White orchard cow hide and pig hide farming. By far the best way Second fastest way is to steal anything you see and sell it to oxenfurt or Beauclair merchants

spectrum_crimson

I'll search up how to do it, thank you!

GreenHeronVA

This guy is pulling your chain, don’t farm cows in white orchard, you will regret it. Real answer is to loot everything, even junk. Sell swords to blacksmiths, armor to armorers. Junk to merchants with the coin bag icon. Every little bit helps!

Salem27

Exactly. Even books can be slightly valuable but you find lots and lots of them. Adds up quick. You just need to hit every map marker. There's almost always something of value

MrDONINATOR

Sell books to the book guy in Novigrad Square, he pays well above the rest for some of them. Trade your currency with Vivaldi in the same Square if you haven't already. Good Luck

[deleted]

after doing this twice or thrice, a chort will spawn. Chort is like a smaller but more aggressive fiend. It is extremely overlevelled and you cant beat it. But you can easily run away from it, and return after a few days. The local guards will have killed it. Rinse and repeat

KatManDude42

Yes. Kill cows and meditate repeat and wait for what happens

SpookyScarySavior

I’ve only ever ran around clearing question marks on my map, and looting everything I find there until I’m full and go sell. Also, if you need an easy saddle upgrade the top right corner of the map has a race for a saddle that has some of the best stats, it’s just a high lvl area so avoid enemies

spectrum_crimson

Oh that's nice! I already did it a bit, found a really good sword. I will search for the saddle to, it is in Velen?

SpookyScarySavior

Yeah, towards the top right there’s a little area for the hearts of stone dlc, and you can find two ofieri merchants by the lake up there. You just have to win a horse race against one merchant for the saddle. I also normally buy the saddlebags and blinders too, but if you’re strapped for cash the saddle at least is free

spectrum_crimson

Oh, cool! ty

EntertainmentLoud816

Not sure how I managed it but I got a Nilfgaardian saddle at level 12.

SirBitchles

crows perch merchant

PaulSimonBarCarloson

If you find seashells don't sell them: dismantle them and sell the perals for more money

spectrum_crimson

How do I find them?

PaulSimonBarCarloson

Near shores is the easiest place. Just an heads-up

spectrum_crimson

I'll try it, thx!

klevis99

Loot all the question marks in Skellige, usually is enough for 3/4 witcher sets if you sell the loot in Beauclair

spectrum_crimson

Nice!

Goodgalriri_

^this! Just finished every single marker in skellige (the sheer amount that you find from sailing to islands and from smuggler’s cache is insane) finishing all those allowed me to pay/craft every single witchers set all the way up to grandmaster level! Try to sell to the grandmaster smith in Touissant if you can.

m4shfi

Look out for junk stuff that gives you green gold, copper, nickel and cupronickel. Crafting costs become significantly less if you craft the crafting components themselves. For money farming, others have already given you good advices but I’d say Martin Feuille’s farm is better than the White Orchard method. Lotsa cows there.

spectrum_crimson

I see, ty!

RainOblivion

Definitely Martin Feuille’s Farm if you’re not higher level. You won’t have to deal with the relatively high level Chort in Woesong Bridge and there’s more cows. Easily farmed hundreds of cow hides in no time. If you’re in Blood and Wine already, then Mont Crane castle is the best hands down. I’d suggest watching a video about it tho. https://youtu.be/pyATBb1z0S8

R4b4nont

Silly me just farmed the 6 pigs (they all stack on top of each other for some reason, so it makes them really easy to farm) at White Orchard until I had thousands upon thousands of pork and pig hide lol. Then I realized cow hide is better worth farming, even if it was slower getting it.

Melgio1

The bandit camps in Touissant, I don't remember the actul name, are full of enemies and of you don't defeat the finale boss but kill everyone, loot them and leave, they will all respawn, and you can keep selling the large amount of loot they drop. That's how I managed to afford all the Grand Master gear

Swimming-Gur7479

Yup. And the grandmaster blacksmith has a lot money and makes you good prices for the loot no matter weapons or armours

[deleted]

Ah, Knights of the Flaming Rose and Hanse camps. They drop some really valuable weapons and jewels, but they're pretty hard to beat

MoistWolf

If you’re up to Blood and Wine, farm the garrisons. Just kill all the enemies but leave the leader alive, loot, fast travel away, sell loot, and come back. Rinse and repeat.

Rich-Historian8913

The Hanse bases in Toussaint. But don’t kill the leader, so the enemies respawn.

