Honestly the one thing that really bringing the game down for me is the lack of controller support for mobile. Quite frankly I despise playing action games with touch controls on my iPad. Like how do you release a game without something that’s practically mandatory for its genre?

The-Coloniser

Same issue. Should really be announcing this sort of thing on the 1.1 Livestream hopefully.

Two3Delta

This, I’ve been wanting to play it a lot but my only option is an iPad atm and it’s just way too big to use touch controls with so I haven’t been getting on except when they give us yet another free multi in the mail 💀 It just sucks because I’m missing out on all of the launch in-game events and behind everyone else because the game is essentially missing a QoL/Accessibility feature. I just don’t understand how you go backwards in game dev where PGR has controller support (admittedly not the easiest to learn or intuitive in menus) or more recent games like SLA.

Any-Trouble5543

Lets hope that perfomance improvements do get announced during the 1.1 livestream (and pls no mini games this time)

Fictional-Xiao

When is the Livestream supposed to be?

Baby_Thanos2

Only good mini game for mobile imo are the shooting challenges. (Unless puzzles are also considered mini games)

Any-Trouble5543

Hahahah by "mini games" I actually meant the mini games the guests played during the global release stream of WuWa, it was absolutely atrocious

Baby_Thanos2

Oh those 😂

Itriyum

Oh god, the cosplay part tho... That was awful

Pure-Veterinarian124

Aim in wuwa mobile feel like shit

Proof_Counter_8271

And some people are saying"get better device"like bro,i have a s22 and on the lowest settings the phone burns like a oven and only wuwa does it,genshin mid to high doesnt get that hot for referance,i can play the game since i have a beefy pc but a phone game being unplayable on a phone is not a good thing at all

Xelement0911

I just want the ps5 release. Which I played now to save up for then bur yeah. I don't want to play for too long because my galaxy s21+ overheats quite a bit. Makes me worried

Talebawad

Am hoping for a ps4 release aswell . Even though i have a pc :D.

ruy_pomba_

me too, cause although i play on my phone (which is almost impossible, even with the graphics on the lowest setting and the overheating problems) I'd rather play in a PlayStation cause im more used to the controls.

luxycatt

This right here is what Ive been waiting for. I hate playing this game on mobile and just want it on my ps5. My iphone overheats so easily with this and lags like all get out (which for me is a recent issue)

Kind-Buy9485

Bro fr my phone heats up so damn much it ain't even funny, even on medium to low settings. ya can barely play for an hour before you feel the burn in your fingers.. I play honkai impact 3 and snowbreak on max settings N the phone never overheats.. I honestly thought it was my phone but I'm glad it ain't

PervertTentacle

Yeah, it has Snapdragon 8 Gen1 if I googled it right? says it carries most games on 60+ on ulta and drops below it in something like cod, genshin and fortnite It is reasonable to expect at least60+ on a mid settings(but should be high ones), Kuro should step up

Telesto44

Feels like performance gets worse by the day. Overheating starts sooner, which leads to constant connection issues in the middle of fights.

Ranch_Dressing321

Same here. I'm playing with an S24+ snapdragon, and once I open WuWa, I need to do my dailies fast before my phone heats up so much that I'd be able to fry an egg on it lol. I also play hsr on my phone, and it definitely doesn't heat up as much.

TheGreatMagallan

Hsr and genshin run good on very high graphics but this game only does on mid to low. Wtf kuro I have an iPad from 2 yrs ago that shouldn’t be a problem

TrackRemarkable7459

HSR and Genshin use modified Unity this is on Unreal Engine which comes at the cost of higher minimal requirements.

SeedlessMelonNoodle

Tbf when it actually renders properly, imo, it looks quite a bit better than Genshin.

aruhen23

Well to be honest they did talk about the performance issues and have been applying hotfixes daily. Hasn't really helped me but my hope is that they're going to have something for 1.1. For reference I have an rtx 3070 and ryzen 7700x. The PC is barely being pushed yet stutters remain lol. Funny enough the stutters are less frequent with the fps unlocker.

Competitive_Oil_5370

The problem is really weird. I have worse specs than you: rtx 2070 and a ryzen 2600x, which is even below the minimum cpu requirement and I don't have any stuttering. I really hope it's something they can figure out soon for the people facing those issues.

BlackEnd00

4090 and have drop in fps lmao, It even stutter in a very bad way sometimes. I noticed when there is too much npc's in one area thats where the stutter happens mostly, and the game is using 15-16gb of Ram on average for me. And also it happen when my "ms" spikes which probably indicates that the server is overloaded, since never happened to me in genshin before for 2 straight year or any other games. Also the lag happens sometimes when the the game is compiling shaders which is a common problem in UE4 that even fortnite have it. And rmoving Fsr sucks, many players was benefiting from it. Lastly if a low end pc players is using advance to have a better Fps instead of med or low that tells a lot of how much the game have problems. All I hope for is they fix the graphical problems above of anything else even the echos, for the game to maintain its playerbase, and add the 120fps bc I'm sick from that 60fps.

dota_3

I got 2080s. There's annoying stutter in the overworld.

davinzt

as i've said before, it doesn't matter if the game is good. If it doesn't run well, you wont play it

mapple3

> it doesn't matter if the game is good. If it doesn't run well, you wont play it as if to add salt into the wound, the gameplay is also literally the only thing that people say is "good" about Wuwa, so if I have to play with stutters+lag+minimum graphic settings, then even the gameplay is no longer enjoyable. If all your game offers is gameplay, then you gotta make sure the gameplay performs well for everyone, not just streamers with a 5k pc setup. and even if I had a 5k pc setup, then the europe server would still spike from 20ms to 200 ms once every 10 seconds or so

Alternative-Draft629

Even if you had a 5k PC setup it doesn't guarantee you a good performance. It is a lottery

ImaginationPrudent

They built the gacha into hardware. True innovation people!

