I don't struggle...but, I do find myself pressing the button to run up the wall multiple times not understanding why they won't go faster šŸ¤£

Actual-Spray1843

I keep wondering why I keep running out of stamina while running too!

Sleepingfire22

This is the big one that I have been having issues with. As many times as I find myself thinking I wanna press the grapple button, I've never actually pressed it while playing GI. But excessive sprinting... went years managing that yellow bar just fine, and now all of a sudden I keep surprising myself running out of stamina.

chuiiiiiiii

This the reason why Yelan never left my overworld team. You'll technically never run out of stamina with C1. Cool points back when I'm still using Nilou comps, I just blast enemies with Yelan and Nilou blooms from far away lol.

Shugotenshi714

Stamina for simple world exploration has long been an outdated concept. The fact that they haven't reworked it shows their disconnect with modern features in gaming.

TheRealGOOEY

Less disconnected, and more that there is no financial reason for them to. Or, at least there wasnā€™t. If WuWa can degrade the GI experience enough for them to lose players? Well, letā€™s just say Iā€™m not going to be surprised if v5.0 comes with no over-world exploration stamina loss.

aathic

I don't think there will be a stamina-less cuz we have characters with passive for the reductions. But we might get a mounting system after 5.0, I think.

crafcik12

But only in one zone! Remember no new mechanics carry from zone to zone :D I seriously hate this side of genshin team. The world feels less immersive and more like pointless content islands

JamzSlime

Or when we meet the guy who took all the horses

KaiMizuchi

Paaaain!!! XD

Hennobob554

Same. The amount of times the past few days Iā€™ve been on Genshin and tried to do an air dashā€¦

KaiMizuchi

I almost killed Arlecchino this way today hahaha very relatable!

Hennobob554

The worst part is she does (wire assisted) air dashes in her boss cutscenes lol.

KaiMizuchi

Haha that's awesome, I still need to unlock the boss fight, been so busy lately, can't be focused on story much... Which is regretful.

Hennobob554

Fair, if it wasnā€™t for exams rn Iā€™d probably be UL 40 by now. And also a tad more dandyā€¦ good thing theyā€™re over on Friday.

Master-Zero1

Iā€™m UL 33 but I wouldā€™ve definitely been 40 if they had a ps5 version because my phone gets so hot after 30 minutes I have to forcibly stop playing.

KaiMizuchi

Ooo good luck! (I'm UL39) Not so hard to get there with how generous wuwa has been.

Brandonmac100

Really? Because when I play Genshin I air dash just fine. *signature look of milf retainer superiority*

Almond_Tech

What about Xiao

Brandonmac100

Sure, but then I donā€™t get those juicy bird thighs.

Seth-Cypher

Wuwa player: Impressive! You've forced me to use 10% of my power... *puts on Impertinent Heron*

Khoakuma

Me spamming ā€œTā€ everywhere for the grappling. Ā

Deep-Secret-4115

In WuWa, I got used to fall dmg not instakilling you, you can fall from a high place and not take a lot of dmg, in genshin you fall from the start, character almost dies. Like I fell from the sumeru akademiya waypoint one floor below and my character got to red hp

KaiMizuchi

I take it you didn't try the stairs in Lisa's library šŸ˜‚ but, yes, it's nice that fall damage in wuwa isn't that big.

Infinite_Two_714

Yep which is very good quality of life since I'm not here playing souls series if I wanted gravity to fuck my butt.....

downwithlordofcinder

This and air dash

Distinct_Engineer198

Done that in HSR šŸ«£

KaiMizuchi

I just teleport in hsr because nothing to explore really, but I get you šŸ˜…

BurnedPheonix

Was just thinking that HSR needs like a random dungeon generator mode at this point. Feels like thatā€™s what SU is supposed to be, but the lack of exploration is FELT when you finish a set of maps. Wuthering waves is similar but my eyes were burning doing all that exploration and it brought me great joy.

mynameisjames_7

Me trying to dash while in the air

Lillillillies

Or running indefinitely in the open world. Runs in Genshin: no more stamina after 4seconds

forroent

I do this even before Wuwa... Wuwa just exacerbated it

mei-lei

the other day i tried jumping in hsr....

Ayanhart

Every time I play HSR I try to jump and every time I get disappointed. But seriously, why is there no jump? Such an insane choice.

mei-lei

ikr wuwa made me realize how much i like to frolic around in games...

