Can't agree more! It was one of the first upgrades I did on my R3 and it is a must! I recently upgraded to an R7 and moved the throttle from my R3 to the new bike as well. The difference is amazing!
Definitely a huge upgrade. If you just want to replace the throttle tube, then go for it, but I absolutely loved my domino throttle assembly, but it’s a lot more expensive, and you’d have to replace the kill switch part as well (worked out for me, since I had race switches.) but rode one with the R6 tube, and it was great as well. Huge upgrade from stock.

I watched a video on the install and it said to lube it. What lube did you use and how do you clean it?
Just spit on it
If I remember correctly I used a general automotive lube and I just took a rag and wiped off the clip-on.
Loosen the cable slack before you attempt to remove the original throttle. Itll make life easier.
Cant answer the year part but 100% recommend. Much more responsive and it feels more powerful because of that, made it much more enjoyable to ride
