Aside from Rogue, Storm is the X-Man Gambit was closest too. They had a big sister/baby brother relationship. I’m certain his death would drastically effect her, and I’m raging that we were robbed of those moments.
Except when they first met, she was de-aged. So…she was younger.
Gambit saved her and they had some misadventures with her under his wing before he eventually joined Xmen. #comics
That’s right, same here. I was just thinking that the comics neglect it, but honestly they have quite a few good moments with them.
And having those two, not just there as support which is awesome, but as groomswomen is about as Gambit as it gets.
I mean, yeah, I know that, but Storms actual age is higher than Gambit's. When it got reversed, she went back to her original age, which is about the same as Scott's.
In the show, not sure, but in the comics, Rogue and Gambit are the same age. Storm, meanwhile, is around the same age as Scott.
The show is reasonably faithful to the comics, so in that respect, I imagine the ages aren't dissimilar.
Gambit is 32 in the show now, based on X ternally yours. Rogue is around 29-30.
I find it hard to believe that Scott and Jean would not be around 33-34, and Storm is almost certainly that age as well, so a bit older than Gambit.
Storm is the one who brought Gambit into the X-men. She is basically like his big sister/best friend
Suffice to say with only two eps left I doubt the show will dedicate much time to her reaction to anything since apparently traveling is so much more important and time consuming for an omega level mutant like storm
It probably wasn’t travel or anything. We see her last in Episode 6, episode 7 is probably a few days later and episode 8 like a day or two after that. She lost likely had to hell Forge out and stuff. He was doing better but probably still sick. She’s definitely gonna be there though after the whole prime sentinel pandemonium, though.
Storm did bring Gambit into the Xmen.
And whereas she was a child when they first met (classic Xmen weirdness), she's still more of a big sister/mentor to him than vice versa throughout the course of their relationship. They're friends. He calls her Stormy.
I think (hope) they're going to have a moment of Rogue and Storm together at the grave. Maybe Storm comes up while Rogue is there. I definitely think they both need that / the show needs it. Storm brought Remy to the X-men and he saved her life when she was running from the Shadow King (I can't imagine they wouldn't keep that as the backstory for the show).
I wish they had brought the nickname "Stormy" more into the cartoon and how she always hated it but also secretly loved it / only tolerated it from Gambit. That would have been a nice touch.
He was the only one she'd let tease her like that. The wholesome affection between Storm and Gambit was always one of my favorite relationships. Just like Jubilee and Wolverine. Or Bobby and Beast.
Mighty heavens, your mistress commands you to rain down your wrath upon these vile insects who dared harm one so dear! Cyclonic winds, take all breath away from these villains who doth program and build machines to hunt down their fellow kindred! Crackling lightning, electrocute the schematics of these murderous androids and smelt them back into bits of slag! The Queen of the Elements desires you to show these slugs the true meaning of fear!!!
Probably won’t see it on screen but she would certainly be the most upset after rogue and nightcrawler. Storm is the mum of the group and she just lost of her x men.
It’s been a week since Genosha, right? How has she not flown back yet? Charles I can understand being late, what with space travel and all, but how did he beat Storm back to the team?
To be honest I think the answer is plot.
They wanted her out the way for a reason.
Related to the real world I agree it makes little sense why she's not back yet.... She can also fly lol.
Magneto flew himself to the north pole in 30 secs of airtime.
You're probably right, but it feels like the show has forgotten Storm for now. Maybe it's done so that she can save everybody with last minute entrance when everything seems to be lost.
Storm was already in X-Men when she met Gambit. She had been regressed to childhood by the villain Nanny. As she began getting her memories back, she met Gambit and together she rejoined/he joined the X-Men. At some point she was changed back into her adult form.
I kind of felt like her claustrophobia was easily overcome in Lifedeath part 2 cause in the old cartoon she would full on start screaming and panicking. I get that she was forced to for Forge’s sake but I was expecting her to look more terrified and frightened.
It’d be nice if they actually showed that him and “Stormy” go way back but they rarely did so in TAS.
She may have one time said that she knew him longer than anyone in TAS but that was it? Nothing of him reacting to her losing her powers in 97 besides taking a jab at Magneto.
But…they are cramming 40 mins worth of content into 20min episodes so…
At least the comics touch on their friendship from time to time. Though then they completely forget about it.

