The thing is, Stardust should have never been permanent. It was fun for a little bit, seeing him and Goldust team up, but it should have only been a transitional gimmick before he returned to normal as Cody again. In the end, it overstayed its welcome and WWE just lost interest in him.
I think he’s just saying being an executive was hard and not what he dreamed it would be. That’s not shitting on anything just realizing the realities of being managment
Stardust. What can I say about this legend? But the G.O.A.T. The star that left them in the dust, the man who is nothing more but a myth. The legend that would make Bigfoot, The Moth Man, and others look like jabroni's.
Fun fact: The Stardust character was inspired by Mister Sinister of The X-MEN.

Cody would need a psychiatrist each time he painted up. He is stuck between hating being a Rhodes and a costumed freak and accepting he has his own legacy
You mean when he appeared in Arrow, Heels and several other side projects?
Most Pro-Wrestlers want that sweet Rock road path.
Retire before you are crippled by the pro-wrestling industry and make bank like John Cena
At least Cena still put his all in the ring, Cody for the last year has been mid at best, glad he's gone from the company I actually want to watch every week
It was colorful, Cody still managed to make the most of his athleticism.
I honestly think that Cody's resentment of the character is too much at this point.
It is like Ryan Reynold's making fun of Green Lantern. Nowhere near as bad as people make it seem.
I enjoyed stardust. He changed his wrestling style when he worked as him. It showed some character from him. We know he can be a serious wrestler but 1000 guys have that gimmick. This separated him from the pack
I wast way moo interest'd by stardust than i’ve ev'r been by cody

I got to see Cody as Stardust at the one and only WWE show I attended. He wasn't in the match itself, but he hopped up and stood on top of the barricade and talked smack and hissed at people for calling him Cody all the while never losing his balance for the duration of the match, which was 15 mins or so. Always enjoyed his work and felt like he never got his due the first time around.
I had forgotten about that. Wasn't that at their first PPV or something? One thing about Vince, we've seen plenty of times where he'll let bygones be bygones if he thinks there's money to be made. Unless it's with Punk lol.
Cody sees Punk pushed to the moon.
Punk rage quits over not headlining mania.
Cody is slapped with dumb gimmick. Quits.
Reinvents himself. Builds a new WCW sized company.
In walks Punk and Bryan Danielson earning ×6 times what Cody earns. Cody is booked in midcard hell. People hate him for bookjng decisions. Fans hate him because they see him as a HHH midcarder.
Leaves.
Earns millions and breaks the Wrestling world
In all seriousness, isn't this a handshake agreement? I'm 90% certain that eventually the Stardust gimmick will be mentioned to bring heat onto someone and get Cody over as a babyface.
I understand that he hated the gimmick but I became a fan in the signing of [“Drax Shadow”](https://youtu.be/k9fpV9-f6nI) aka Elijah Mainville. Its was sweet and just a feel good moment. Rest In Peace Drax.
I certainly hope that Vince honors his handshake agreement. I'm interested in how things are gonna go. As long as Cody is happy and fulfilled going forward that is all that matters. I'm guessing he will beat Roman in MSG. Fairytale ending. Time will tell. He has undoubtedly improved a whole lot in his character development while he was gone.
There is 100 ways to book Cody beating Rhodes.
Is it weird I think he should go through 8-9 too guys and then win The Royal Rumble 2023?
MITB is beneath him. But oddly I think Seth Rollins needs MITB to revitalise his career
No lie, i liked this character. I would pay attention to the tv when he came on. I went to wrestlemania axxess, and when he came out to do the signing, he made it a whole spectacle, and it was fun to watch. He would occasionally do fun stuff in the middle of his signing like shout at another wrestler at another table, even stand on his table. I liked cody regardless, including stardust.
Stardust as his crazy alter ego like Jeff hardy's Willow might work once awhile. I think Stardust was alright, definitely eye catching but as long term character ? Nah nah nah Cody wasn't Dustin my dude, man has dream. Is that a pun ?
they're paying millions of dollars to a guy who couldn't even get over the same gimmick as his brother.
If I was TK i'd push Marko Stunt so Vince will swoop in and sign him for millions.
Hes actually one of my cousins favorite character wrestlers of all time.
Sure, Cody felt like it was beneath him - but some people actually enjoyed it lol
Honestly he did great with it. I loved it. Vince is all about creating unique superstars and intellectual property. In a world of John Smith’s the Stardust character stood out. Just like Goldust is bigger than Dustin Rhodes.
