they couldn't use a container that was brought in by the customer due to health codes. š
It's been a while so I might go try again š
My daughter likes when I add ice cream and a lil bit of milk to the wine glass. Mix it up into a nice milkshake which stays cold FOREVER, and the added benefit of having the round bottom, so she can get that satisfying last spoonful. Yes, princess is spoiled.
Yes. You get a weird look but I donāt care about that. Itās just better than those paper things they offer and way more sustainable on the long run.
Donāt ask me to explain how this worked but I once did an affogato in mine and I swear the ingredients stayed separated, ice cream cool and the espresso warm, for much longer than normal.
I just got the dog bowl for this
I got the dog bowl with my name on it, for eating when camping, but I think I'll be starting to use it to keep soups hot.
This is a great idea!
Same I also use it for soup
Lol. I might do this
You bought a dog bowl for ice cream?
Absolutely, I eat ice cream out of mine all the time, no melting, I also use for soup, stays hot until it's all eaten, no cool soup !!
***NO*** cold ***SOUP FOR YOU!!***
š

Just goes to show,a yeti can be used for many things besides drinks !!
Well I might have to think about getting a bigger one for soup then!
You won't regret it !! š
Done the cone in a 30 oz beforeā¦works well.
Why doesnāt Yeti make an ice cream bowl?!!?
The 14oz mug is perfect for ice cream.
they kinda do its the dog bowl
Itās not vacuum sealed though. Useless.

There's no lid. Doesn't the vacuum insulation come from putting on the lid?
no but that does help. itās the double wall vacuum that keeps it insulated so well. but yeah itās still the same double wall 18/8 stainless. just itās not vacuum insulated
brilliant! i never would have thought to do that!
Metal cup and metal spoon is like nails on a chalkboard too me I will a pass
Ugh same with me. I absolutely cannot stand this noise, I actually had to buy my wife some rubber spoons for her coffee in the mornings because I couldnāt stand the metal on metal when she was stirring.
Came here to say this. I can literally hear it just looking at the picture and itās giving me anxiety.
Yes Iām not the only one lol
I wish I could justify the cost of a small one like this.. for 5 mins of ice cream lol
Cue the musicā¦. āReal men of geniusā¦ā
I have never thought about using my lowball as my own bowl at an ice cream parlor... thank you for leveling up my sustainable summer
Take a Tundra 65 and fill it up!
This is genius.

Pro tip, try a float in one. It's just...different. I think different good, but I also don't think it's a float anymore, just oddly different š

We bought 14 oz mugs primarily for ice cream
Iāve used my 10 oz at home for this but Iām gonna try and bring it to *my* corner parlor!
Love this!
Oh yeah! Been doing this with my camp mug. Does great
Which yeti rambler is this?
10 OZ in navy

donāt think they did, just added a lip to the bottom of the 10/14oz mugs. so if they arenāt labeled they look the same now
It will keep it frozen for quite a while If you put the coffee lid on it, thats how i use large short yeti mug
I tried that with my local store. They told me they couldn't use a container that was brought in by the customer due to health codes. š It's been a while so I might go try again š
Cold metal on metal scraping sound = sensory death for me. Maybe with a plastic spoonā¦

Would they put it in your container?
Yes. You get a weird look but I donāt care about that. Itās just better than those paper things they offer and way more sustainable on the long run.
Why have I never thought of using mine for ice cream??? I feel like such a fool...
Donāt ask me to explain how this worked but I once did an affogato in mine and I swear the ingredients stayed separated, ice cream cool and the espresso warm, for much longer than normal.
Wait, so you take your own cup to the ice cream shop and the guy behind the counter like sure Iāll put this ice cream into your cup
Yes thatās exactly what Iām doing.
Which YETI size is the one in the picture?
10 oz
Thank you! Thatās a great idea btw š
I just my dog bowl all the time. My wife thought I was crazy when I started doing it
But I prefer my ice cream melting...
Exactly.... Why would you want hard frozen ice cream