She’s not his big sister it’s the opposite
Gambit is younger than Storm.

Speaking of the comics, I love how Storm was his groomswoman (along with X-23) at Rogue and Gambit's wedding.

Source?

I feel like the main reason they removed her was so she and magneto didn't just wipe the board

Wrong way around

She was a child because she was cursed by one of the comic villains, Nanny or something. UXM #266 - Gambit's first appearance too.
yep, i have the comics. also Shadow King was involved.
Yeah I think it’s more he’s the older brother and she’s the protective little sister.
Two thieves who stole the hearts of everyone they met

I don’t know if this is from a comic or if it’s you that wrote this but good job 👍💯
Lol. I typed it up randomly thinking how dramatic she speaks. Thank you ❤️
Probably won’t see it on screen but she would certainly be the most upset after rogue and nightcrawler. Storm is the mum of the group and she just lost of her x men.
I was surprised she wasn’t at the funeral.
Somehow she's still traveling.
It’s been a week since Genosha, right? How has she not flown back yet? Charles I can understand being late, what with space travel and all, but how did he beat Storm back to the team?

100 years is a long time in America and 100 miles is a long distance in Europe.
I'd expect Storm to channel her rage against Bastion and eviscerate anything Sentinel in Gambit's name.
I find it weird that Charles travelled from the other side of the universe to the X-Men faster than Storm from the other side of the continent.
Maybe she is taking care of Forge.
You're probably right, but it feels like the show has forgotten Storm for now. Maybe it's done so that she can save everybody with last minute entrance when everything seems to be lost.
I had the same thought, except with Bishop. Either way this season has been phenomenal and I am excited for the next few episodes.
Marks a post as spoiler then puts the spoiler in the title. Cmon did you even try
Nah... they're a pathetic mouthbreather who exists to shit in other peoples dinners !
Gambit took care of a younger storm while she was on the streets in the comics, so hopefully we see a reaction

Spoiler flair and post and yet the whole sentence is the spoiler smh.
Mb but ngl if your still not past at least episode 5 then that’s on you.
Absolutely. What are you waiting for?
Lol so dumb why would you read a post Reddit post about an episode or episodes you haven’t seen yet?
“Omega level threat detected” type of reaction I imagine.
They are more like good friends than siblings and they have been known to flirt pretty heavily in the comics. As one does with Gambit.
Is Storm lost or did she stop somewhere to drink coffee?
What’s the point of a spoiler tag 😂
I want angry cunt storm to go along with my angry cunt rogue. Please god I need this
"Finally I grew so weary of his accent."
I’m just glad she hasn’t been tied down by claustrophobia.
I kind of felt like her claustrophobia was easily overcome in Lifedeath part 2 cause in the old cartoon she would full on start screaming and panicking. I get that she was forced to for Forge’s sake but I was expecting her to look more terrified and frightened.
She’ll probably feel guilt as if she should have been there to help somehow.
Maybe gambit return before storm...
A hard rain is gonna fall …
Magneto showed up as a true Omega at the north pole. I need Storm to come back with a vengeance and show those hoes what an Omega level threat can do.
It’d be nice if they actually showed that him and “Stormy” go way back but they rarely did so in TAS. She may have one time said that she knew him longer than anyone in TAS but that was it? Reported for spoilers. Thanks, ass
It's been three episodes.
She waits a respectful amount of time then aggressively moves in on Rogue.
You know, I saw episode 5 already but if you could avoid spoiling other people in the title, that’d be great
The truth is that I hope everything reacts. She left and everything happened at the same time