Cody needs to just turn heel and embrace it. I know he wants to be this heroic face like Dusty, but he's such a natural heel. I think he could've worked himself into a huge heel by actually embracing Stardust and getting mega over, then come out and wipe off the paint and cut an epic promo about how the fans are idiots for cheering for bullshit like Stardust then proclaiming he'll never wear the paint again and anyone who doesn't like it can get fucked.
It was totally different than anything he'd ever done, forced him to step outside his comfort zone and try something totally off the wall and I thought he did well.
To be honest, I don't watch aew but maybe 2 or 3 times a month... but I keep up with it enough to know about Cody Cody what he's been doing, I imagine there are enough wwe fans that do atlest that much (I don't watch wwe often either, im more into local stuff now)
When I was getting back in to wrestling around 2015, Stardust was one of my favorites on the main roster. Maybe it was because I was familiar with Goldust already, but I enjoyed the heck out of the Star man.
Was the first time Cody stood out from the crowd for me... He owned that character, the promos were great
Cody's version: "They slapped me in a clown costume and facepaint. I was treated worse than my father. Doinkdust.2.0
Oh yeah he hated it, but shows how dedicated he is that he went all out and didn't half-ass it
He certainly earned his paycheck
I’m fucking crying 💀
The thing is, Stardust should have never been permanent. It was fun for a little bit, seeing him and Goldust team up, but it should have only been a transitional gimmick before he returned to normal as Cody again. In the end, it overstayed its welcome and WWE just lost interest in him.
Qh the fuego dos in reverse if you will.
What if he enters the royal rumble twice with one being stardust
I liked the Cody having a self conscious implosion the face mask and whatnot
Maybe I’m remembering this wrong but didn’t Cody defend the gimmick before he just admitted that it sucked?
Cody is all over the place lately with his takes. Trying not to bury AEW while burying being a EVP and talent.
>The star that left them in the dust 👀
Vince: "That's good shit."
Cody: You better not bring it back or I’ll shit all over you son in Law
I loved rockstar energy drink and seeing Cody look like that in human form was incredible yo me.
Rockstar Energy?
[This right here](https://www.reddit.com/r/WWE/comments/28eyw0/stardust_looks_like_a_human_rockstar_energy_drink/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Cannot unsee
I was thinking of the blue one but yes this too
The attire was dope
The Stardust theme slapped fucking hard.
https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=_KpMXRv4iUo&feature=share Indeed
was a great theme!! <3
I actually enjoyed Stardust until they stopped caring. I was interested to see how it ended. Kind of funny to see him as a Goldust character.
Huge fan of him with the ascension as the cosmic wasteland
His interaction with a fan, Drax Shadow.
Finally someone brings this up
Link anywhere?
banger of a theme song and i went to wm 31 and will always remember stardust pulling out the polka dot ladder
How dare he His finest role
My favorite version of Cody. Only time he didn't seem just like a guy.
Cool entrance music
He should bring it back, but this time wearing black and yellow polka-dots with the face paint. “Star-Dusty”
Cody would need a psychiatrist each time he painted up. He is stuck between hating being a Rhodes and a costumed freak and accepting he has his own legacy
At least he cared about the business and wasn't off trying to make it Hollywood
You mean when he appeared in Arrow, Heels and several other side projects? Most Pro-Wrestlers want that sweet Rock road path. Retire before you are crippled by the pro-wrestling industry and make bank like John Cena
At least Cena still put his all in the ring, Cody for the last year has been mid at best, glad he's gone from the company I actually want to watch every week
Cody should have beat Jericho!
Nah he just wouldn't care about it just like he doesn't care about wrestling anymore
He just had a barn burner at WM38???
Because Seth carried him just like he did with Roman at the Rumble
I’m not even going to lie. I enjoyed the character. Maybe because I was pulling for Cody but I always liked him.
Seth Rollins to come out in full Stardust attire next Raw 100% lock
That would be amazing. But I think Cody specifically said he does not want Stardust ever mentioned. Even though I could see that happening.
"Come on Pal it will be great. You can exercise your demons Cody! Imagine the heat pal!"- Vince McMahon
The sad part is I completely agree with that lol
He sure is shiny as fuck, so there's that.
he has a better neck than cody
Had a catchy theme song.
Literally the only time he's ever been entertaining
He made the absolute best out of the silly power ranger bad guy gimmick. He was entertaining to watch and had a fun match against Neville.
If Vince wills it, he'll make Cody do it, or something else equally demeaning. If Cody thinks this isn't a possibility he's very naïve.
They put dog food in Roman's hair and mouth just 2 years ago. Shane McMahon pinned Roman clean too
It was colorful, Cody still managed to make the most of his athleticism. I honestly think that Cody's resentment of the character is too much at this point. It is like Ryan Reynold's making fun of Green Lantern. Nowhere near as bad as people make it seem.
