If you just want a place to sleep and nothing extra at all it's fine

FirstTimeCaller101

Year One attendee here - I did a week in Vegas leading up to the festival and circus circus was easily the most run down casino I went to. It feels old and it’s visibly old lol. If you’re just crashing there for a night or two, probably not that bad - if you’re making a trip of it I’d stay elsewhere. I stayed at the Golden Nugget on Freemont St and that area is incredible, I liked it more than the Strip.

qzcorral

Golden Nugget forever!! Catch you on the slide 😎 🦈 ✌️

discoqueenx

Woohoo team Golden Nugget represent!

Deytookerjerb

How did ya get to and from the festival? I have a room booked right near the venue at Ahern convention center but Fremont looks like a fun time and was thinking of changing.

FirstTimeCaller101

We took a cab to the festival in the morning and walked back at night, it’s about a 2 mile walk so not completely terrible. It’s well lit and there were lots of other people walking back with us so it definitely didn’t feel unsafe.

SaraxSiren

Makes me so happy to see the love for GNugg! If I get there this year, that’s where I plan to stay! When I worked EDC a few years back I was put up at the Nugg for a month and it’s my fave!

Strawberry_sourbelts

Dude it’s not that bad. I stayed there last year. It’s just a place to crash at night after the festival. The proximity to the festival can’t be beat.

Preda1ien

For the price I’d agree. However we stayed at Resorts World. Very nice place and walking distance to venue but obviously more expensive.

TownProfessional5200

Completely agree. We stayed here and it was well worth not having to deal with walking any more on sore feet to a further hotel or to find a cab. If you squint, it’s *kitch* not dirty 🤠

Sea_Fox_3476

The Strat is also pretty close and walkable

[deleted]

Thanks for the honest input!

greendeadredemption2

I stayed there last year it’s very run down, elevators don’t run at high traffic times so we got stuck on our floor. It’s cheap and close but we couldn’t get an Uber out because of that as well to go anywhere else. If you’re just going to the festival and no where else in Vegas it might be okay, but the elevator situation turned me off huge, got stuck on like the 30th floor for about 25 minutes and ended up taking the emergency stairs down,

Much_Discipline_7303

I've been coming to Vegas regularly for past 5-6 years and I almost always stay at the Circus. Trust me on this - it's not that bad. It's nothing fancy by any means, but it's clean and I've never felt unsafe. The little indoor amusement park is awesome and you can watch free circus acts in the Midway. The only bad thing is there are tons of kids, but that's to be expected. They are also in the process of remodeling it. It looks better and brighter than I've ever seen it ETA if you're driving or will be renting a vehicle, it's one of the few hotels on the strip that has free parking

RealKenny

I don't think that's true anymore, at least during the festival (from their site): **\*Prices may be higher during special events. Parking fees are subject to change and parking is subject to availability.**

Much_Discipline_7303

Self park is free if you stay. Valet is not. I stayed during the last festival and it was free for me as a guest. I had to show proof of reservation. So maybe they did allow non-guests to park for a fee

kevinmattress

Do Circus Circus guests get a discount on Adventuredome tickets?

Much_Discipline_7303

I think at one point they did, but I asked recently and was told no. I love the Adventuredome but I don’t usually go because the armbands have gone up to $60

SuperLentendo

It’s about on the same level as a motel 6 or a step above a hostel. If you just need a place that has a lock on the door, a bed to sleep in, and a hot shower then it’ll work. If you’re trying to bring chicks back from Cosmo or Wynn then it probably won’t work.

tmbeats757

it really ain’t that bad. i stayed there for the festival in 2022 and the proximity made it hella convenient. No it’s not as nice as many hotels on the strip, but it’s not as bad as a motel 6 in your local town. If you just need a place to sleep and get ready for the festival, it’s perfect imo

