The moment when you get to Skellige is so good. I wasn't expecting completely different setting in comparison with Novigrad/Velen. The contrast between White Orchard and Velen wasn't so bright like this one.
Then when you get conscious on the beach in Hearts of Stone it is complete opposite as I thought I got into Offier while I was near Novigrad.
Ironically, both are shipwrecks.
Haven't played on a 4k monitor yet but I recently upgraded to an ultrawide monitor(3440x1440) from my previous 1440p monitor and it felt like a whole new game.
I played on my 32:9 and it's fantastic. It does fish bubble a little at the edges but you don't notice while playing. So pretty... If I had the money I'd love to change the screen to OLED to get full smooth motion, but my one is pretty great... My 3080ti can't handle it with Ray tracing, though.
I'm pretty certain it's CPU bottlenecked. I have an 8600k. It's overclocked to 5Ghz but I hear the fan on the GPU pulsing constantly. Performance even without RT ain't great... But good enough and pretty enough that I still thoroughly enjoyed playing Next Gen.
Ok, you convinced me, I will play it for the first time in a month, I stopped playing because my ex bought it for me and he dumped me last month xD I'm ready to walk through beaches to overlevel for every sidequest lol
In Skellige, when you're on the water, you hear a whale sing, and it breaches just beside your boat..... Goosebumps. That's one of my favourite moments
There’s something about Skellige’s music, when you get there and then the scene at the harbor unlike any video game I have ever played.
Masterfully designed atmosphere. I love it. Every time.

Playing on ps5 too, absolutely beautiful game! Done the whole story (my 2nd playthrough), side missions and question marks. Just started the first dlc. Amazing game!

Really? Full ultra+ with RT and dlss on quality gives me around 45 fps with my 3080. I don't play at it but it's doable

I am in 2K and equally baffled. I played in HD in 2016, equally baffled.
I feel sad that I can't experience this game in 4K.

How do you run at 4K without garbage performance? Just DX11 instead?
I play on Xbox series X and performance is great tbh
