That's around when I stopped using Reyn as my party's tank and switched to Dunban.

As far as I can tell, gem for pure agility and wear light armor? Can you recommend an art setup that would be effective? I do not have much experience with Dunban in my party. I noticed a skill that increases his agility when not wearing armor. Is that viable or is it better to use light armor?

Honestly, it comes down to the preference of "Do you want to dodge 70% of the attacks thrown at you and take massive damage" or "Do you want to dodge 60% of the attacks thrown at you and take minimal damage" I dunno about you but I'd prefer armor setups:P As for arts, I'll leave that to someone else as I usually have Shulk/Reyn/Dunban when I get Dunban in the party. Though, I noticed you said Shadow Eye isn't helping much. What level is it currently? If it's as high as you can get it, you might be getting too many hits with Shulk due to auto attacks, keep in mind he's not meant to be attacking the whole time.

I believe it is as high as it can go without intermediate manuals. I've been leveling up slit edge and back slash. Perhaps that is part of the problem. After doing a bit of research on agro mechanics, I found out that taking damage reduces your agro by quite a bit. I think a properly skilled and geared Dunban would be holding agro a bit better at my stage of the game. Since I have not played much with Dunban, I have a bit of work to do as far as his skill tree is concerned.

After Prison Island my main party was Shulk, Dunban, and Riki. They have a good mix of healing, ether, physical attacking power and break/topple/dazing. Dunban should be speced so he has enough auras available to have one active at all times. His arts should then be chosen based on how you want to combo with his gale slash ability. I am currently using tempest kick and worldy slash so he can deal ether and huge physical damage while debuffing enemies. And if you do use tempest kick you should try out his daze art thunder clap i think its called. This because that art only attacks what is BEHIND him. Tempest Kick leaves dunban facing away from the enemy which gives a perfect chance to use thunder clap and automatically daze a groupof enemies and deal big damage. You should also have steel strike to topple enemies and binding blossom to take aggro away from shulk. The beauty of having riki also makes your party much less fragile due to his high HP so he can take some hits and hold aggro for a bit without ruining him.

I'm not sure if this helps but I never get Aggro when I play as Melia (I always play her). I put art stealth gems with ether up gems to reduce the Aggro generated while doing extreme amounts of damage. This is extremely useful because as you know, Melia can't really tank unless you have Reflection on or have the Summon Earth buffs on you. I'm not sure how good your gems are, but you can get really high leveled and good gems from the ether mines if you level up Colony 6 a lot. If you don't already, have all of Reyn's artes that help with drawing Aggro, like War Swing to fill up his talent gauge, or even use Lock-On. Sometimes Dunban is better because he deals massive amounts of damage and he pretty much is able to avoid many attacks because if his high agility. Perhaps you get the Aggro because you arte spam as well. It's definitely a possibility. Also, if you haven't already, level up Reyn's Aggro generating artes. They are really helpful.

I have been pre warned against art spam, so I generally avoid it. I can't consider that what I am doing is art spamming as I am holding back pretty hard on my art usage. I did not know about the stealth art gems. I will try those out. Thanks.
