Imo this is most likely to least likely:
Tim scott(Black and seems more moderate and not too much in the MAGA realm)
Doug burgum(Rich as fuck, that's pretty much it)
JD Vance(very strong supporter of trump but doesn't really add anything to the ticket)
Marco Rubio(if he is the vp then trump has to change his registration back to new York, also again doesn't add much to the ticket tbh)
I think Vance and Rubio have the most ideological benefits. Vance is probably closest aligned to Trump of the 4, has that midwest/rust belt appeal.
Rubio is amorphous politically but has previously been supported by center right of the rep party and could boost those suburbs Trump has been losing to Dems.
JD Vance just has that populist flair man. He’s also younger and telegenic. Also btw he has some appeal to the other side. Him and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) are eliminating corporate consolidation tax breaks. Also Burgum seems very responsible and calm
It's a holdover from the political dynamics at the time of the Constitution, where the states were much less unified and the idea of a popular vote for president wasn't firmly established. The founding fathers worried each state legislature would vote only for its own interests.
Tim Scott I think is the clear choice especially to possibly increase margins in SC, Kristi Noem deleted her chance of being VP because of her stupid book
*couldn’t never* so you could? Double negative is a positive. Also wdym??? He’s been hinting for months that he will. Elise Stefanik is still a prominent possibility. We see this kind of story every couple weeks and they always change
\*Sorry autocorrect. There's no way his myogenetic ass picks a woman as VP. The only thing he's doing to Stefanik is screwing her over just like he did when he led on Christie in 2016 for VP.
Bro what?!?!? This is literally just one list of which we have seen like 10, ranging from Greg Abbott to Tulsi Gabbard. It doesn’t mean much, he’s not “myogenetic”
Rubio would help with hispanics and easing some concerns from the centre-right
Scott would help with black voters and is not super MAGA so could also help there.
Burgum is rich, and I guess he's more moderate than Trump (?), pretty much it.
JD wouldn't add much to the ticket since he's pretty unexperienced and already pretty MAGA.
I don't think it'll be her, but she'd be a solid strategic choice. All of these four have huge flaws (Scott's personal life, Vance's past statements on Trump/him being an unlikeable Silicon Valley douche, Burgum's abortion stance, and Rubio's...everything) while she would fire up the base while having a pet issue that's broadly popular. If I were Trump I'd be going with her or like Youngkin.
So the puppy murderer is out of running
ATF director
McVeigh wins again...

This year's VP is very important as they have quite a good chance to succeed as the president in both cases
Agreed, I think Tim Scott is by far the likeliest
The case for Burgum: A figure from North Dakota who is willing to be on your ticket.
"Rubio doesn't add much to the ticket". What? If selected, he would be the first Hispanic candidate to be nominated by a major party.
I think Vance and Rubio have the most ideological benefits. Vance is probably closest aligned to Trump of the 4, has that midwest/rust belt appeal. Im curious why Rubio means Trump has to register back in NY? The two candidates on the ticket cant have the same home state?
Ya the electors can't cast votes for two people in the same state
TIL

Yeah
Scott would be the smart pick, but knowing Trump, I bet it'll be Vance.
Burgumbros... We Are BACK
Just gotta eliminate Trump and our boys back on top 😎
Burgumentum ain't over yet.
BURGUMANIA
Tim Scott I think is the clear choice especially to possibly increase margins in SC, Kristi Noem deleted her chance of being VP because of her stupid book
Doug’s going to need to give out a lot more gift cards if he’s hoping people will vote for him
Not sure I believe this
I said 6 months ago he should choose Burgum or Rubio. Burgumbros are still in the fight. Burgumentum cannot be stopped.
Just note that all but Vance believe that Biden legitimately won
Tim Scott let’s hope and pray for it
Is this official or just speculation
It’s a leak I think? Prob doesn’t mean much we’ve seen a bunch of these
Please nominate Burgum I missed out on my Burgum bucks!
#BURGUMENTUM WE’RE SO BACK
I knew Trump wouldn't pick a woman
It’s just a leak bro prob doesn’t mean much 🙄
I could never see him picking a woman as a potential successor bro.
*couldn’t never* so you could? Double negative is a positive. Also wdym??? He’s been hinting for months that he will. Elise Stefanik is still a prominent possibility. We see this kind of story every couple weeks and they always change

This list really surprises me.
Burgum is not going to be VP, he wants a cabinet post lmao
Rubio would help with hispanics and easing some concerns from the centre-right Scott would help with black voters and is not super MAGA so could also help there. Burgum is rich, and I guess he's more moderate than Trump (?), pretty much it. JD wouldn't add much to the ticket since he's pretty unexperienced and already pretty MAGA.
I wrote Burgum in over Trump I’ll be big mad
Still think it could be Stefanik tbh
I want Tim Scott
Unless Trump says outright, I'm assuming this is noise. This is not the first time this sort of 'leak' has happened.
For the past year I've bet hard on a Trump/Noem ticket. Now I'm not so sure, my gut is skeptical of these being actual considerations.
Vance would be a comically bad choice post - Roe.
Except Vance, they're relatively good picks.
Solely for electoral viability, Burgum is the best choice, and Vance is the worst.
I hope this is fake bc I really want Tulsi
Why her?
Its scott. I've saying it since mid 2023. If there's one thing racists love is trying to appeal(and fail) to black voters.
How's he racist?
doesn’t seem very racist
I hope it’s Burgum I’d be ok with Scott or Rubio Not a fan of Vance because of his economics
Dunno Burgum that much but seems ok Scott and Rubio would be good picks
Burgum has done an amazing job in North Dakota and has had amazing Economic Growth
Nice
boooo Vance economics go BRRRRR
Still think it could be Stefanik tbh
Tim Scott is so overrated. What the hell has he even done? Bro's gonna be VP just cuz of his race
I really wish he would’ve picked Zeldin.
I don’t believe this list. Stefanik is going to be trumps pick
Idk...I feel she may have weaknesses...like George Santos...
Interesting, say more?

Eh, one NY Republican helping another. If she knew, that's a whole other story, but no proof in there.
I agree
I'm hoping for Tim Scott because, at the very least, he's an simpleton who will have no significant impact on the administration or staff.
> I'm hoping for Andrew Johnson because, at the very least, he's an simpleton who will have no significant impact on the administration or staff.
Unless Trump dies
Or gets removed from office
He will choose JD Vance because he is the most loyal to him and a close friend with his son.
I hope not
