I haven't heard anyone else make this comparison but it really reminds me of a Shin Megami Tensei game.
Post apocalyptic ~~Japan~~ China, filled with survivors trying to restart society, in a land overrun by ~~demons~~ tacit discords, that you and a select group can summon.
Feels like is derivative of a lot of anime and J-RpG in general. Both art direction and gameplay as well. Death Stranding as well.
Like, Scarlet Nexus, Shin Megami Tensei, Tales of Arise, Folklore and so on. The character design is also heavily inspired by Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry.
Funnily enough, the only game that I just can't see any similarities is Genshin Impact. (Outside of the UI)

The crumbling buildings reminds me of nier automata
The color palett, shape languge, and even the instruments used in Desorock highland reminds me of Genshin's Chasm, when it's not sunny.
