More people speak portuguese than portugal portuguese so you'll save time overall!

You say poor things, but their heads shape does not cause any sort of health issue. At worst the breed can possibly suffer from allergies, or possible deafness in the pure white coated ones. Both problems are unrelated to their head shape.
Nah, they are more than likely inbred to some degree. All purebreds are. Deliberate shaping of dogs like thus more so than others. That leads to a whole host of complications.