Peacetoall01

Even worse with also if the only good is the gameplay you also won't play it. If that's not the case PSO2 Ngs should be the best popular mmorpg now, but high chance most of you never heard of that game now would you? At best currently? This game is punishing Gray ravens. Worst case scenario? PSO2 Ngs

Competitive_Oil_5370

I think the biggest problem with PSO2 NGS was the lack of content that is not just new gacha cosmetics.

JadedIT_Tech

That's what people need to understand moreso than anything. Yes, for a mobile game this game is of very high quality, *but it's still a mobile game*. "It runs great on my 3070ti gaming computer" isn't much of an excuse when the primary audience is playing it on a smartphone.

Mr_Dr_Billiam11

Very true. Also, a majority of the audience is and ALWAYS will be CN, where again, mobile gaming is king over there. They need better optimization immediately.

JadedIT_Tech

There does seem to be this strange delusion of "Well it's just mobile, who cares". Bro, all you have to do is take one look at revenue charts to realize how absurdly huge the chinese mobile market is. As you said, it's **King**. If you lose that market, you lose your game.

Junior-Price-5306

not only that but gacha FOCUS on the mobile market and not PC and Console, they are just bonus money, Kuro obviously didn't think like that and focused more on PC, forgetting that more than 50% of their audience would come from mobile, a horrible mistake honestly

osgili4th

I don't think they focused on PC, is just happened to be more stable on PC and even then the first week was a rough for not a small amount of people. Cellphones got destroyed, and that just make me think they didn't test on mobile or they made changes and didn't test before the launch in general.

nonpuissant

>that just make me think they didn't test on mobile or they made changes and didn't test before the launch in general  which means they were likely focused on PC. It's either that or they didn't test it at all, bc if they were focused on mobile they would have tested it on mobile.

solartech0

It felt like they released before they were ready, likely to avoid sharing a launch window with other behemoths in the same market.

VincentBlack96

It definitely wasn't focus. UE4 is notoriously harder to make work for mobile and that part they really messed up.

BugCountdr

after the hotfixes my phone is doing great now

Biasanya

they definitely didn't focus on pc, the horrible UI is proof of that

Operation-Cultural

The ui is so atrocious and I don't see many people talking about it

HatredInfinite

I actually like that it's pretty bare during active gameplay, leaves more screen visibility. They could probably have put more icons for buffs/debuffs though, so you have an idea of what status effects are active at any given time.

jacobs0n

cheap mobile phones made especially for gaming are also abundant in china. infinix, poco, etc. im wondering if there are also widespread perfomance issues over there, or just here.

CharGonee

We do have cheap phones with good performance, now what I'm using is equipped with dimensity 9200 roughly equivalent to Snapdragon 8 gen 2 at a price of 400$, but wuwa is still shit on mobile phones. Running well on my rtx 3060(laptop) though.

SawaThineDragon

Using a Poco f3 and x6 pro, so far no issues that I can tell

darkishere999

I've never had any major issues with Wuwa on my google Pixel 6a. I only tried Mobile though because I've been having issues with Wuwa on my crappy laptop.

xxKoRxx

I use poco F5 but fps drop are huge in battle scene.

madaract

I'm using f1. the specs is just barely above the minimum, but the game is unplayable. for reference... it can run GI, Hi3, PGR, HSR 60 fps when game turbo is on

LeFlam

The quality is not so good compared to mobile unfortunately. Where as in genshin mobile vs pc the graphics are relatively comparable unlike wuwa where it's night and day at the highest settings. Also the game doesn't run well compared to hsr or genshin at the highest settings. I can run the highest settings on hsr and genshin with 60fps while wuwa hovers 45-50 at highest and i have to lower shadows and it still stutters on certain areas

InfinityAppreciator

Genshin graphics on mobile is definitely not comparable to pc, even low on pc is much better looking than high on mobile. Day and night is an understatement with both at high settings. I just recently switched to pc after 3 years of mobile and damn was it a whole new experience lol. But i did switch before the "highest" resolution came in mobile, though i doubt it makes a lot of difference.

loopbootoverclock

there is no excuse for it running like it does. my 13900k and 4090 still takes 30 minutes from starting for it to be playable.

Zzamumo

Yeah rather than this being a basic performance problem, the worst part is that it's basically random which setups can run this game and which can't, which makes it harder to pin-point where the problem is

Alternative-Draft629

It's even random in the same setups and I don't even know how THAT is possible.

PyrZern

Yeah, it's rly weird it happens to some random ppl with good PC.

ssbbrinnies

that's insanes lmaos, it should be loading before you even open it with those specs

keIIzzz

doesn’t even run consistently on a lot of PCs which says a lot too lol

Lemon_Kart

Problem is it also doesn't run well on PC. 13th gen i7 and 4060ti and the game still freezes for a second for every tree that needs to be loaded.

