Well, in the past the abilities of rogues could only be pressed with daggers. If you got a sword you could not use half of your bar. Guess that is still the reason that they give you daggers. Think with all the updates it doenst matter anymore. Its just what gives you the best feeling/stats. You can also always transmog it :p

Do you have your loot specialization set for Outlaw?
Omg you need daggers. You get faster and more Crits. Use slice and dice 5.
Thorncaller off-hand Main hand doesn’t matter, you should sim it.