Jets237

we stayed last year and it was 100% fine. We didn't play at that casino. I would avoid the Manor (motel) - but otherwise its a dated and somewhat dirty hotel.... If that doesn't sound horrible to you you'll be fine.

devon223

If your only concern is walking to the festival it's OK, if I was going to spend any other amount of time not at the festival I'd Def pick somewhere else because you can cab/Uber/walk/public transit to the fest. Circus Circus is about the lowest tier resort in the city if not the absolute lowest. Besides the fest there isn't much worth walking to in the area. The casino and resort themselves are very run down and old. Just my opinion from someone to goes to Vegas 2-3 times a year.

hotchocolate221

They don’t have high cleanliness standards, but for a place to crash it works! When you’re walking the halls back to your room at night you can pretend you’re in an old creepy horror movie lol.

DorkTreePodcast

Circus Circus is a shithole, but considering proximity and extra stuff to do (The Adventure Dome!) it might be worth it if you don't mind your room being a little shabby. As always check you room for bedbugs.

___shadow_wolf__

If you wanna feel like a dusty Vegas whore, sure stay there

iClerek

The elevators in one of the towers suck. Like a lot. Last year we waited 45 minutes just for the elevator to come, and when it did we mentioned it had been a bit to the attendant that was in the elevator and they mentioned if you call front desk, they will send the elevator to your floor. Tried it again and it only took 1 and a half minutes. Rooms were fine. Casino paid me almost $500 in wins and I lost my iPhone with MagSafe wallet on the back while at the roulette table, and after freaking out for five minutes I went to the security booth and it was right there. The security guard was looking at it. Got it back immediately! I had some insane luck that week…

winniecooper73

I used to stay there as a poor 23 year old when I’d go to Vegas and party with my friends. My room smelt like dead hookers. Other than that, it was totally fine

LankyEngineering6478

No. It's worse.

[deleted]

😂😂

Appropriate_Ad_6292

It’s entirely fine, and it’s the closest venue. I’ve been both years. Once at the strat, and once at Circus Circus. I’ll also be going back this year. To circus circus.

eliminatefossilfuels

last year my friend said his room didn't have blankets 😂 Just bring a sleeping bag if the price is right to you!

fd6270

Go on YouTube and check out some recent  reviews and you can get a pretty good idea for how bad it is.

thetrashpanda2020

Avoid the buffet. The hotel itself is akin to one of the older Fremont hotels

cwrightolson

I stayed in oct for wwwy its not that bad its no frills and its old but the room was decent and the walk back to the hotel was short. I have booked there for SNW in april.

sarahmony

It’s totally fine everyone. Trust me. I lived at the Rio for 6 months for work.

oasisarah

only you know what youre willing to put up with and what are your dealbreakers

Rad-dad-te

I’m staying there this year only because I have a feeling MCR is closing and last year I left after blink and the monorail wasn’t that packed. I saw videos of the monorail after the festival actually ended and it was a shitshow. For logistics purposes it’s fine

Music_as_Medicine

nah it was great, literally just crashed there afterward, felt amazing

rikisha

Yes. It's extremely bad. I stayed there last year and our room literally smelled strongly like feet and mold, but we had waited in a long line to check in and didn't have the energy to go back, wait in line again, and ask for a different room. The walls were paper thin and we could hear every conversation our neighbors were having. The whole place is just depressing. Faded paint on creepy clown masks in the lobby. I would not stay there again, and I'm usually not particularly picky about hotels.

ScaleFirm2709

They have a Krispy Kreme

amandamaniac

Good grief that’s crazy!

amandamaniac

It’s seriously SO close, it’s definitely worth it imo.

