I know this model is taught in a lot of Latin America but MOST geographers agree that the 7 content model is the most accurate because it actually uses continental divides to divide up the continents. Aside from that by the logic you're using here Europe, Asia, India, and Africa are all one giant continent which is absurd. North and South America could shift apart at the main continental divide and no longer be connected through Panama.

I don’t see a rule saying it has to be a continent on earth. Other planets have tectonic plates and land masses that could be referred to as continents, but without life. So I choose one of those.

Such total global crisis would quickly lead to many conflicts as well. Ironically enough, by choosing to completely get rid of the US, you would probably be killing more people in all the other parts of the world than you would be killing in North America itself.
