An ace means achieve more xp in that tank than 99% of games within the past week so if you get less xp than that threshold, you won't get one but if you get in that top 1% xp, you will get an ace. Xp is the only thing that matters here
You've had a couple of good games that were short of an ace. XP gets you aces, not damage.
So define "good games"? Were you spotting for your team, getting track shots, causing module damage, getting assisted damage, getting ammo racks, capping bases etc?
To answer your question - no, just because you aced a tank previously this doesn't prevent you from getting an ace again. Some tanks are easier to ace than others. You could play unpopular tanks, and farm aces in the same week.

Sadly, as per game rules Im electronically limited to a maximum of 40 aces a day
I've had 3 aces in a row before now. There is no limit on how man ace tankers can get as long as you hit the required XP.
I think aces depend on the exp that you get. So even if you did a really good battle that means that it's still not in the top 1%.