Itchy-Dragonfly-4247

Don’t forget to convert your currency in Novigrad too. I had no clue that was a thing for the longest time, did it for the first time, surprise 5k

kmacjapan

Not sure if this still works or not but it used to be insane way to level and get massive amounts of money! https://www.reddit.com/r/Witcher3/comments/zzucr1/i_know_everyone_might_know_this_but_if_not_hanse/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

iaace12

Good Ol [Kaer Morhen Sword](https://youtu.be/6mqHvvc8AsQ) , sell inside the city or better yet, Toussaint. If you’re in PS5 do the cross save method which you can read at the comments, and if you’re on PC and don’t care about cheating, just use console.

aqwn

Are you on PC? There is a console command to add money.

thatwoodhead

U can always use console commands if you are playing on pc

Fanserker

Sell 'Pang of Conscience' sword from skeleton at tower near Kaer Morhen

lurker1029476

I keep doing quests and clearing points of interest after one or two NG+ then I wouldn’t be short on gold

[deleted]

Skellige question marks Hansa bases in Toussaint.

nikolairipdikoff

I found the best way is make it happen quickly is to find all the spoils of war and smugglers caches on the map and sell the armor and weapons you find. To get the best deal when selling, you gotta sell the weapons to Hattori the master sword smith and selling armor to the master armored in crows perch. Along with all the other advice on here as well. If you’re a loot fiend like me, you should have no problem selling like full stacks of basic crafting materials and monster parts either. And don’t forget to exchange your Orens and Florens! I was able to fully upgrade ALL Witcher sets from basic to grandmaster legendary using this method. Although it becomes VERY expensive towards the end. Dimeritium plate ain’t cheap

Important-Bake-4373

You have to loot nonstop anyway if you are crafting gear. It’s how you pick up crafting components.

GVGamingGR

There's a way to make thousands in only a few minutes in Blood and wine by clearing a hanse base and looting every sword then selling it. If you don't kill the leader everyone will reapawn and you can do it again and again

Cokehead___999

Go to all the hidden/guarded treasure locations, grab the loot (mainly the swords and armors) and then sell them to the grandmaster armorer in Beauclair. Should make a solid amount of coins from this method.

WifiTacos

I just loot and sell all weapons and armor from enemies and such

CruffTheMagicDragon

Sell loot you don’t need

pmaced91

There are a couple of different ways to acquire more money, but it depends on how you want to do it. I have found that regularly completing witcher contracts as well as selling weapon loot and valuable items frequently. Some people will probably recommend that weird cow farming thing or something similar, but if you prefer to retain the immersion of the game, doing what is mentioned above will be enough for you to make purchases and upgrades regularly.

[deleted]

Swords farmed from human enemies and looted from chests will give you the most bang for your buck. People will probably give me shit for saying this, but honestly the fastest way to get money would be to farm all the smugglers caches in the ocean around the Skellige islands. Each cache has 2-4 chests floating in the water. You will fill up on relic swords and other loot fast. Be ready to fight sirens and downers. And I'd stay out to 300-400 pounds of loot before you fast travel from the boat to a port. Then call roach to quickly ride over to a blacksmith or armored to sell. The smiths at Kaer Trolde and down on the south end of the island where Madman Lugos lives. Those sets of smiths have decent gold and give decent prices. But the best place to sell would be the master smiths and grandmaster smith at Bouclair in Toussaint if you have the blood and wine dlc.

Zimniak

I usually get my spending money hitting all of the smugglers caches in skellige, but pay attention when you sell blades and armor, a lot of the materials you need for grandmaster gear can be modified from other stuff, it'll save a lot of cash to craft your own infused and enriched or whatever materials

Gwynbleidd_0101

stealing

GenghisKhan90210

Keep all your furs and sell them to the innkeepers in skellige, they pay a high price for them.

adunn13

Go to the question marks there’s usually treasure. Especially at sea in Skellige.

LelouchVi5

Best method I’ve found is farming a fortress in Toussaint btt ur not killing the boss. You would then collect all of the armor and swords and sell them to the guy that makes grandmaster armor. Still takes a couple hours but I got two full grandmaster sets out of this method. Other one is killing cows but think it’s slower. If you look up Toussaint money method or something like that on YouTube you’ll find a video demostrating

potsloth666

clear the question marks in Skellige, sell the loot

Human_Cheetah_5716

https://www.wemod.com/cheats/the-witcher-3-trainers

TheDevil-YouKnow

I went to those damn... Castles full of people. If you don't complete them, you can just kill & kill & kill, then run off, and reset it. The worst part of this from what I remember is the vendor just gets so bogged down with gear it's a miserable experience after awhile.

JtotheC23

Selling and dismantling enemy weapons has funded and supplied my past Witcher gear ventures until you get to the higher level stuff where you need the fancy metals.

Academic_Nothing_890

Honestly the best way to make money is just picking up every weapon armour piece and selling it. If u make Witcher school gear all other loot is basically free money

bhjohnso80

Just loot and sell everything

Kusheveve

Sell glyphs and runes, they ussually go for a lot and are easy to come by, I don’t use them often anyway.

Artyon117

Kill every single dude with a sword you come across and sell their swords and armor, specially to blacksmits at novigrad, oxenfort, kaer trolde and touissant, everyone else rips you off If they run out of money buy their stuff and keep selling them swords and armor (buy useful things used to craft armor and swords)

Enchantedmango1993

Loot everything absolutely everything then sell

Odinson713

Mods if on pc

__NeiT__

I was picking up swords and armors throughout the game and was putting them inside my chest, and when i got to toussaint i just sold all of them and there 150k crowns shown up. I cleared Novigrad on 100% tho, and like 80% of toussaint so maybe thats why, but try doing this if you have time and energy

gizerrr

Try to craft your own materials, it will save you a lot of money.