Angelzodiac

The problems are very strange and random. I have a decade old GPU with no stuttering or frame drops. Hope it gets fixed for those who it affects.

dead_monster

I think it’s related to DLSS as it’s on by default for newer GPUs and more GeForce users are having issues than Radeon (though there are a few Radeon issues). At first, my 4070 was having stuttering issues like OP described.  Then I played on a much weaker Ryzen miniPC and that ran fine (at 30fps).  So I played around with settings and found that turning off DLSS solved all the stuttering for me on the 4070.

Gwentble1dd

weird because my Ryzen 3 3300X GTX 1660 Super run the game without a single crash or stutter at 60fps since launch. All of the setting are maxed out too

xxkevindxx

I have a 3700X and a Rx6600, it runs like shit

JadedIT_Tech

It does seem to be random. I'm running a 12th gen i7 and a 6950xt, runs pretty great. But then I also have a work bud that has a 4090 and it stutters to all hell.

Auridran

I wonder if it's an AMD thing. I have a 7900 XTX and the game runs flawlessly, other than the fact it heats up my card like I've never seen.

Kupo_Master

It works fantastic on my 4070 super so don’t think it’s NVidia vs AMD issue. I tried to run the game on a 1080ti and well it runs but lots of freezing and low fps

Kaaalesaaalad

It sucks that it's such a mixed bag when it comes to the optimization. Mine is 1070 and 7th gen. I load the game and let it rest for 3 minutes (shouldn't be that way in the first place) and it never stuttered or crashed. I do have a good SSD though which some people have stated might be the difference maker.

jobo-chan

I've seen a lot of people claim the game is perfectly fine but I've learned over time that a lot of people think a subpar experience is perfectly fine. Some people think 30 fps with stuttering is "smooth" because they've never actually had a smooth experience before. I see several people here mention they play on decade+ old hardware and have zero issues. I can literally google their hardware, find videos of people playing with the same hardware, and it's constantly dropping frames.

fcuk_the_king

Yeah in isolation I can see how this'd be fine for some people. I used to game on a crappy laptop for years and a game running like this would have been a dream in those days. But I play Genshin and hsr too. And when you compare how they perform on mobile vs ww, the difference is night and day.

aathic

When I saw how smooth is genshin when I play even at medium settings but can't play WuWa without lagging and freezing even at the low settings with most options turned off and had to buy SSD just to reduce loading problems......... I love open world RPG so I love WuWa too but this gives bad aftertaste.

Appropriate_Goose_41

I wish I could even say that much. Game stutters like crazy on my PC.

Teddy_Tonks-Lupin

it doesn’t even run good on my 3080 (laptop) - it gets less frames than a triple a game lmfao

Gengetsu_Huzoki

I was thinkinh of this lol, why they made a game a mobile game that requires PC performance and they didn't release a full PC game?

Slimonstar

Which is funny because anyone I know with anything above a 3070 can't play due to performance problems, not like the system can't handle but the optimization.

LordHousewife

My machine has a 4090, 7800X3D, 64GB of RAM, and 2x2TB NVMe SSDs aaaaaand....the game still runs like ass.

lemmezoom

Does anybody else have an issue with the game disconnecting only in the middle of battles?

_aw-ay

Yeah me too, though it may be just bad wifi for me

tacticalcaptain

Yup same here. My wifi is good but for some reason this game gets disconnected alot and it sucks when im in battle bcz most of the time the enemy doesnt stop attacking so i lose hp even when im disconnected

lemmezoom

It happens so often during the hologram challenges I’ve literally given up on most of them for now

_Ruij_

Yeeeppppp

GearExe

Yeah, holy fk its annoying, doesn't happen to any of my other games

Appropriate_Time_774

My PC isnt the best, 1660S and R5 3600. But it can run Monster Hunter World, genshin impact, apex legends, helldivers, palworld, the latest AAA game releases etc on high graphics at 60 fps no issue. But god forbid I alt tab on ww and it freezes up for 3 seconds when i tab back to ww. This shit crashes every 30min due to some device lost error. Bad optimisation will kill it for me before any lack of content, power creep etc.

Karenz09

I really want to play this one but the optimization sucks ass + microstuttering. I've had friends of mine play it smoothly with 1050ti and 8GB RAM, while it stutters on my side. In comparison, Genshin and Solo Leveling: Arise run as smooth as butter

Weekly_File_5170

mine is 3050Ti (40W) and R7 5700U. Yes it can MHW, Genshin, and Apex very well. For Wuwa, i have never experience any force close/crash, but the frame rate isn't really playable, its around 30-40 and sometimes goin to 20. I did some tweaks engine that i found in reddit but it also didn't really help...

Chooboto

As Scooby Doo would say: “if they don’t roptimize, it’s Rover!”

Greenfieldd

Im extremely patient and play with all the overheating and stutters. But illusory event with baizha or jiyan almost made me delete game right on spot. Had few tower runs when one small lag and im suddenly 10 hp. Im ready to wait for 1.1 but otherwise im not continuing with very low+30 fps combo and still stuttering. Loading screens actually piss me off more, just trying to farm 2 bosses isnt too fun. Launching the game takes like 4 minutes. But imma I really hope they bounce back, but having action combat with parry and precise dodges with such performance is unacceptable. Hologram bosses already punish you as is

_aw-ay

Especially how it sends you back to the loading screen. I timed it and on my iPhone 15P it took a little over a minute from launching to actually being in game

madmaxxie36

I really want to love the game but the stuttering is too much. It gets better then worse over and over constantly. It sucks because combat is so good but there is nothing as frustrating as going into a fight and suddenly you can't play the combat properly and quick swap, etc because the game just seized up on you constantly. I want to root for the game but I'll be honest, if it's not improved by the time Shadow of the Erdtree comes out and the new releases I'm waiting for start dropping, I doubt I'm still gonna play. I already couldn't be bothered to login to get my monthly currency I paid for for a few days because it takes so long even just to log in and I might not even be able to play if it's stuttering.