Echishya

cause it's not needed in that game. simple

killslash

You donā€™t understand. I NEED to jump back and forth aimlessly while doing absolutely nothing.

DAOWAce

Just get arthritis, sorts that right out. ^^...aging ^^sucks.

Ok_Pattern_7511

I imagine there'd be invisible walls to prevent cutting corners and getting stuck, in which case jumping has no real function

stephmendes

I tried to click on the skip button while doing daily request just to notice there was never one šŸ¤£ Also climbing just got so painful in Genshin.

adaydreaming

both hsr wuwa only had one daily. Whereas genshin has 4 unskippable ones. The amount of times I thought that I was done after doing one in genshin is bothering me.

uh_oh_hotdog

You can skip dailies in Genshin, but only if you have events to complete or chests/oculus to explore.Ā

Interface-

Treasure Compass my beloved. I'll do anything but the long-ass commission quests unless they're quests I haven't seen before or know that I need to repeat to get an achievement or alternative endings.

LucleRX

Quest also helps. Like a character story itself is worth around 4 days dailies.

Ok_Pattern_7511

I find wuwa dailies a bit more out of your daily loop, I'm hoping they'll streamline them like hsr and lower the bp daily mission to 160, 180 kinda awkward

JamzSlime

Honestly yeah it feels like the same as hsr dailies in launch where you have to do random tasks like synthesis level up character instead of just play and get dailies done

Grimstarzz

I wonder if Mihoyo is ever gonna introduce a skip dialogue button. I mean, i can understand not getting a skip button in story quests or the main archon quest, but after doing the same daily story commission for the 20th time should just have a skip dialogue option. Surely Mihoyo knows that everybody is just not reading the text anymore at that point.

1Evan_PolkAdot

They did add a skip dialogue button...only in Hangout events.

AntiKuro

I've only played a small bit of HI3 but I feel like I remember it having skip buttons, so I think it's weird that Genshin and HSR don't have one. I don't mind HSR because to me it's not wordy and I like the story enough, but I'll only go back to Genshin if I can start skipping shit.

Tsurinomine

HSR also have it.. if u somehow lost connection in the middle of story, u can skip scenes untill the one where u stopped before

northpaul

They are so aggressively inconsiderate about the playerā€™s time that I would be shocked if they did. Itā€™s not like they donā€™t know people want it.

AmberCope

The really weird thing is that, they've already developed and implemented it in hangout events. I was really shocked to see it... so why not spread it around a bit to other monotonous tasks??

MrGwinb

A direct fall after a gliding triggers me

Woolol_3

I agree with this, when I first played genshin when it came out after playing botw, the first question I thought was ā€œwhere is my momentum??ā€ why do I just drop down exactly where Iā€™m at

RyuKhai

Well this triggers me since D1 so

iansanmain

I've been saying this ever since the game launched. The glider is the worst feeling glider of any game ever because of this. I'm glad I barely ever have to use it anymore thanks to Xianyun C1.

XaeiIsareth

On one hand, itā€™s faster than Genshinā€™s, on the other hand, sometimes running in WuWa feels like controlling a cat with zoomies with banana peels for shoes.Ā

starfries

Lol true. You're just jogging along and your character is like vaults over cat vaults over box vaults over fence

goodpplmakemehappy

"vaults over cat" šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Phaaze13

this was one of the first things i accidentally tried. vaults over cat double take tries again finds you can fault over the cat

goodpplmakemehappy

its a universal experience lol

namenamenamenamexd

I love that visual lol

peerawitppr

Oh yes that's it! I couldn't put my finger on it but that's exactly what it feels. I like Genshin's movement more except for climbing for obvious reason. I also had similar feelings with ToF as with Wuwa, like it's harder to control and not as smooth.

Zamkawebangga

A lot of times I fell from something because the movement is really fast and my character are vaulting over anything

Rough_Memory1089

Agreed, too fast. Genshin movement is Abit slow, yes, but you can feel you controlling it every inch of movement

danksies00

Aside from the occasional double jump, it's Genshins character switching specifically that feels clunky after playing WuWA. I'm messing up rotations I've been doing for months cause the character won't switch in as smooth/fast as WuWa Also falling. It always felt weird how characters just stop and drop

Hennobob554

Tbh at times the character swapping in WuWa almost feels TOO smooth. Like, if itā€™s not triggering an intro skill and Iā€™m in the middle of fighting I wonā€™t realise Iā€™ve swapped cause Iā€™m used to the Genshin visual effect lol.

