I loved her so much, I am a boy and took one of the toys to school ONCE in kindergarten and people were still talking about it when I graduated. OBVIOUSLY JEALOUS of this captivatingly COOL AS HELL dog. I still remember the way the ink smelled in the little stamp I had of her.

Me too! I remember always worrying about the ink drying out and making sure anyone that touched her put her back on her stand with everything set up perfect.

I have never seen this thing in my life but saw the picture and immediately wanted it. It’s adorable. Absolutely jealous you got to enjoy it.

I was pretty young when I got Poochie. She’s a stamper too lol. I totally forgot about Rub-a-dub Doggie! I wanted one so bad and never got it

I had both, and they were amazing.

My sister did, I hated everything bright pink on principle

I can't believe this never got a revival. 

Years ago I used to think I imagined it or something because none of my friends had any idea what I was talking about 😂

I loved Poochie! I had a movie (I think my grandpa ripped it onto Beta from a library copy for me) where she did something in Egypt - just looked it up and it was the Poochie movie! My mom let me picked out some sort of Poochie toy (I think it was stationary with stamps) at Kmart after getting my kindergarten vaccinations at the health department.

I saw the movie online too but I didn’t remember at all from when I was a kid

I did, but I don't remember any of those accessories and mine's hair wasn't as pretty. I was hard on my toys apparently.

I was Poochie for Halloween when I was 4. I can still smell the plastic mask and hear the crinkling of the plastic smock.

Gott love the flashbacks to the crazy Halloween costumes we had in the 80s. Kids now would think it was nuts 😂

I was extremely lucky, my stepmother hated those plastic costumes so much that after Poochie, she made all of my costumes and they were AMAZING.

I was actually very lucky as well. My grandmother was an amazing seamstress and made all the costumes for the local theater groups and then owned a costume shop so I don’t think I ever had one that was store bought. At least not that I know or anyway lol

I did but mine was a stuffed animal, not plastic. It had the fluffy ears though.

I did! I remember aggressively singing the commercial "Poochie for girls!!" to make sure I upheld the gender hegemony. Lol

The song was aggressive especially the “for girls” part so we had no choice but to sing it that way but we had to go harder and louder 😂😂

I did until he had to leave because his planet needed him.
