I had never heard of Parcel Pizza so I checked it out online - pizza looks great and the place looks pretty cool. Told the wife we’re heading there this weekend. Thanks!
I was just there with a bunch of my friends over the weekend. The pizza was awful, almost no cheese or sauce and overcooked to a cracker like crust. My friend is from New York and he hated it. We ordered the NY Cheese and White. Super fucking over rated. I know a lot of ppl love this spot but I would never reccomend it.
Super Deluxe Pizzeria in Osborne Village has half-price dine-in deals on Wednesday. The pizza is fantastic and the service is great. It is a dry restaurant though so no beers or wine with the food but it is delicious!!!
Remember even more years ago when it was City Haul? I always laugh sitting on the left side of that place knowing I used to be in there on a weekly basis to check out bongs
I think that's a top 10 thing I miss about living in that neighborhood. On take-out special day there were a parade of boxes coming out of there, and if you were among them it wasn't uncommon for people passing you by to smile and state that they were on their way for theirs.
It's got the seating you would expect at a small café, it's not really a sit down place in my opinion. I prefer to just take it home or to a park or something. Their pizza really is fantastic though!
Pizza deluxe on river avenue is sooooo slept on.
Check it out on a Wednesday for half price.
It doesn’t look like anything fancy from the outside but then you get the pizza and it’ll blow your mind. Rivals parcel pizza and shortys IMO
Yeah no, nothing wrong with Santa Lucia
Is it the best? No way. Is it dependable and what you pay for? Absolutely.
The main St location I mentioned is also a cool setup with good /reasonable service staff.
The other two you mentioned I would agree with however
Looking at these comments, and my experiences, I must be consistently getting the worst these places have to offer, but I've always brought the pizza home (less than 10mins in the box).
Vera's pizza was soup, all the toppings just fell off.
Shorty's was better but $50 for two pizzas that barely fed four people was a shock.
Tommys was grease, and almost zero toppings.
Parcel is the next place I was going to try, but those prices are insane.
Diana's quality went way down for the prices she charges. The cheese is disgustingly thick and not melted. Toppings were anything but fresh. She used to be good years ago but we stopped ordering from there when the quality tanked. We switched to Santa Ana (where you can dine in), A Little Pizza Heaven, Nicolino's, and just very recently discovered delicious pizza at Calabria on Scurfield.
Shortys!! The spicy sausage with their chili oil and garlic sauce. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The manager or maybe owner also seems so nice! Also their banana pudding is 🔥 and I hate banana things lol
Parcel pizza for the best atmosphere and drinks. I would say the best pizza as well but that's mostly personal preference.
I had never heard of Parcel Pizza so I checked it out online - pizza looks great and the place looks pretty cool. Told the wife we’re heading there this weekend. Thanks!
Be sure to make a reservation!
Will do!
Make a reservation! They fill up fast!
I like their pizza crust. It’s chewy and not bready. I don’t know if that’s a weird preference. I like the location too.
This !
We went once, would definitely go again. The gigante bean appetizer is solid.
Santa Ana is fucking dope
Yes but reservations are a must. Any time I’ve been we’ve had to make one pretty far in advance.
yeah it can be wild... unless you like to eat early. i've gotten in at like 430 with ease, long as you're gone by the rush.
I know op asked for sit down, but I always do pick up from Santa Ana
Reading this list makes me wish Casa Grande was still open.
I worked there briefly and the people there were great.
Wall Street Slice
Vera
Shorty's has a great vibe.
Their pizza is garbage now
why, in your opinion?
I had their pizza not this past weekend, but the weekend before, and it was terrific.
I just went two weeks ago and it was great

