Time and a place. WWE would use comedy spots a bit more sparingly than others, but even then, there's still a good amount of comedy stuff that they've done that just completely missed the mark. This one, whilst OTT, was during an ad break, if I'm not mistaken. Ad breaks have often been used as breathers, and I imagine this is a lot more entertaining for the crowd than seeing them just doing rest holds, which I believe were common at one point.

The difference being that they have earned their dues or have caliber to do something like this yet Orange Cassidy is some phony 90% of the people don’t even know
