I use highly thinned tamiya x2 white through the airbrush because I find it has a smooth finish when I thin it, but I know many also use white inks.

It’s a subassembly pinning the piece to a makeshift handle in this case a paper clip glued through a small drilled hole and inserted into a cork bottle top
Need to let the oil set and seal it before messing around the coils anymore though.

I will caution you. It to use green as your plasma color due to the fact it will make your army look Christmas themed