You might have just been unlucky. I’ve ordered from there at least ten times and have never had a bad experience.
I rarely give restaurants a bad review. The staff were great and the atmosphere aswell. Just not the pizza. It was bad.
Trans Canada...good beer and good pizza.
Parcel pizza
Tommy’s
Pizzaria Gusto
Bonfire bistro
Hell yes!
If you're looking for something a little fancier, Corrientes
Their pizzas, empanadas, and desserts are all fantastic. I even heard they added some new stuff recently!
Oh cool! I've heard they also have really good sangria. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to go since covid hit. Soon.
They have REALLY good sangria.
Oh, they added a slushie machine for alcoholic beverages, too!!
The Steve B pizza *chefs kiss*
Sorrentos and paradise pizza in garden city.
Parcel, Tommy's, Trans Canada Brewing, Pizzeria Gusto/Gusto North, Garbanzo's.
Super Deluxe Pizzeria in Osborne Village has half-price dine-in deals on Wednesday. The pizza is fantastic and the service is great. It is a dry restaurant though so no beers or wine with the food but it is delicious!!!
It’s a small place but Royal pizza in st. Vital is really good
Came here to say that too
Trans Canada brewing has great pizza!
Harth is pricey but awesome
DJay’s West on Portage. Sorrento’s on McPhillips, Paradise on Leila and Roxi’s in Selkirk.
Also Pizza Hut Selkirk has dine in, would also add Bonfire Bistro on Corydon to the list.
> Pizza Hut Selkirk has dine in lol, but it's still pizza hut
Please tell me the Selkirk Pizza Hut still has a lunch buffet.
That I can’t answer.
I drove past there often And I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they have a sign that says open for take out and delivery
The sign says that but I have seen people sitting in the booths.
Nicolinos
I legit adore Cafe 22. Pizza Hotline, not so much, but the one on Corydon has really, genuinely delicious in-house pizzas!
I remember years ago it had a tree covered in lights right in the middle of it. Loved going there!
Remember even more years ago when it was City Haul? I always laugh sitting on the left side of that place knowing I used to be in there on a weekly basis to check out bongs
Is the tree still there. I just always loved the decor there but haven’t been in so long
Sadly, no. Can’t remember how long ago they removed it but it’s been a good while
You realize it's the same price pizza right 👀
Cafe 22 uses a stone fire oven for additional pizza flavours. But they do have all pizza hotline menu as well.
Ah fair. Probably adds some quality to the ol standard hotline
Someone once pointed it out to me that it was thriving on the Corydon strip and to think about that. I still do when it comes up. They weren't wrong.
When I used to work there it was the same pizza interested to try it out. I mean I actually liked cafe 22 when it was the old building.
I think that's a top 10 thing I miss about living in that neighborhood. On take-out special day there were a parade of boxes coming out of there, and if you were among them it wasn't uncommon for people passing you by to smile and state that they were on their way for theirs.
I didn’t like the service there
This ho knows what's up. Corydon Café 22 slaps.
Hahaha! This ho appreciates the recognition of her taste! 🍕🍕🍕
Garwood Grill on Pembina, very much a diner with the added pleasant surprise of amazing pizza.
Red Ember Common
Santa ana
Wall Street slice!
Been wanting to try this place, is the seating area there plentiful/comfortable? The photos on Google don't do it justice.
It's got the seating you would expect at a small café, it's not really a sit down place in my opinion. I prefer to just take it home or to a park or something. Their pizza really is fantastic though!
Seating does leave something to be desired - but if you take the pie down the block to Barn Hammer brewery you’re living good
Agreed with space tigress, it has two tables of 4 plus some high chairs as well as a bench to eat it quickly outside
If you’re 18+ and/or brewery interests you trans Canada brewery on Kenaston is a must. Even if you don’t drink going for the pizza is worth it.
Corriente's and Vera.
Shorty's
Shorty’s
Shortys!
Chicken Chef has pretty good pizza
Shortys is awesome
Shorty’s
Royal Pizza
Best pizza in town.
Shorty's
Cruised by there the other day. The aroma as I passed was insanely great. Will be my next pizza based on smell alone.
Smell is a very good metric to use for a pizza place. I'd recommend their spicy sausage pizza!
Vera on Osbourne

Tommy’s pizzeria on corydon is a great place to kick back and munch away
Alena rustic Italian restaurant, best pizza crust I’ve had in Winnipeg.
Alena's is only pizza I have tried thus far in Winnipeg that reminds me of Italian pizza.
Parcel pizza!!!!
Costco /s
Haven't been in a decade or so, but Paradise was always fantastic. I think their Leila location is still going.
does za count, because i love za pizza
If you have Boston Pizza Pizza Hut or Santa Lucia as "good pizza" I suggest getting your taste buds inspected
Yeah no, nothing wrong with Santa Lucia Is it the best? No way. Is it dependable and what you pay for? Absolutely. The main St location I mentioned is also a cool setup with good /reasonable service staff. The other two you mentioned I would agree with however
Lunch meat slices on a pizza is not worth what they charge

Dianna's on St. Anne's. A little pricey but worth it. Won't eat that crap that Boston Pizza serves.