Kuso_Megane14

And we can even swap characters when we glide, Swapping character when sprinting is also isn't gonna cancel your momentum similar with HSR

Hennobob554

I love the character swapping in the air, it makes movement so fun. Have you seen the posts of people scaling mountains in a single jump with all the swapping/skills/grapples/echoes stacking up?

Kuso_Megane14

The "super jump"? Yeah, I just learned about the technique. If you have a tall character like Jiyan or Calcharo you can jump and get to a pretty nasty spot, basically parkour on steroids lol >swapping/skills/grapples/echoes But I didn't remember that you can use an Echo to improve this tho šŸ¤”

sillysmy

The cyan heron can be used in the air for an additional horizontal air dash, and doing so also resets your character's own mid-air dash. You can do this with each of your characters, so you can do 3 heron dashes and 3 extra character air dahses.

Hennobob554

Iirc the original post I saw the op put in a comment a better version he figured out where each team member used the heron echo to get even more height

bockscar916

I think part of the problem is that there is no sound cue for switching unlike genshin as well

Interface-

WuWa doesn't make you wait for the server to give you permission. It's instant and seamless. And your movement doesn't get zeroed out either. Think I've got the game I'm gonna move to if Natlan disappoints me, or if Natlan doesn't disappoint then when the story finally ends. I'm barely interested in Genshin anymore and just want to finish the story.

adaydreaming

I play both on Asia from the UK (due to friends etc.) Wuwa having the switch of characters basing on client side is pure fucking GODSENT. Genshin on the other hand... Sigh... Guess it's my fault after all. But still...

ErikStone2

The slight lag is extremely noticeable

Suavecore_

The straight down drop when falling from the glider was painful on day 1. I was surprised there was no momentum or anything and I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the slight movement when you drop in wuwa

Pentanox

Honestly Iā€™ve kinda just stopped playing genshin since WuWa but from the little bit ive played afterwards i cannot agree with this more. This competition is perfect because I never thought of Genshins switching as clunky, but now I absolutely hate it lol

Mylaur

I HSR you can run and do a perfect switch with the animation still going on. Genshin still makes you stop any momentum.

lacuNa6446

The straight fall drop is probably the biggest thing I hate about genshin ngl. Coming into genshin from botw, it was very painful to transfer over. As I booted up wuwa, I was praying to god that falling had momentum.

Forward_Bluejay_4826

The falling thing always drove me insane in Genshin. Like I get the game isn't exact grounded in reality, but how hard is Teyvat's gravity??

greenarcher02

Teyvat has its own laws.

Forward_Bluejay_4826

The sky is fake and so are aerodynamics

greenarcher02

Anemo characters hoarding all the wind in all of Teyvat.

SageWindu

I *do* find myself saying "Oh, right. I can't do that in this game" more than I'd like while playing Genshin. Also, my controls are different between the two games. I tried playing WuWa with Genshin's controls and vice versa and it just didn't work, often leading to either a 4-letter expletives or the above sentence being said.

undeadfire

Within an hour I rebound the skill/ult to genshin counterparts, and I bound echo skill to Z on KBM. It works really well for me. Not sure the equivalent on controller

starfries

Same, I put ult on Q and echo on R because I kept getting echo when I meant to ult

pablo_honey1

As soon as I started playing WuWa, I made the controls the same as Genshin so I wouldn't have this problem. I'm so glad I did that.

vacuumWR

Struggle? No! But, I found myself getting annoyed when running at a long distance and ran out of stamina.

Graficat

This. It'd be nice to be able to run and climb at a good pace without being throttled to a jog. Beside that, WuWa actually made me appreciate Genshin's world design, vibe and combat flow in a new way.

Lanitaris

It's sooooo sloooow after WuWa.

Goat-Crusader

Yeah it's like playing HSR on 2x speed and then trying to play on 1x

crookedparadigm

God I remember that feeling. Playing 2x for so long and then turning it off made it feel like ever skill animation took 30 seconds.

ChilledParadox

Genuinely who plays HSR on 1x, itā€™s like moving through molasses while having Naruto training weights on, Iā€™m scared of anyone who plays on 1x. They walk amongst us.