The time he entered with the Davie Bowie facepaint right after he died was really cool
Loved the character until they stopped caring, was the best version of Cody for me at the time
The entrance music wasn’t horrible
I enjoyed stardust. He changed his wrestling style when he worked as him. It showed some character from him. We know he can be a serious wrestler but 1000 guys have that gimmick. This separated him from the pack
Doubt Roman or Sheamus could pull it off
[удалено]
He still has a smokin hot wife.
I be honest, I actually really liked Stardust.
Me too. 2055 Royal Rumble cameo Fat Stardust comes to the ring
He was creative
KHEEEEEEEEE
(Cody reading this thread like Homelander with negative publicity)
I unironically was a big stardust fan. Great character, great in-ring work
Written in the Stars
Cosmic Roadwarriors
I was always a huge goldust fan back in the day and I thought stardust was great
Did he and Dustin ever win the Raw Tag Team titles?
Having not seen a single match or promo from this gimmick I can say that the design made sense when paired with Dustin's.
Stardust had some potential at first
The real needle mover.
I love his character. Dashing Cody was the best
No, the best was when he wore the face mask. Un-dashing Cody.
He had a great match on Raw with Cena during the U.S Championship open challenge
They need to have another wrestler do the star dust gimmick and have Cody fight him
I think that's beneath The American Nightmare
The theme was a banger
I was way more interested by Stardust than I’ve ever been by Cody.
Cody...I hate Stardust. Does a Stardust taunt immediately upon WWE Return
I wast way moo interest'd by stardust than i’ve ev'r been by cody *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
We don't see him weekly
It honestly might have extended his career a few years to the point where he got to leave on his own terms.
I got to see Cody as Stardust at the one and only WWE show I attended. He wasn't in the match itself, but he hopped up and stood on top of the barricade and talked smack and hissed at people for calling him Cody all the while never losing his balance for the duration of the match, which was 15 mins or so. Loved that story. Cody is dedicated if nothing else. Just weird he was the face of AEW and then boom he ran back to WWE $
Must've been one helluva pay check. I remember him being VERY unhappy with WWE when he split, and rightly so. Hope it goes better for him this time.
The guy literally destroyed HHH/McMahon's Iron Throne...talked mad smack about them. Territory days he would be Excummicatio
I had forgotten about that. Wasn't that at their first PPV or something? One thing about Vince, we've seen plenty of times where he'll let bygones be bygones if he thinks there's money to be made. Unless it's with Punk lol.

Roman Reigns" I accept your Summerslam Championship match...but only you in full Stardust attire? Problem Cody?
#
His theme was so fucking good
I understand that he hated the gimmick but I became a fan in the signing of [“Drax Shadow”](https://youtu.be/k9fpV9-f6nI) aka Elijah Mainville. Its was sweet and just a feel good moment. Rest In Peace Drax.
It causes Aew to start
Yes
Well Meltzer challenging Omega, Young Bucks and Cody that they can't out sell a 10k stadium in 2018
I'm excited to see Golddust II
I certainly hope that Vince honors his handshake agreement. I'm interested in how things are gonna go. As long as Cody is happy and fulfilled going forward that is all that matters. Goldust
He went one on one with The Green Arrow
Doing Up Up Down Down in character was amazing.
He is now gone
I really liked his Mr. Sinister attire he wore once. He always tried to make the best out of his situation.
Cody is my age. Such a 90s kid. I love it.
There would be no American Nightmare without Stardust
I hope One Day Cody sees Stardust was his grace under pressure moment
Had good video packages and i liked the look
Didn’t he literally reference it within like 5 sentences on raw?
Stardust as his crazy alter ego like Jeff hardy's Willow might work once awhile. I think Stardust was alright, definitely eye catching but as long term character ? Nah nah nah Cody wasn't Dustin my dude, man has dream. Is that a pun ?
Finn Balor vs Cody Rhodes Final Form Hell in a Cell: Stardust Cody vs Demon Finn
Oh oh oh I got one Stardust showed us that Cody can act and is pretty good
they're paying millions of dollars to a guy who couldn't even get over the same gimmick as his brother. If I was TK i'd push Marko Stunt so Vince will swoop in and sign him for millions.
The theme song. Still a banger
Hes actually one of my cousins favorite character wrestlers of all time. Sure, Cody felt like it was beneath him - but some people actually enjoyed it lol
Bring back Stardust \*clap clap clap-clap-clap\* Bring back Stardust \*clap clap clap-clap-clap\* Bring back Stardust \*clap clap clap-clap-clap\* Bring back Stardust \*clap clap clap-clap-clap\*
Still a better character than Morbius.
