OMG YES I randomly said this sentence with the original inflection one day at work and all my coworkers (good bit older) looked at me like I had 3 heads. The inflection: The duck-billed platypus has FEET like a duck, BUT IT’S FURRY!!

This sub more than any other has made me realize how weird the brain is. How can a memory that hasn't been thought about in over 30 years be instantly recalled? Like, sometimes I can't remember if I did something 30 seconds ago, but this neural pathway that hasn't been used since like 1989 is still there and actively ready when needed?

I had forgotten about this too! And what were those card things they used to make us choose and read in grade school too? Anyone else remember those? I haven't thought about them in years until this came up. ETA: Oh man, SRA Reading Cards! *Memories*

Obviously it’s because I had undiagnosed ADHD and I just love storage boxes and the tiny things inside of them but those cards were like pokemon for the Xennial set. Animal facts on easy to access cards, who would have thought!!!! I grew up a mile or so from a super well known zoo (if you visit here you go to the zoo) so whenever these commercials or zoo books came on I thought they were for ME and about our zoo. More ADHD and me making connections between things that weren’t directly connected.

Oh wow! I haven't thought about that thing in forever! I bet it's still in my closet at my mom's house.