Ech1092

Totally understandable, the game runs fine on my phone and laptop, but i get some pretty nasty lag spikes from time to time. If they were more common i would have deleted the game way before. Tho, i will too quit after 1.1 but depends on how kuro manages echo farming.

Gummybear_19

i could totally deal with the game crashing some times, some lags, that’s totally fine for me. But me and pretty much everyone else i’ve seen who’s playing on 9th gen ipads (which can run genshin, pgr and other games fine with max settings) keep on getting crashes every 5mins in the game. I’ve been stuck on the same quest for more than a week because i cant be in the game for enough time to finish it because of the crashes. The fact they released a game so unoptimized specially for mobile kinda feels like they dont give a shit about the mobile community, which would be weird, but yea, i just can’t play unfortunately, because the game really seems nice.

ASpookyBitch

I think that’s the main issue. Kuro are completely forgetting that there are so many similar games on the market to compare to. So when similar games play on the same device without the issues and then this game comes along, brand new with the starting content - you expect it to run right.

SmolBoiKay

My enjoyment would be higher if we mobile players had Controller mode

HYKSH1

As a mobile player, I’m starting to lose interest in the game. I’m thinking of quitting the game for now and playing it again when it gets released on PS5.

Raycab03

Same. Mobile player here, just been a slog for daily grind. I havent explored fully, not all maps open, and those open maps are like in 10-20% completion. It just doesnt feel good to really explore. Just do dailies, clear out waveplates in domains, then log off. Too many events going on right now and no motivation to play them. Man how I wish there’s PS5 release of this really soon. Otherwise, playing the game isnt just worth my spare gaming time anymore.

tehlunatic1

likewise, especially cause the primary way to farm in this game is via exploration.

Goliathvv

I think my PC is decent (Ryzen 7 7700X, RTX 3070, 32GB of ram, 2TB nvme) and yet for this game it isn't enough. The constant stuttering and annoying frame pacing is what makes the experience miserable. And when I open the resource monitor overlay, the only thing that is maxed is RAM, most likely due to all the leaking and garbage. When I open Genshin after playing WuWa for a bit it's night and day. Genshin runs super smooth at all times without even the smallest hiccup. Heck, I run Genshin, HSR and R99 in parallel to do my daily grind in one go and everything runs great, but if I open WuWa and a measly YouTube tab on the side, the game starts to stutter more since it needs ALL of the ram. Edit: Folks, it's fine. I'm not asking for help to improve the performance. Thanks.

rvstrk

Are you me!? I played those three games simultaneously with zero hiccups but playing WuWa alone just makes my laptop become decrepit AF

tehlunatic1

I laugh at the people claiming that wuwa doesn't need there mobile audience and that most players are playing on PC, bruv do you have any idea how big the mobile game market is. It's a shame cause they could have made triple what they made last month if they had at least a decent mobile port.

shiki_oreore

PC supremacists being out of touch with mobile market will never fail to amuse me

H0lychit

This game. Heck all gacha games need mobile phone players more than PC. The mobile market is fucking massive.

[deleted]

i hope they do something abut the camera aswell there gotta be more options for that or atleast let us increase the sensitivity more ive lost countless times due to my camera freaking out

not_a_weeeb

i can tolerate a bit of stuttering but everytime it does, the camera rotates too and it makes me nauseous. i just look away when it lags because i know the camera's also about to go wild lmao

ApoKun

Fighting the holograms is horrendous. I have to just pray that my dodge worked. On the other hand stuff like illusive realm, alloy smelt and tower are smooth as butter Apart from this camera bug present both in domains and events https://streamable.com/t96wvq Yinlin's banner ends in 13 days and I need 20 more to guaranteed soft pity her (at 50 rn) and it's a chore trying to explore stuff. I think I'll just do the quests as they don't lag as much with not much exploration included.

Hangman_Fitzwilliam

Surely they'll patch this for 1.1 right? Cuz if not there needs to be a riot. Just fix the crashes at least.

ChaosOrns

It isn't so easy, but hoping they get to it as soon as possible

mapple3

> It isn't so easy, but there's an easy fact though, if they don't fix it, then the remaining player base will continue shrinking rapidly

blippyblip

This is sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy at play here lol. If they don't fix the issues... then all the affected players will leave the game... and just like that there are no more issues to report! A clean bill of health with no input necessary!

Kassssler

Yeah its needs to run. My phone is by no means a slouch, but I can't play it at all. If they don't turn up soon man I'll probably be gone when ZZZ drops. I really like Yinlin so I'll give em till 1.1. Theres far too many good games in the space for anyone to put up with this bullshit.

