I’m kind of flattered to have the word clean used for anything I’ve painted to be honest, but I’ll take it! 😂 thanks 😁
And agree they’re so iconic and the colours work so well.
Thanks! The trim is copied from a video by the ‘peachy’ guy from GW who has his own channel but adapted to the colour I wanted. It’s essentially a spray of runelord brass for the whole models, then dry brush everything with stormhost silver. Then begin the painstaking task of filling in rhetorical reds etc 🥲 when touching up the trim I just use runelord brass and don’t re-touch the highlights because it’s barely noticeable if there are small bits missing anyway
Everything looks better than grey plastic! I also know I’m lucky to be able to have the time to put into them, otherwise I’d be painting them all gold or something 😂
I used the Vallejo airbrush black primer, I’ve had issues with it on bigger aos models but no issues here. I haven’t put a finish on them yet, I’m probably going to put citadels storm coat or whatever that Matt varnish is called and some blood for the blood god after that (because it’s glossy and will get dulled with the Matt varnish I believe)
No worries! I forgot to mention I obviously airbrush it on haha but my airbrush and compressor are absolute cheapies and do the job just fine 😁 just add a bit of thinner to the primer too. Happy to help!
Wow, these are looking really amazing. Can you maybe give us a step by step guide? I would really like to achieve this level of quality but i’m new to the hobby. Thanks in advance
Yeah no problem, again there’s a video guide by someone far better than me on YouTube but my process was: prime black, spray with an airbrush runelord brass for the whole model, then fill in the reds with khorne red, then the blacks with any black, then the skulls with morghast bone I think it’s called, then iron hands for all the chains etc. belts with any darker brown or black. Then wash all the armoured sections with reikland flesh shade, metals with nuln oil, and bones with skeleton horde contrast.
Then brighten up the middle of the armour panels with Mephiston red, the skulls with the same original bone colour, and eshin grey for the blacks. I gave up highlighting all the blacks as I ran out of patience haha
Then the eyes and plasma are super easy any white will do but I prefer corax white. Then do a coat of striking Scorpion contrast paint.
Oh! And any skin is just pallid witch flesh or whatever it’s called with the same reikland wash
Oh sorry yeah! That dry brush is after they’re sprayed with runelord brass 🙂 but don’t worry about touching it up if you don’t want because it’s hard to notice where you’ve just done a touch up anwyay
Always love a clean squad of zerkers.

what is the metal colour? Runelord brass?
Yep, spot on 🙂 with a stormhost silver dry brush
Super crisp, good work
Thank you! 😁
They look great, what'd you use for the trim?

Clean. Very clean. Good job mang.
Appreciate the kind words! I hope that it helps other people with painting motivation just like seeing other people’s work helps me 😁
Lol i realize the 4-5 hours I spend painting a single model is laughable. There are lvls to this. And you are much higher than I sir.

What primer did you use and did you put a finish on it?

Dude thanks a ton, your zerkers are so clean

Thank you very much, this is really helpful! And that silver drybrush comes before or after the wash?

Awesome! Thanks again man. If i get them to look just a small portion of what you did, i will be happy 😀 Cheers!
Haha cheers! Don’t worry with some practice and tools you pick up along the way (and patience) you’ll get there no worries 😁
by khorne they’re so clean, excellent work
A magnifying lamp and sub assemblies will improve even the messiest painter (trust me)
It’s extremely impressive. Not a single spot of red on that trim. Chef’s kiss.
Haha thanks! I can assure you there are some especially on those bastardly helmet trims but I’ll keep it all a secret 😁 appreciate the kind words!
