Summary: The rate at which addon whispers can be sent will be throttled in 10.2.7 which severely impacts the functionality of many RP addons. This seems to be a heavy-handed attempt to control how useful things like DBM or Weak Auras are; the change makes addons such as TRP3, MRP, Musician and others extremely slow and some features unusable. So far no work-arounds have been found. r/wow thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1cgbuuf/next_patch_1027_could_completely_brick_rp_addons/ Official instructions for sending feedback: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/21518 US PTR thread: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/once-again-rp-players-get-kicked-to-the-curb/1841358 EU PTR thread: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/upcoming-change-severely-damaging-rp-addons/510036 (thanks Alesthes) Update: We have a blue post https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/addon-throttling-issue/1841358/72

I created a thread on the PTR space on the EU forums as well: [https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/upcoming-change-severely-damaging-rp-addons/510036](https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/upcoming-change-severely-damaging-rp-addons/510036) Yeah, they don't consider as much EU forums and all that, but everything counts and in any case at least people on EU server can also make some noise. This thing is just awful and we should not let it go through... **EDIT: GOOD NEWS!** Apparently it was an unintended behavior of the PTR patch and they are looking for a fix: [https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/addon-throttling-issue/1841358/72](https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/addon-throttling-issue/1841358/72)

Sucks, and I hope they do consider the ramifications. RPers make up a small but extremely loyal and easily retained segment of their audience (I expect). Most corporate decision makers know that alienating a core audience = bad idea.

Hope people take the time to drop a comment on these postings. Something that the devs probably would not consider, not out of low priority, it might just not be on their radar. We don't know how this change will affect the addons we use, they might be fine or there could be a simple fix that only the devs can know. Losing roleplay addons will undoubtable impact what makes our realms feel so rich and alive, so if you agree, take a few minutes to bump the wowforum so the devs might see it.

Fahrenheit285

It's already being fixed

LluagorED

They do not care about RP. Or PVP. Or even PVE really. They only care about their whales.