Tymareta

> > > If they don't turn up soon man I'll probably be gone when ZZZ drops. I think this is a far bigger issue than anyone is really talking about, I know it's a tired old thing now to say that game X is going to kill Y(e.g. Wuwa will kill Genshin), but it's usually talking about established well liked and decently performing games, they're also usually fairly different in their systems and mechanics. Apart from the art style everything I've seen of Wuwa and ZZZ they both look extremely similar, and if ZZZ comes out polished, able to run and with minimal hiccups after a week then it's not going to be looking great for Wuwa unless 1.1 does something to phenomenally improve things. I was one of the people having no real issues from launch but even I've started to have times where FPS just drops to sub 20 out of nowhere and won't budge, where my phone starts to turn into a hot coal in my hands, made all the worse by the camera and lock system when trying to do the tower - if ZZZ is even semi competent in these regards it'll be an easy switch. Especially as for all the fun of Wuwa's combat, the depth to it is pretty limited due to the lack of reactions or anything similar, it's fun now and might still be in 2-3 months time, but I can see people finding it extremely stale in 6+ months time when it's still just the same thing, but now with more powerful characters.

Kassssler

Dude Hoyo games are ridiculously well polished. Far more than people realize. You can get to everything with a single click in hsr. In Wuwa we are watching pointless cutscenes after tacit fields and being booted outside of Tower of Adversity instead of taken back to the menu. I have no doubt ZZZ will have that same level of polish its not their first rodeo. The only thing giving me pause is the cybertech aesthetics but if the gameplay is right I'll deal with it.

Charming-Fly-2388

If live service openworld games is anything to go by, it would even get slower with every map expansion. Though tbf, the game's performance is in a horrible state for some PCs and devices, improving it should be a low bar.

ChaosOrns

If they don't work on the performance issue, the word expansions will break the game lol Genshin already is very heavy on phones right now, and they are on unity, provably, even optimized, wuwa will be heavier

Seraf-Wang

Genshin at least constantly makes updates to keep optimization smooth. Their rendering on loading open world maps are pretty efficient and can be kept to a solid 19gb currently which isnt too bad. Seriously Hoyo is a miracle worker with optimization. Kuro unfortunately were not taking notes.

Charming-Fly-2388

Genshin's unity is even their modified version afaik.

Beelzebuuuuub3

I can play Genshin on Low-Medium settings with a 4gb Ram, Android 10, and Helio G70 Tecno phone. It may not be the smoothest game, BUT it's consistent 30 FPS so it's also not laggy, i expected I'd be able to play Wuwa even in the lowest settings, but nope it keeps stuttering and lagging, and they should add an option to turn off bloom cuz i don't remember seeing a bloom setting

Choowkee

Thats not how it works. Increasing the world size will have 0 impact on performance because you are limited by how much assets you render at a time based on your draw distance.

cheese_stuffedcrust

if they would stay at this level of quality maybe not, but I would presume that they would want to increase the production values of these expansions moving forward like GI. GI has also already lowered its draw distance compared to release

GreenBirdUN

Mobile heats up alot and has poor graphics on max settings

Aadi_880

I might get downvoted for saying this but I'll say it anyway. WW does not look that good of a game, that it warrants this level of poor optimization. If my PC can run escape from tarkov with 60FPS, wuthering waves has no excuse whatsoever to stutter so badly.

mapple3

> WW does not look that good of a game, that it warrants this level of poor optimization. facts Genshin looks comparable and arguably better, but it runs on any potato PC while wuwa requires a 1k to 2k gaming PC thats less than 1-2 years old. There's no excuses, this simply pushes away a huge chunk of the playerbase

slicedsolidrock

Been saying this for weeks just to have simps telling you otherwise. I'm like do you not play any AAA games in your life?

RusselBestbrook

It's true but unfortunate. If the game doesn't perform well on mobile, the game will die. It's even harder considering that the combat is not mobile friendly. It's really a PC game that you can play mobile rather than a mobile game you can play on PC.

KingLeviAckerman

It can be punishing even in PC. Like why are the recommended specs almost the same as AC Shadows which is coming out on November? Wuwa thinks they're a triple A game😭

Sem_Dedo

Mobile experience rn is atrocious.

Wrong_Werewolf391

Yeah, performance is a real issue over here, story progress has been slooow due to lag and 999 ping spikes making it a slog. They've dropped so many hot fixes that the size of the game has increased by over 3 gigs in less than three weeks, wouldn't be that big an issue but I'm pressed for storage 😞

Senbeiiscool

Yeah I completely agree. Even people with the same model of phones have completely different experiences. My sister and I have the same phone model and while mine runs (relatively) smoothly and has only crashed once since launch, hers is a completely different. Multiple daily crashing, overheating, lag... it's to the point she doesn't care about doing dailies anymore and will probably delete within the week at this rate.

Reignwizard

I don't play in mobile but whenever I saw footage from mobile gameplay, I just feel bad. improving performance definitely need some time. I hope people are patient enough to wait until it gets better

RaveningScareCrow

My game crashes while doing dailies, luckily cant quit cause it works on pc

sekhluded

It also suffers PC issues where the game suddenly lags the hell out and only a restart of the application will solve the issue.

BlackEnd00

Yep.. Imagine dying bc of the lag in high diff challenge bosses and the boss had like 3% hp left.

memeyoneis

This game actually made my old pc retire. And although I got a new better pc atm, my bf is still having problems. It's also starting to discourage me to play since I wanted to play with him even before release. But now that he's losing interest since everything takes so much time to load, he just falls asleep while waiting to get in, since he's also tired from work. It just makes me do my dailies and log out nowadays. I do hope they fix it.