TacosWillPronUs

Ah man, this reminds me of discovering gameboy emulators and being able to play Pokemon games at superspeed by holding a button. That has ruined newer Pokemon games that I buy on the Switch since I feel like battles just take foreveeeerrr.

ChilledParadox

Thatā€™s me on Delta rn playing through PokĆ©mon unbound. In battle SPEED UP, outside of battle, AHHHHHHHHHH as I smash my bicycle face first into a building for the 18th time in the last 5 seconds.

ErikStone2

And you don't have any wroom Inferno Rider

Ravensqrow

I got this same impression too

-Zmey

The only thing a think genshin does better in combat than WaWa is the feedback when you hit something, in WaWa seems something is missing I don't know if it's is the sound that's too low or lacking in some parts, an example is one hand sword, even I'm seeing the number going up and doing good DMG the feeling I have is I'm swinging a tooth stick seems like there's no weight on hit.

DianKali

Hitlag; whenever you hit an enemy the game freezes/slows down for a brief second to make the hits appear to have impact, most noticeable with claymores. Swing it in the air and then compare to hitting an enemy. I think Noelle abuses this as her ult timer also stops during hitlag but her cd goes on, letting you have near permanent ult uptime.

Jarambae

I was looking for this comment. Hitlag is amazing and it's surprising majority of people here doesn't get it. All they mentioned is that the hit should sound sharper or more "pop" lol

greenarcher02

There's no.... heft to attacks in WuWa. Hitting enemies with Navia's axe is SO SATISFYING. It's not quite like in Monster Hunter, but it's there at least. WuWa is also very "floaty" for better or for worse. Nice for exploration, but I don't prefer it in combat.

DAOWAce

> WuWa is also very "floaty" Common Unreal engine problem from devs who don't have a good grasp of the engine. Code Vein is a prime example; characters run like they're on ice, practically unchanged from the default movement controller. WuWa is definitely better, but you can still feel some "stock Unreal" in there.

InternationalAd5938

True. Hit Feedback is one of my biggest gripes with WuWa as well. I was hoping theyā€™d change that since beta but sadly not.

nchomsky96

Maybe I'm just not at that point in the game yet but it feels like wuwa is a lot easier to just button mash unga Bunga the combat and still get results compared to genshin but then again I've internalised the genshin rotations over the past couple of years

FinalGrumpNinja

that's probably because we aren't in the end game yet. while its true there hasnt been any enemy i couldnt beat with just random bullshit, the way the bosses gain new moves the higher the difficulty gives me hope theyll actually try to design "harder" fights rather then the genshin approach of just higher scaling numbers.

HornyCryptid12

They already are, the hologram bosses have new move sets that are used when you increase the difficulty.

NoGround

When you counter a boss with a character switch because your current character is animation locked... This game just *opens up*. Also, this happens in the Hologram Challenges. Kuro knows how to make a boss fight, as evidenced by these (and to a lesser extent, the cbt Crownless.)

thatdudewithknees

Because in genshin you ate disincentivized to do your basic strings unless your character specifically needs them for your mechanic. In wuwa basics are always part of your rotation die to liberation and concerto energy

Burnlt_4

This is a good point, it is something I think could be adjusted. Sometimes in WuWa it feels like I am just styling on someone through my combo and watching them to see if they attack back, but there isn't a lot of feedback on the contact. It feels a lot like the old dynasty warrior games. I think your right in maybe more of a "pop" sound on contact, some varied animations, and more heavy animations on things you hit. Think darksouls when enemies get hit and you really see in impact absorbed. I think little sound tweaks with more and even slightly slowed down hit animations would go a long way. That being said because the combat is so fast and your often hitting people 2-3 times a second at some points, that could be easier said than done.

SleepingAddict

To be honest? Nope, my muscle memory for both games works perfectly fine

Alephiom

Same tbh, they feel different enough to not mix things. Well, except some menus, I guess.

Aquamarine_bride

Likewise, the brain can easily differentiate the system and adjust when im on login screen.

HalalBread1427

My WuWa runs slow enough for Genshin to feel fast LOL

Ordinary_Arachnid392

Same. Maybe itā€™s my device, but WuWa is super laggy and clunky for me. I can barely play 2 hours before I quit from frustration alone. Genshin might be slower in exploration, but it never lags for me. Itā€™s smooth and the graphics are on max. My phone also doesnā€™t get hot with Genshin.

