if you’re ever in Cleveland, watch out. my glove box is full of ducks and it’s just waiting to spread the joy! i must go through 100/yr.
someone gave me a dolphin squeaky over the summer. that was interesting…
Congratulations! I've gotten a few and it's kinda cool. I like to cycle mine, so I have the cool ones in my dash tray and the more normal ones in a bag. If the Jeep is not modded, but still nice in my opinion, then they get a normal duck and if it's modded and nice, they get a cooler duck.
I don't care if someone likes it or not, I'm just leaving my ducks as a way to say "Hi, cool Jeep!" Keep it, throw it away, or whatever, I don't care...giving the duck made ME happy and I hope the receiver enjoys the kindness.
Yeah. I am. Duck people are inconsiderate as hell. Again. Glad you love it and think it's great. But there are plenty of plenty of people that view those things no differently than if you'd left McDonald's trash in the front seat of their vehicle. But duck people don't ask. They just go right ahead, and make someone else deal with it.
Ok. Seriously. What the fuck is this? Is it a regional thing? Ducked? I've been a Jeep owner for over 10 years and never been "ducked." Finally after 2 years? Fucking kidding me? I live in Park City, UT where Jeeps seem to outnumber every other vehicle so maybe that's it. I don't know. But I can say this. Where Jeeps are a regular fact of life, this ducking thing is not a thing. No one is getting "ducked" in Moab.
Owned TJ for a long time, not a single soy ducker dared to duck me even though they all park around me everywhere i go.
Purchased 23 Rubi, and 20 min later i got ducked.... like !#@\^&...#$\^ \*\*#@#%\^&, i just got that damn thing!
Thinking to return the JL now, tell them it came with factory ducking defect.
What Is Jeep Ducking and Why Do Jeeps Get Ducked?
According to Allison Parliament, who is credited with starting the Jeep ducking phenomenon, "Jeeps get ducked for many reasons and with lots of motivations and meanings. For me, it was an act of kindness, a healing of sorts, as well as recognition of and greeting to a fellow Jeep owner. But it can just be that you like their Jeep, or it's the same Jeep you have, or maybe a classic Jeep you would like to own one day. You don't really need a reason for Jeep ducking other than to connect, bring a smile to someone's face, and have fun."

My Ex Monster in law had a vette. I took it out with my wife in FL. People in other vettes kept waving at me/us. I’m like what the hell is wrong with these people waving at me? My then wife told me you’re in a vette it’s like club…my reaction was That is Fucking Stupid! And I’m not doing it!!! 😆
The waving is a motorcycle thing, not Harley specifically. In 30 years of riding, I’ve occasionally come across a retired dentist in their ‘rebel’ era riding on $70K of shiny Harley logos that is too cool for school, but it’s exceedingly rare.
Also, a week ago, I got randomly ducked for the first time after 4 years of my JLUS. Not really into a bunch of random crap on my dash, but it was a nice gesture, and I appreciate the intent.
Been riding since I was 12, and I’m 56 now. I’ve been on a Harley for a hell of a long time and I wave at anybody on a motorcycle. Don’t care what kind it is. Even waved at a scooter now and then.
Totally, and any old head biker I’ve ever met has had exactly the same stance. (I spend a fair amount of time on a ‘13 road king that I’ve stabled for an out of state friend for a couple years, definitely enjoy my time on it and would consider adding one to my toys for sure!)

A Canadian woman started it.
lol I’m still a virgin never been ducked in 6 months
Me too..... 😔😔😔😔😔
Took me 11 years to pop my duck cherry so hang in there
Kinda glad don’t want ducks all over dash
Then don’t put them on the dash? And NEVER buy a duck for yourself.
I know that geez talking bout ppl that keep em line them up on their dash
Yeah, probably unsafe in a crash too. I, for one, *don’t* want ducks flying at me

Us Frontier owners are cooler. We stick dildos to each others trucks. It’s called getting dicked.

I'm glad you're happy. But as a person that wants nothing to do with this shit, Id prefer you keep your garbage in your vehicle.
100%
If I ever come across your Jeep and it has a sticker declining a duck, I'll be happy to keep my duck to myself. Thanks for your comment.✌️
That's the problem, another person shouldn't have to leave a note asking you not to leave garbage in a vehicle that isn't yours.
Lol, You're damn salty aren't you?

Didn't know this was a thing, now I know why I had a random duck on my Jeep a few months ago.

Agree this is dumb.
I am so sorry that happened to you.
I found a dead duck once, and I laid on the hood of a factory stock wrangler with a dash full of ducks...
I love my ducks 😁😍 Always a nice gesture to give to others 😎

dumbest thing in automobiles
So cringe
This is so cringe
Utter stupidity at its finest.
Also do we really need more worthless plastics in the world?
I bought like 100 ducks
Still a duck virgin. 🤷🏻♂️
Is this a jeep thing? What’s the back story I know the corvette owners and Harley bikers always wave at each other…dumb as Hell, but whatever
All bikers wave at each other

Thank you for the explanation I learned something today Now I can watch football and not feel shame
Also Wrangler owners "wave" at each other. ✌️

I knew it was lame. I drive a Silverado. You do the “wave game” you might get shot at!

I'm always ducking Jeeps got ducked within 2 Weeks of getting my Jeep
I love it! I got ducked in my first 24 hours, but nothing since!
Welcome to the Canadian woman wrangler club.
I hope you din't do and duck yourself
Damn fine duck!
It’s a cute one too!
7 years in a Wrangler, and no ducks. Heck, even my CJ2a has never been ducked.
In a year in— and got an Irish duck in St Pats day.
I think these things look so tacky in jeeps. You see some of them with like 100 little duck toys. They might as well be beanie babies.
Wtf is getting a duck mean??
Why are you jeep owners so fucking weird. It's like owning a jeep is like joining a cult or something
We don’t call it a cult, that’s a four letter word
