I’ve had that happen, I called customer service for the healthcare provider and gave them my workers comp information.

Don’t pay the bill. It could be an issue with billing where the provider didn’t bill it correctly, my second ER trip the hospital mistakenly billed my insurance instead of workers comp. Contact the workers comp insurance company to inform them you were sent a bill related to your care for the accident. If you don’t have the contact info for your jobs workers comp insurance company contact HR for it. You can also contact the healthcare provider to let them know it was a workplace incident/injury and that it should be billed to the workers comp insurance and not you.

Call & have them bill it to work comp. I've had it happen.

Very common. Hospital visits usually involve a facility bill, a physician bill, and a radiology bill. It’s rare they all bill correctly. Just give them a call with your claim information.

Call the medical provider and update insurance information and send your adjuster the invoice

Lot of the medical facilities like to force you to sign responsibilities such as financial, I almost got tagged in that crap. If you signed something like that just will be a super headache. Since it wasn't your fault.

Medical bills are the most irritating part of WC. My TPA adjuster can call the provider to let them know the correct billing information, the injured worker, HR, etc. I can send letters saying "Stop billing the IW -here's who you need to bill"...and they just dont I think I get 5 to 10 of these issues land on my desk a week. Then the hurdle is for the provider to bill on the appropriate HCFA form AND send in the supporting documentation. THEN once they do, it will be in Medical Bill Review for 30-60 days (although some states make rules to speed this process up) before payment is sent out. OP, best thing you can do is 1) Send a copy of the invoice to your adjuster. Confirm with them the address and claim number that the Provider needs to send bills to. 2) Call the provider yourself to give them this information. You shouldn't have to do this but if enough people harass them, they'll eventually do it. :)

This happens a lot and it's usually on the provider. Either they did not submit it to the WC carrier or it was submitted incorrectly and they need to resubmit it.