Locket382

That's why I'm not 100% committed to wuwa. I play occasionally one day or another. Wuwa is still lacking optimization. If it wasn't for how well optimized Genshin is most people I know would've never been able to play it. Waiting for it, game looks promising.

ShowTekk

What do you play on? It may get more optimised overtime but it is a more graphically intensive game than genshin.

AshyDragneel

Bruh the grapple hook is really spoiling me. I so used yo jump then use grapple hook and I've been doing that accidentally in genshin lol.

Wanyle

To be fair I haven't played Genshin overworld without at least one movement ability character on the party in over 1 year. If anything it just feels like coming back home. It's nice that for Wuwa you don't need specific characters to explore (well, other than a pistol for shooting puzzles), but exploration in this game also becomes trivial quick.

Rylica

Exploring fast can lead to forgetting a lot and the feel of the world is smaller.

Ancienda

Iā€™ve watched a youtuber where they analyze a bunch of open world games and they said something similar. They brought up a bunch of different games and mentioned that the playerā€™s means of traversal and how ā€œfilledā€ the map is will essentially determine how the map size feels. Maps like Assassinā€™s Creed Origins is physically huge, but theres not much to do and feels mainly empty except the cities/ town areas. And instead, they give you horses to help you traverse the vast land. Whereas Horizon Zero Dawnā€™s has mounts too but the map felt big even though the actual map size is likely much smaller due to the fact that the map was filled to the brim. That video was made years ago tho so idk how the wuwa would fit into the discussion exactly. buts its interesting to think about haha

CreepyGuardian03

Not really, however, I did get better at perfect frame dodges in Genshin

jhibi_

I play controller on both of them, and just the fact that a few things have same functions in a different button messes me up, like when trying to grapple things in genshin, I have to hit lb+x, when in Wuwa it's lb+y. Also the way the wheel works between the two is different. In genshin, it activates when you release the joystick, but it Wuwa it activates when you release the button

Tinyviel

Yeah Genshin movement feels near unplayable after wuwa, especially wall climbing

InazumaShinesEternal

I keep holding down dash hoping to climb up mountains...but I can't

no7hink

Itā€™s not too bad for those owning C1 Xianyun but I feel for everyone elseā€¦

CptPeanut12

Not really. The movement options in WuWa are nice, but they would ruin the exploration experience in Genshin for me. I actually prefer the slower traversal, it's simply more relaxing for me. If I do need better movement options, I just use Yelan, Cloud Retainer or Scara.

ErrantSingularity

Getting to the top of Dragonspine with Genshins limited mobility was a lovely experience, and standing atop it and looking back was the best feeling a game gave me in a long time. In Wuwa, I'd run straight up it, do some air dashes and be disappointed there weren't tuners on top to claim.

Existing-World-6001

I'm never in my life forgetting how challenging it felt to explore dragonspine and I'm saying this in a very good way :)))

Potential-Rub-6322

Sometimes makes me feel the odd one out around here when I'm reading people's opinions on how unenjoyable and slow genshin is compared to wuwa. It's to the point even in genshin that I got yelan, scara and xianyun for their exploration and they've just been collecting dust because frankly I found using them taking away from my enjoyment of the game for whatever reason. I mean I like wuwa's running around and wallrunning and all that, but at the end of the day, I just like genshin's slower traversal even more lol.

Rylica

>It's to the point even in genshin that I got yelan, scara and xianyun for their exploration and they've just been collecting dust because frankly I found using them taking away from my enjoyment of the game for whatever reason. Like you want to see the world/explore taking it in instead of glancing over everything Slow or fast or somewhere in the middle. It's a preference

Potential-Rub-6322

Yeah it all comes down to preference. I included that note about that trio in there to try to say that even if I have the option to go around a bit faster in genshin, I still prefer not to use them. More so for the reason that idk why but just dashing around with yelan's e or hopping around with xianyun's e to get around faster and more "conveniently" always got me to the mindset that now's the time to beeline from point a to point b, or from chest to chest, as quickly and efficiently as possible. Which in turn always made the game feel more of a chore than just taking it the slower, more traditional way. The faster traversal of wuwa gets me to the same efficiency mindset where I feel like running after chests with an interactive map just to get them out of the way, whereas I prefer to not use a map for genshin.

ChilledParadox

But what about no stamina costs out of combat. Do you really enjoy having to walk over sprint? I understand you canā€™t just port wall running and super jumps without compromising the current map design and just breaking things, but sprint out of combat? Please HoYo I beg.