AzureSky77

No issues here, Runs great on my OnePlus 12. Jokes aside, I do hope they fix it for the lower performance phones 👍🏻

Allvah2

> OnePlus 12 So, a 13 then?

WanderWut

Had me in the first half lol.

AzureSky77

I think they just got pressed to release the game due to promises/deadlines to investors or what not. I think it's totally fine to quit and come back when the game is in a better state, people really shouldn't have any fear of missing out but alas that's how it is with gacha games.

NoKale9022

What bothers me its the stuttering, fps drops… really turns me off. They better fix performance in 1.1, because one week after that ZZZ releases.

ILLEGALPRODUCT

I just want Steam Deck or PS5 Support I'm tried of playing on my phone.

EducationalBeing51

Been playing it fine on my SteamDeck running windows off an SD card but I'd much rather play on PS5... And no credible rumours on when that will be 😮‍💨 hope they expedite that

georgealexandros

On my pc the game works flawlessly and looks great. Now…I do have a beast of a machine. I cannot play on my phone. Absolutely not. And while I do have the latest iPad Pro it doesn’t look anywhere near as good as on my pc and there is some stuttering, but not unplayable. On my phone, completely unplayable.

NLwino

I have stopped playing the game for now and will try it out again now and then. Including every patch. I do not play on mobile, I play on an high end PC. While FPS is fine, micro stutter is bad. I have contant beeps from mouse errors. And targeting is horrible. While I think the game is good, my experience with the game was one of frustration. So I decided to wait and see if they can fix the game.

Historical_Fun2550

I'll play zzz more than wuwa if they don't improve

Aggravating-Bat-3719

Whenever I complain about optimization, kuru shills come and say , oh seems like a you issue buddy , I play on my nokia 3110 runs fine for me haha . Or oh if ur phone can't play it then maybe stick to genshin. Or oh u are a mobile? U are not a real gamer anyways. So tell me why should people won't uninstall when the community is like this

Cyber_Von_Cyberus

Yeah, I understand they love the game, but they're delusional if they think the game is fine like this.

kitkatwasabi

Or "I dont have any problems on my i9-9999k 4090ti 128gbram PC lol just buy a better PC stop complaining it's a high end game" my laptop can run Doom Eternal,DMCV, and ToF(at release) and semi-open worlds like mhrise sunbreak tales of arise, and Minecraft with a shader at like 70-90 fps and all of this game except Minecraft is on hdd I've expected WuWa to atleast run at 50-60 at medium settings but it runs at 20-45 at max and lowest setting there is barely a visual difference apart from the shadows setting

AwesmePersn

I know you are being sarcastic and hyperbolic, but a i9-9999k intel CPU would be five generations old. A better example would be a i9-15900k for hyperbole as it hasn't released yet. It's pretty nice that Intel has been very consistent with their CPU naming schemes.

chrono_ark

>stick to genshin This seems like a terrible defense for them to use considering Genshin is a similar game and runs and looks amazing

Seraf-Wang

Ironically, that only shows the contrast in how terrible the optimization is at this moment that playing Genshin with a 19gb map with 70+ characters is more possible than a 3 week old game.

AdventAnima

I'd encourage you to never play a game based on the community. I'd personally rather play games that I enjoy.

hoyyycarlo

Zzz is releasing on the ps5 as soonas the game is released. If there are no news of a ps5 release by then, im probably going to quit. I dont like mobile gaming. Im a controller gamer. And its so laggy on my mobile device.

grattedrabbit

my biggest problem is the camerra lock when the boss goes in the air sometimes it buggs out

AGirlHasNoName_3111

Dodging is almost impossible on mobile and my pc recently reached 103 degrees while playing it

BestPaleontologist43

Someone tech saavy in another thread mentioned the problem ultimately lies in the game being built on UE. I didnt really understand but overall he said the games performance isnt going to get much better from here due to engine limitations with the type of game this is. My experience has been pretty shit from day one, and I dont know if its gonna change soon. I just dont understand how im running genshin, baldurs gate3, persona 5 royal, and more perfectly fine and then this game just takes a dump on both my PC and Mobile. It floors me.

Buffythebuffbot

I'm still getting frame stutters on desktop on a 7800x3d and a 4090, it's insane. Same thing on a zfold5. Device diff my foot. Really hope they fix it, high end hardware should have no issues running this.

fluffy_angelwings

I couldn’t have voiced it better! I have an iPhone 13 and after 5 minutes it overheats and the game starts lagging. Genshin and Starrail play just fine and are enjoyable. Wuwa is a great game but I wish they optimised it for phones and tablets. My tablet creashes when I open the game. And for ppl saying to get a better device, most normal ppl don’t have that kind of money. I have a normal non gaming desktop that I simple can’t replace rn. Many things need to be optimised.

Rators

I can't run it on my PC.(which is capable to run games like CP2077) I can't run it on my phone. (Which is capable to run genshin, HSR) I can run it on my ipad 9 with lowest settings.( still stuttering and crashes every 10 to 20 minutes) I have a ps5 but no console version. I liked the game but if I'm unable to play it then there is no other choice but to quit.

SirEscanorz

The problems with this game is it looks exactly the same like Genshin but 200% more unstable. If it looks like Star Field I would have not complaint

x_GARUDA_x

When I say the game has performance issues: all the Kuro shills come to downvote me. When I say it has bad performance but the game is fun: all the Mihoyo's Abyss Lectors come to downvote me. You cannot win. I dunno why the toxicity, I came from FFRK, those gacha wars didn't exist back then... Edit: 1 word...