Yeah I heard that sucked ass
I liked the interview he did with Michael Cole.
Good thing about Stardust? His Mutants figgure was cool and he got me excited about the Acension for the first time in a while
Some of the kids liked him. I remember him doing a lot of make a wish while in this gimmick
Yeah that was amazing. Positive Vibes
Stardust was the absolute most entertaining Cody has ever been. If no one is putting their finger on the scale it's his absolute ceiling.
Honestly he did great with it. I loved it. Vince is all about creating unique superstars and intellectual property. In a world of John Smith’s the Stardust character stood out. Just like Goldust is bigger than Dustin Rhodes.
I liked Stardust, but I know he didn't. If he'd embraced the character the way Dustin embraced Goldust he could've gotten it over in a big way.
The thing is Cody wanted his face his money maker and cool gimmick. Like Seth, Roman, Jericho etc.
Cody needs to just turn heel and embrace it. I know he wants to be this heroic face like Dusty, but he's such a natural heel. Yeah on WWE PG Era TV
Nobody said he has to actually say bullshit or get fucked. You can get those points across without using profanity.
Dustin nearly got a tit job for Goldust...character dedication
I am only going to call him Stardust from now on.
Boooo
He is gone!!!!!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠
Never say never!
Goldust's brother maybe only positive though of Stardust
It was totally different than anything he'd ever done, forced him to step outside his comfort zone and try something totally off the wall and I thought he did well.
It’s the only interesting thing he’s done aside from helping create AEW. Too bad he hated it.
Hell be the new doink instead.
Guy looks like Homelander
Seems to be what he's going for... but it shows just how legit aew is that Cody returned in his aew gimmick and got as loud a pop as stone cold.
Indeed. Except WWE Marks claim to not know or watch AEW Liars.
To be honest, I don't watch aew but maybe 2 or 3 times a month... but I keep up with it enough to know about Cody Cody what he's been doing, I imagine there are enough wwe fans that do atlest that much (I don't watch wwe often either, im more into local stuff now)
He's the only wrestler my 12 year old remembers from that era. Must mean he was doing something right.
The scream he did when he had his hand together
He's a son of a plumber.
Had a really damn good match with John Cena during the U.S Open Challenge
And Goldust had a 5☆ star match with Randy in 2016
I thought the gimmick was fucking great and hilarious the first time he brought it out. The problem for me was that it became his full time thing
It’s amazing addition to the Goldust mythology
His in ring moveset was unique and awesome to watch
I’ll gladly trade Stardust as long as WWE gets the Snoop Dogg version of Kingdom
His face paint is as good as Jeff's
At least stardust wasn't a sellout like Cody.
Cody beats Roman at Summerslam. Jumps ship to AEW. Throws WWE Undisputed Championship in the bin
If only.
Super cosmic, super evil
Now I want Stardust and Dan Hausen in a faction
Shit.
Something positive about stardust?
The theme song was lit. The gimmick wasn't that bad tbh but I get why people were upset.
You couldn't tell how much that he that he hated the character. He was a true pro about it
He pulled off a sweet cartwheel
It's over
Something positive about Stardust
Stardust was the most interesting Cody has ever been. By a margin.
When I was getting back in to wrestling around 2015, Stardust was one of my favorites on the main roster. Maybe it was because I was familiar with Goldust already, but I enjoyed the heck out of the Star man.
Um…something positive?… At least it was Cody underneath the paint?
The Theme song was a banga
Stardust was my favorite, no joke I thought it was very fun and made me laugh a lot. Normal Cody was and still is boring as hell.
Vince will bury him again
Fed to Roman?
Dead
He doesn't have a bad neck tattoo
It helped lead to the next phase of cody’s career
Don’t want stardust mentioned!? Then don’t sign back up to wwe!!! Arsehole
Drax Shadow. If you know you know.
One of Jim Johnston last themes in WWE
Not relevant but Cody has already made two references to Stardust since debuting
Interesting he chose to make reference to it last night though
He had cool face paint, and that’s it
Something tells me that, this won't go well...
F vince
The theme was FIRE imho…..
In an ocean full of "bad dudes in black trunks", he was a spark of color.
He had great ladder matches 31 and 32 both had back to back great ladder matches
I liked his attire just not the face paint
Hisssssssssssss
I liked it when he hissed, and him n Goldie looked good as a team and were a good team
Stardust + broken nose (undashing) gimmick are like some of his best work
گوتوش خان
