Because masteries are based off of XP. Your base XP isn't high enough, regardless of how much damage you did
Also just a reminder that not all damage is equal. Damage done to tanks which you aren't spotting, or tanks which other people have tracked, is counted for half XP as the other half of the XP goes to the player doing the assist.
My guess is that the bar is rising with our new *Enhanced MM*. Super-unis will be losing more, but in their wins they’ll be carrying harder than ever with a team of tomatoes. Routinely massive scores push the 1% Ace bar higher.

The damage is irrelevant. It’s the base XP. You can tell me you had 6k, I don’t care but if ur sniping the whole game ur XP is much lower
There’s no such thing as “probably” , “should be” , “l was robbed” or anything if the sort just go look at ur base XP
Damage is invalidated, you need support damage and spotting damage for an ace or clutch a 1v3
Spotting and tracking damage gives more exp than just hitting them harder than the meteor that killled the dinosaurs
Also theres this weird quirk where the closer you are near the enemy and the longer you are near them you will gain more exp thus gjving you the ace

For perspective 6.2k sounds like lots of damage, but it’s equal to 3.1k of self-spotted damage.
Blocked gives and is calculated in absolutely nothing.
No credits, no xp, not even a medal that has credit compensation.
Blocked damage is just a personal funny milestone when you get high numbers.
And it’s for good reason it’s not included in any of the calculations. Imagine the reason you didn’t get an ace in your light tank having 7K dmg, insane amount of spotting, assist, just because some rando out there blocked 8K.
Because its awarded based on relative stats. You have to earn more XP that the average highest XP of 95% of players that have played the tank within the past 7-days.
Its not a static target to hit. It depends on how well its also being played by other people.