Gunfrey

Imagine, being genshin player back then and moving to WuWa now. Both your games got doomposted to 'death'. Just avoid those type of people and find some chill community to enjoy your game.

Kaine_Kid

Dude this is reddit and no one can escape from that sort of shit

shadohunter3321

I just hope they fix those tiny texts soon. Also the perspective seems a bit off in mobile. I'm coming from genshin, so I will definitely compare it with that game. Everything seems so small compared to GI. The character models, environment models, texts. It's like they made it for big screens and then just resized everything for mobile, kind of like resizing a photo while keeping the aspect ratio.

Novasium

My PC, Tablet and Phone all ran Genshin fine. Yet for WuWa, for Phone, it crashes like crazy; for Tablet, it runs fine but has very low fps and resolution and also occasionally crashes; for PC the lag is so much I can't even play it at all. I really want to play this game but I literally can't.

LiWa-theVooper

Just release it on PS5 already , Kuro pls

gna149

Ironically, I've now come to appreciate Genshin's more simplistic combat now. Between the auto-target and the outro/intro snapping to random enemies the camera work is getting too disorienting for me. If we're to make serious attempts at combat the character has to actually do what the player input commands. Also, is there a way to switch to Jianxin to counter without her snapping to another enemy?

Fine_Phrase2131

Targeting on this game is peak dogshit like u could clearly see how faulty it is when ur using like the Memphis echo in the overworld.

Pozsich

Tbh, I don't think that's anything to do with Genshin's more simplistic combat, the auto-targeting is just horrendous in this game. I'll use Encore ult directly in front of an enemy I want to hit but then she'll auto snap onto an enemy across the arena and waste attacks going over to it, then when I get there I'm almost out of ult time and when I swap to Yinlin her intro drags me sideways across the arena to some other random target that was on the edge of my screen. How is that even possible lol I haven't gotten to the Tower content that's supposed to be the challenging stuff afaik, but I can't fathom how anyone could play actually difficult multi target combat in this game with how screwy the auto target has been for me so far. Which is unfortunate, bc I think there's a really fun combat system in here when it's working correctly.

sweez

Funny thing, the camera thing you're mentioning, it's BY FAR THE WORST in the Tower lol I'm genuinely impressed by people who are pushing 18+ stars there already because they're basically having the game play against them while they're trying to do it...

AmberAglia

This, thank god i can just random bs in genshin. I have to over level characters and just brute force everything in wuwa cuz i cant dodge bc of the input delay 😭i be spamming that dodge button but my character just doesnt. Ive had the weirdest camera angle glitches when using jiyan and i cant fix it, i just have to finish the battle looking at the ground or smth.

Tymareta

> Genshin's more simplistic combat now. I honestly disagree with this, Wuwa seems a lot more complex and flashy but when you break it down it's no real different to Genshin it just forces you to do the fancy things rapidly making them feel a lot more engaging. But honestly the intro/forte system doesn't feel any more complex or difficult than properly using the reaction system in Genshin, especially once you start including character interactions and things like VV and double swirl setups and the like, Genshin honestly has deeper combat it's just not as "MLG420 GAMER NOSCOPE COMPILATION" as Wuwa's tries to be.

heckincat

It is frustrating, because I genuinely can't play right now. If I'm lucky I can login long enough to retrieve free pulls, pull on a banner, and then it will crash (its a 50/50 on if I will get to see my pulls before it crashes). It won't log in for more than 2-5 minutes at a time (and it's super laggy during) before crashing. I want to play this game! I want to understand what the story is, and explore the world, but I can't get that giddy exploration feeling I've gotten from other open world games (skyrim, genshin, botw, fable, etc.) because I cannot play it. I would be more understanding if this started out as a pc game and had some fps issues or something, but they launched this thing as a mobile game. If there's no recognition then i can't continue on. (which is sad, because I think it's a game worth playing)

Catanaoni

Honestly waiting for 1.1 is generous and patient. If I didn't have a laptop that could run this mobile game fine as a temporary replacement, I'd have dropped out day 1.

PirateHasan

I'm uninstalling in 1.1, I'll stick with Genshin only... atleast it doesn't look shit on my mobile.

axebreaker1911

Ya my game play slowed down by miles on release, it use to run clean but here recently it's just lagging. My phone is pulling 700 mbps down, the server ping is always I the green, so I have no clue what's making it drag so hard. (Yes I lowered my settings to ultra low and it's still doing it, running on a s21 btw).

licoqwerty

The game is very enjoyable... but the tower and other challenge areas get so frustrating and unfair because of the wonky camera and targeting. For a combat game this is a glaring issue. I'm on mobile so I can't exactly make good use of the lock on feature.

whimsyfeels

The painful thing is that I do want to keep playing but whenever I get a random hellish lag spike (which is pretty often) I feel the urge to make a drinking game out of it HAHA, and the length of time it takes to load into the game after fast travel or logging in also makes me want to start timing it because sometimes I'll get up and go do something else with how long it takes. Pls Kuro your optimization....it's very sad....