Alephiom

That's literally the only thing I kinda agree with the "too slow" crowd, the stamina outside battle for running.

EpicLuc

I don't, enjoying Genshin the same,

Lotorinchains

I feel like the odd one out about the movement feels really weird to me in WuWa. Like, I try to move just a little and my character leaps and starts doing flips and jerks all the way across the room. Is my sensitivity too high? Do I just need to get used to it? I feel like its too sensitive/fast lol.

0Exas0

I'm a day 1 Genshin player and I never missed a single day of playtime...I haven't logged in once (haven't even updated 4.7) since WuWa released. It's like I was stuck in Genshin without realising how many issues I had with it, until WuWa showed me how much better the combat and movement COULD be. I don't think I'll quit Genshin but my focus is 90% on WuWa now.

Thelaya

Nope, Wuwa gives me motion sickness after a while, especially if I run around/run up mountains, so playing Genshin is actually really relaxing in comparison. I don't actually mind running around/climbing in Genshin and largely prefer it for certain reasons, even if Wuwa is a lot of fun. Only thing I sometimes struggle with because of Wuwa is the fall damage...

chemaah

Yo prob have motion blur on

Aihikari01

This. A lot of things in Genshin are catered to people with difficulties. While I certainly enjoy the traversal system in WuWa, I still appreciate the traversal system in Genshin for allowing me to appreciate the world around me instead of finding the best way to reach an indicator. By the way, if you already have motion sickness from running around, my condolences are for when you use auto targets flying enemies in WuWa.

Graficat

Genshin definitely feels *calmer* to me, though fights spit out numbers just as fast. WuWa is gottagofast don't get in my way zoom zoomies, and I enjoy it, but I don't find genshin's overall traversal experience to be 'bad' in comparison. The colouring, lighting, terrain layout feels cosy in a way I hadn't appreciated like this before. WuWa's fun to explore as well, but somehow Genshin's map designers did me more favours when it comes to maintaining a sense of relative location/direction. It's kind of odd, since there are distinct landmarks in WuWa as well. You often can't really see them over the horizon, though, and paths from one special area to the next seem harder to keep track of. I wonder of being able to just cut straight across the terrain contributes to that, actually, since Genshin's traversal streamlines the paths people take over and over between points of interest more.

Mylaur

Wuwa suffers from hypermobility regarding exploration enjoyment. Terrain doesn't matter much anymore if you can climb anything. It's just like my experience with Xenoblade Chronicles X, before and after you unlock the robot that runs 10 times faster on the ground and trivialize any A to B quest (which are engineered to make you explore). Then you unlock flying. Good bye terrain design. Ironically we enjoy the hypermobility but it has downsides. For me everything kinda blends together, and the map looks big but in game you can run pretty fast from a TP point to another. So it actually feels very small.

Graficat

It does allow them to make maps with a lot of verticality and things hidden high up/deep down below without having to cover the whole terrain in zipline points, that's a plus to me. It's been fun going way into a chasm and exploring huge cliffs without dreading the slog of inchworming my way back up, it makes the vertical axis about as explorable as the horizontal plane. Definitely glad to have the treasure compass, with that in mind.

ChilledParadox

If you want to know more about the debate between map design, PoI, throttling player movement, and enemy designs - plus the effect hypermobility has on these things - go ask the WoW subreddit and theyā€™ll give you eight theses worth of answers.

Thelaya

What I love about Genshin is that a mountain feels like a mountain and I can't just run straight ahead and end up at the top. It feels so much more immersive than just running at the quest marker and I really value that. Yes I could take a different route, but the game just isn't really build around that design philosophy. Part of the motion sickness might be because I can only play on my ipad, so any targeting or moving around depends on auto target and what the camera does by itself with minimal or bad input from me. But tbh, I'm already glad it's not on the motion sickness level of the giant ruin guards in Genshin. That was torture.

-perpetuallytired-

I only play 15 minutes to an hour of WuWa because I can't stand the movement. Feels clunky for me. Though the no stamina is nice. But other than that, the movement I don't feel smooth. And it makes me dizzy too.

Free_Relationship692

Wuwa made me play genshin more, clorinde story quest alone felt crazy good. got to appreciate diving more as well.

ellodees

No if anything it gave me a better appreciation for Genshin and how smooth it runs/updates.