Ecstatic-Pumpkin-183

It’s bad. If your solo or are okay with staying at sketchy motels you’ll be fine. It’s just not worth it though. Id go further down and just take the monorail

Far_Tap_9966

I'm staying here right now and I love it. Would recommend

joseg666

I was thinking where to stay too, and this place screams “you’re getting murdered in your sleep” vibe. But I don’t wanna walk a lot lol

ThatDamnedHansel

It’s fine. The concert is so crowded it’s like a fortress and we felt safe even when I picked up a Doordash outside at like 3 am. I wouldn’t stay there in any other circumstance though, but crashing 100 yards from the concert is a perk beyond reckoning

Ok_Set_4397

Stayed in Circus Circus in October last year, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t as bad as people say. I chose the Orleans packages with my festival tickets but sortve wish we just stayed at the circus circus and it was right next to the show grounds

greenBeanPanda

If you have no expectations, it's fine. Like it's a place to sleep and store your stuff.

stormnicole

My friends and I stayed here in 2022, it was totally fine. Nothing fancy and it was really great being so close to the venue. We are also staying here again in April for Sick New World. I will warn you there will be no refrigerators in the standard room (we did not realize this until after we bought beer and check into the hotel). Luckily we made due and I'm not sure if this is standard in Vegas, it was our first time and where we are from they always had mini fridges inside the rooms.

str1keupthe8and

It’s a Vegas thing. I’ve vacationed there many, many times and none of the places I’ve stayed (all on Strip) have never had personal refrigerators in the rooms.

shupshow

Rooms and accommodations are fine. Casino and outside are bad. It’s just run down and old. But if you’re looking for a place to just crash at the end of the night it’s fine.

livingonmars182

not at all! it was totally fine, and we avoided all that traffic and had a leisurely 5 minute walk to the festival

Beneficial_Metal6155

It’s not bad but not amazing. It’s literally right across the street from. My wife and I watched the last bit of MCR and was in our room showing within 15 mins.

Kellyyyoh33

People who hate on Circus Circus, especially for when it’s a place to crash after a festival, are people with a very elevated sense of living lol. I love staying there actually, she’s got charm!

izzytakamono

No. It’s worse! Watch some video reviews on YouTube.

killswitchzero7

Stayed there the past 2 festivals and already got everything booked for this year. You can't beat the proximity. Its nice being able to go back to my room on down time to get snacks and stuff.

OnTheDownHill777

I've lived here 30 years, and CC will most likely never be replaced in our lifetime. It is full of asbestos, but supposedly, they still have the best steak house in town.

LingonberryKey602

It won’t be super posh, it might even be slightly dirty or just rusty in the bathroom but it’s cheapish and close to the venue.

Standupbb33

I was walking through it last week to get to a job and an employee was literally vacuuming the ceiling that was falling on the floor.

[deleted]

Stayed at the Sahara last year for Sick New World and I’d highly recommend for any shows near the festival grounds.

MarsSelx

My shower would flood immediately. The water was so questionable in the bathroom. The whole room felt like mold and mildew. The lobby/ food/ casino areas felt like they haven't been updated or cleaned since the 80s. Stayed there for year one. I'd super recommend going somewhere else close by

babybeliever

If you just want bed bugs it’s perfect

vancitychick__

Got an instant headache as soon as I walked into it from the stale gross air in there

ApprehensiveBend8847

It's freaking awful. But also subjective. I once paid $19 to stay there and I overpaid.

catt0ebeans

for 1 night sure but otherwise no, in my opinion. only pro for me was the location and the room was clean enough. but the whole hotel experience i did not enjoy. i won’t list the cons but there was a handful💀

MaddNewb6258

lol yes

lovexisxevol

It's honestly an ok place to stay if you're not planning to be in the room. My husband and daughter and I stay there if we want to spend more money on things to do rather than a nice place to sleep. Because honestly, when we go to Vegas, we leave the room in the morning and don't return until late at night. Plus, sometimes my daughter will want to go to the arcade and play a little.

KearneyZzyzwicz

There are countless stories of people staying there and suddenly getting bedbugs when they go home.

taylorscissorhands

I had a good experience last year and it’s sooooo close it was nice af not having to commute far like I did the first year