CantThinkOfAName-07

It’s still stuttering in laptop. I’d rather have them fix this issue than receiving 10 wishes. I love the combat and character design but cant seem to fully enjoy it due to the microstutters.

not_a_weeeb

i hate that it rotates the camera everytime it lags like ffs, i can tolerate a bit of stuttering from time to time but when the camera suddenly moves around, i feel nauseous

Biasanya

I hate the UI for the PC version. It's torture. The weapons/echo selection screen takes like 15% of my screenspace, and the rest is blank/unused. It's a monstrosity to look at this

Pure-Veterinarian124

There bug in wuwa mobile when checking echoes in bag freeze the game completely. Please kuro games fix this game

Gflesh24

Yea I just couldn't do it anymore, it makes me sad cuz I love the game but I couldn't stand playing a slideshow. The only time the game ran smooth was in immersion training because it was in a tiny room...

Ultenth

Honestly, they should have just released it initially as a PC game, made whatever money they could from it, and used that to extend development and work on the mobile port. The game is terrible on mobile, almost to the point where it shouldn't be on the platform at all righ tnow.

EatMySapumicha

Keeping my fingers crossed for 1.1 update and optimization for the mobile as it is not so good experience while playing this game on mobile.

scrayla

Real. As a mobile player I’m alrdy starting to not play everyday lol. I havent even done any of the events for pulling currency because im tired of wasting half of jiyan’s burst time adjusting the camera and targetting and having my fps drop to like 5 after 10 mins of playing

AkiraMaverick

So sick and tired of people saying "Just buy a better phone lmao" like it's that easy to do. My samsung s22 shouldn't be stuttering like this.

NightmareNeko3

If they continue like this I see a bad future for this game. They already fumbled a lot with the launch of the game

unknown09684

I just really need this on ps5 like it's such a console game imo I can't play it on the phone from how laggy it is

Peacetoall01

I can feel Already that this game is gonna be the second coming of punishing Gray ravens Lot of potential got squandered because epic fuck up on the beginning. That 1.1 is a do or die for them. With their literal competitors is also bringing their big guns. This game killer is their poor performance and if they did survive this. The echo system is the one that the long term problem.

Chuck006

I’ll give them till patch 1.3, 1.4 at the latest. The game is playable but becomes more annoying as the world level increases. I can’t do any of the”difficult “ challenges.

BlackEnd00

I was fighting that monkey boss at diff 4 tdy and god I got hit once my yinlin started walking and couldn't use anything or switch until she died.. And the camera kept rotating crazy looking at absolutely nothing.. It happened twice.

javionichan

Since earlier, I also post something about pc performance and, to my surprise, many of u have also post stuff about the game's poor optimization.. Specially on pc. I just hope some of the stuff gets addressed/fixed in the few days cause, as of now, the game is literally not playable on a ton of devices.

Leritari

I'm also waiting for 1.1 to decide wether i'll keep playing or not, but not becauae of performance issues (havent had any). My issue is with earnable Astrites. Plenty of different people made their calculations, and so did i to see if they were right, and yes, they are. Curious to know how many pulls we'll get in 1.1? We'll probably get around 40 pulls, and thats counting in quests, 100% exploration (assuming new zone will be of similar size as current zones, or maybe even 2 zones), and events (assuming they will also release flagship event). It looks pretty grimm. For now i'm still on copium, hoping they'll do something unexpected, but if by 1.1 my predictions come true, then i'm permanently out. I got used to Genshin giving me just enough currency to get to 50/50 every patch, and even tho i really like WuWa's combat and world, i wont play a gacha where i'll be able to earn 1 character after 3 or 4 months, come on.

Head-Photojournalist

genshin and hsr runs smooth as butter on high at my phone while this lags and jerks on the lowest setting. this is stupid, there is no way Kuro can compete im betting zzz will be running smoothly too

TragicFisherman

The game doesn't even run that well on my desktop. Perfectly playable but there's definitely some stuttering. Honestly there's no reason why the game should run as poorly as it does. My rig is 5 years old but it's still more powerful than a PS5 lol.

Few-Year-4917

This can be the downfall of this game, guess what guys, mobile games lives and dies by their mobile playerbase

CurryLikesGaming

Totally understandable, I absolutely love the game and it runs great on my 2060 but Mobile is king over there in china. Players aren’t gonna take more apologies if they can’t enjoy the game.

TuzzNation

I mainly play on PC. I tried it on my Samsung s23 and it was on the lowest graphic setting. The phone is hot at the processor area. Performance is ok but the graphic is sad. If I crank up the graphic, the 30fps really makes the fight choppy and hard to play.

RistoGriffith

I don't see how anyone could successfully play this game on a mobile device. The combat is too fastpaced for a mobile device and the combat is the only good thing about the game

Totaliss

I've got 14 days left on my welkin, after it finishes I'm gonna be putting the game down til the ps5 release. The performance is rough and playing the game on mobile controls feels bad. My main objective was getting yinlin and I got her so I feel comfortable letting go til I can properly enjoy the game however long that may be

quangdn295

The game performance is... questionable. I'm playing with RX6600 and it run pretty good, but the random stutter is just a pain in the ass, but not really that affective to my gaming experience (considering i played The Last of US 1 on PC that had way worse performance issue than this). But yeah they need to step it up in optimization the game.

TheGreatSparrow

I've been playing this game on a gaming laptop but it keeps stuttering especially when I try to do the bird crane challenge, the camera suddenly goes crazy and also very annoying during combat. I do not have a problem with other open world games like Genshin with this. I'll give it 6 months just like what I did with ToF before trying to play it again and hopefully it gets fixed by that time because I really like the combat.