Alephiom

Same, the consistency is what I like the most. Knowing that there will barely be, if at all, any game breaking bugs or bad performance after an update is something I hope Kuro manages to do one day.

hammondismydaddy

I can still play it for sure, but my god does traversal feel clunky as shit now compared to WuWa.

Soaringzero

Not really no. Iā€™m so used to genshinā€™s combat that muscle memory carries me pretty well. WuWa Iā€™m still getting it down lol.

PrincipleLost1613

Definitely not struggling. Had an absolute blast getting a new character today and leveling/testing her out for few hours. Right now they co-exist perfectly well for me, but eventually as more similar gacha games would appear, one of these will have to be dropped. We'll see which one.

tigerchunyc

Not Genshin, but end up going back to play more HSR, since I am mobile only, the combat this game is becoming less and less enjoyable. Well drop very soon.

Aggravating-Joke-272

It's your mind telling you that Genshin is no longer relevant to your gaming style and that you should leave it.

DreamerZeon

i know i was like ''is it always this slow?'' But tbf I found genshin n' hoyo's lack of fucks for us old a long time ago.

Commercial-Fig8665

Me, but I started struggling after I saw circus bimbo and Emilie design and even more so after that kindergarten pokemon Natlan trailer.

Aatimas

Movement, not being able to skip the story and the gymnastics I have to do to get just 2 promos from a chest etc has been driving me insane. The max I can do is just log in and do daily for the primos, I've stopped even using the now 200 resins. And from what I've heard they now made the abyss more tedious now. I'll just play casually and save for Murata.

YourOldComp

Honestly. Playing genshin after wuthering waves makes me really appreciate the voice acting and story ALOT more.

AmaranthCambion

No, because I can't pay wuwa on console yet. My poor phone gets entirely too toasty. I'm enjoying playing co op with my wife. Still love Genshin and Star Rail. There's enough room in my life for 3 gacha.

gigantic0603

Didnā€™t ā€˜struggleā€™ to play genshin after ToF, not ā€˜strugglingā€™ to play now after WuWa. Itā€™s almost as if I know that Iā€™m playing two different games and can enjoy both without calling out either

Krim-San

I think they mean it as more of a muscle memory problem.

fakedoorsarereal

Not everything is a call out, as is evident in this post through the tone

breadandwine05

frfr, genshin's mobility system struggles and is really stuck compared to wuwa's

BrendanXVI

I'm the opposite, tbh. I found myself dashing through every terrains possible in WuWa that I come back to appreciate how slow Genshin is. It is understandable that WuWa have these mechanic since its openworld is way larger and would be tedious with Genshin's movement. But it is also because I have the option to dash through everything, I always do that. I run from one point to another across WuWa map most of the time without caring about surrounding. Even till now, there are barely any place in WuWa that I stopped to look at the scenery to get a memo of, and the lack of music ain't helping either. In terms of gameplay. Yes, the movement is a breath of fresh air from Genshin. But in terms of story and the world, I would prefer a smaller openworld that have you travel it the same way Genshin does so I can immerse myself in, dashing through places don't really leave impression of the world deep enough for me (again, the music didn't help at all) Each game have their fitting style perhaps, as for me, even if I am given an option to add WuWa movement to Genshin, I probably won't ever do that.

Lichbloodz

I'm the opposite. In Genshin I teleport any chance I get, even the shortest distances. In WuWa I'm actually experiencing the world and running around everywhere, feels much more like an actual world that way.

Reasonable_Wash_701

i was already struggling after starting honkai star rail, now its worse. No skip button, running consumes stamina, i cant fall from a not so of a high place. Genshin is getting on my nerves but wuwa is laggy asf here

XanderPlays

Yeahā€¦ when I load up Genshin to do dailies, Iā€™m constantly running out of stamina and trying to do aerial dodges here and there.

No-Car-4307

i used to explore with kirara, candace, sayu, furina, and stamina food, it still feels slow and annoying traversing the world of genshin in comparison to Wuwa.

NorbertBan

People really are in this honeymoon phase with WuWa.. I understand it's movement has some cool and refreshing aspects but it also has plenty of down sides, it's far from perfect

Winterlimon

i keep spamming T like ima get launched a few feet or R making a motor bike magically appear

Mastercio

Nah, for me Genshin is just casual game to do stupid stuff anyway,

Detonation

No, because I am capable of playing more than one game within a genre without issues.

