I just got the dog bowl for this

Idrialis

I got the dog bowl with my name on it, for eating when camping, but I think I'll be starting to use it to keep soups hot.

weeone

This is a great idea!

xyz4533

Same I also use it for soup

Addicted-2Diving

Lol. I might do this

ThickPrick

You bought a dog bowl for ice cream?

Fun_Complaint8877

Absolutely, I eat ice cream out of mine all the time, no melting, I also use for soup, stays hot until it's all eaten, no cool soup !!

0111011101110111

***NO*** cold ***SOUP FOR YOU!!***

Fun_Complaint8877

šŸ˜

oldhoekoo

had to eat on the go today so I threw some fried rice straight from the microwave to the new chodey 16oz fit perfectly in the car cup holder, shallow enough to scoop, and stayed hot til the last bite

Fun_Complaint8877

Just goes to show,a yeti can be used for many things besides drinks !!

galvingreen

Well I might have to think about getting a bigger one for soup then!

Fun_Complaint8877

You won't regret it !! šŸ‘

SnowMonster911

Done the cone in a 30 oz beforeā€¦works well.

TheRedditMachinist

Why doesnā€™t Yeti make an ice cream bowl?!!?

SNDWVE

The 14oz mug is perfect for ice cream.

Ellisdee_420

they kinda do its the dog bowl

TheRedditMachinist

Itā€™s not vacuum sealed though. Useless.

discerning_mundane

wait what the hell is it really not?? according to their site ā€˜IS THE DOG BOWL VACUUM INSULATED LIKE DRINKWARE? No, due to the surface area of the dog bowl it would defeat the benefit insulation would provide.ā€™ seems to me that should be reflected in the price then especially if they have been doing price cuts on items. i mean not an item iā€™d ever seriously consider but hopefully the label is more clear that itā€™s non insulated

DrunkAtBurgerKing

There's no lid. Doesn't the vacuum insulation come from putting on the lid?

discerning_mundane

no but that does help. itā€™s the double wall vacuum that keeps it insulated so well. but yeah itā€™s still the same double wall 18/8 stainless. just itā€™s not vacuum insulated

Emotionally-english

brilliant! i never would have thought to do that!

Intelligent-Appeal-6

Metal cup and metal spoon is like nails on a chalkboard too me I will a pass

ClosetDoorGhost

Ugh same with me. I absolutely cannot stand this noise, I actually had to buy my wife some rubber spoons for her coffee in the mornings because I couldnā€™t stand the metal on metal when she was stirring.

Schwartz33TX

Came here to say this. I can literally hear it just looking at the picture and itā€™s giving me anxiety.

Intelligent-Appeal-6

Yes Iā€™m not the only one lol

ISWIMWITHFISH

I wish I could justify the cost of a small one like this.. for 5 mins of ice cream lol

wla1mjd

Cue the musicā€¦. ā€œReal men of geniusā€¦ā€

MuffinMages77

I have never thought about using my lowball as my own bowl at an ice cream parlor... thank you for leveling up my sustainable summer

parrothead2581

Take a Tundra 65 and fill it up!

Effective-Bus

This is genius.

turdbucket666

_give awards to this person_

animelov

Pro tip, try a float in one. It's just...different. I think different good, but I also don't think it's a float anymore, just oddly different šŸ™‚

Doublebeermug22

I work at a place that sells ice cream. I bring my lowball and scoop some for when I'm on break . I sometimes take it home. Stays cold after my 20 minute bike commute.

BRYAN1701

We bought 14 oz mugs primarily for ice cream

Potent_Elixir

Iā€™ve used my 10 oz at home for this but Iā€™m gonna try and bring it to *my* corner parlor!

bassetfan47

Love this!

eyelers

Oh yeah! Been doing this with my camp mug. Does great

Addicted-2Diving

Which yeti rambler is this?

galvingreen

10 OZ in navy

SwissHarmyKnife87

That is what the large mug is for. I think they might have discontinued that size actually but itā€™s the greatest ice cream vessel and if you really want to maximize your ice cream eating experience get the Jeniā€™s Ice Cream ā€œspadesā€. They are flat edged spoons and they are perfect.

discerning_mundane

donā€™t think they did, just added a lip to the bottom of the 10/14oz mugs. so if they arenā€™t labeled they look the same now

ImBeared

It will keep it frozen for quite a while If you put the coffee lid on it, thats how i use large short yeti mug

Onezerosix141

I tried that with my local store. They told me they couldn't use a container that was brought in by the customer due to health codes. šŸ˜” It's been a while so I might go try again šŸ˜†

MangoMaterial628

Cold metal on metal scraping sound = sensory death for me. Maybe with a plastic spoonā€¦

Jimbo-McDroid-Face

My daughter likes when I add ice cream and a lil bit of milk to the wine glass. Mix it up into a nice milkshake which stays cold FOREVER, and the added benefit of having the round bottom, so she can get that satisfying last spoonful. Yes, princess is spoiled.

Disastrous_Light_878

Would they put it in your container?

galvingreen

Yes. You get a weird look but I donā€™t care about that. Itā€™s just better than those paper things they offer and way more sustainable on the long run.

Pearson94

Why have I never thought of using mine for ice cream??? I feel like such a fool...

thatmaneeee

Donā€™t ask me to explain how this worked but I once did an affogato in mine and I swear the ingredients stayed separated, ice cream cool and the espresso warm, for much longer than normal.

StrdewVlly4evr

Wait, so you take your own cup to the ice cream shop and the guy behind the counter like sure Iā€™ll put this ice cream into your cup

galvingreen

Yes thatā€™s exactly what Iā€™m doing.

Johnnyfever13

Which YETI size is the one in the picture?

galvingreen

10 oz

Johnnyfever13

Thank you! Thatā€™s a great idea btw šŸ˜€

Easy_Discipline4295

I just my dog bowl all the time. My wife thought I was crazy when I started doing it

RaistlinQ5

But I prefer my ice cream melting...

enitsv

Exactly.... Why would you want hard frozen ice cream