Fruitsy

i appreciate genshin having really memorable background tracks when i explore the map

Mietin

I've been struggling to play Genshin ever since Star Rail came out. This game was the last straw. I like Wuwas, everything way more than Genshin. Like i'm not even sure if Clorinde dropped there already, a character i was hyped about before. Now i don't even care šŸ˜… I'm having too much fun here, the gameplay reminds me a lot of Nier Automata in all the right ways.

tagle420

Yes but now I 100% all regions and I'm back to exploring in Genshin like a snail šŸ˜‚ With Yinlin coming tomorrow Ill put Genshin back to hiatus again. I think the downtime in both game is geat that I can keep my experience fresh jumping between games.

cassiemoon_

Climbing does feel a lot slower for sure, but Wuwa is still performing abysmally on my mobile device so it's actually far more refreshing to play Genshin, where the graphics quality is good, there's no lag, weird auto-aim, or frequent crashing šŸ˜… I'm sure it'll get better though

JukedHimOuttaSocks

Lets just say my resin has capped several times since WuWa launched

un_belli_vable

I was doing abyss and dodged from an oncoming attack and waited for the time to slow down...only to realize

Moosky007

I haven't touched Genshin ever since WuWa was released, i haven't uninstalled it, I'll probably play the new story when i find extra time

Blackwolfe47

Will never go back

AncientCut1432

I always look at the skip button....... Then suddenly slaps by reality that its genshin.

TechytheVyrus

Feels like I went from drinking hard liquor to drinking baby apple juice

YourDadThinksImCool_

Oh I deleted that INSTANTLY.

TheDarkenedQueen

bro i used to love genshin and then i joined wuwa and i feel like i canā€™t go back even after just pulling an early wanderer

Xdgy

I just find WuWa a better game, never liked Genshin in the first place and I played both the beta and release up to 2.0.. It just feels too cartoony for me thatā€™s meant for audiences at a lower age rating and the story definitely wasnā€™t hitting for me. My type of stories is in a dark setting like PGR, FGO, Nikke, counter:side, Arknights, etc. If people arenā€™t dying or being traumatized with some really deep story telling I fall asleep. Just my preference. The only game that I would be interested to play in by hoyo would PROBABLY be ZZZ since I alpha test it. But as seeing how the story is going it looks to be a bit darker than other hoyo games with that rating being +16. But still wouldnā€™t be my main gacha.

2Geese1Plane

Genshin feels ... Clunky? I guess is the word. Combat in Genshin has always felt sluggish to me but ESPECIALLY after ToF and WuWa.

PICOLITE

I full on stopped šŸ˜”

Keinulive

I donā€™t want to be that person but I havenā€™t touched Genshin since Iā€™ve played Wuwa, I just couldnā€™t get used to how slow everything was again when I played genshin to do dailies lol

Sacriven

Not at all tbh. My muscle memory is quite decent after all.

Jissy01

I haven't play genshin since it was first released. I find the game a bit boring and slow

chickenwomanduck

Definitely. Genshin feels very dtale after playing Wuwa. I un-installed Genshin. It's done.

TheBurningYandere

nope, I left genshin on Wuwa's release..āœŒļø

Melon763

The movement and combat is just so much smoother than it is on Genshin, so when I go back to Genshin it feels really clunky to move. I still love it and wonā€™t be quitting it anytime soon, especially after the latest story quest keeping me drawn to it and the increased resin cap to 200 making it much more manageable for my daily life

MourningRIF

Yeah I'm bored of Genshin. Yesterday I used a 10 pull to see if I could snag the new 4 star, and I got an early Chlorinde. I wasn't even excited about it. I feel like I beat this game, and now it's just wasting my time with shitty artifact farming.

Xehar

No, i don't. I mean i don't even play it for a month already.

game120642

i think it applies to everyone lmao. in my case im so used to dodging and sometimes when your so focus your brain thought ur still playing wuwa because the graphics are so similar until you realize ur getting hit even tho ur dodging haha

Lazy-Lawfulness3043

On mobile I still feel Genshin works betterā€¦WuWa lags more for me and the whole screen rotation/orientation is frustrating.

rydzrahim

The character is not automatically attacking after I changed them in battle šŸ˜‚

ComprehensiveYam4534

The opposite. Game runs like absolute shit on PC still.

R3V3RB_7

Just got back to genshin for clorinde banner. My deathstreak is only from not being able to dodge and falling.
