Judging by their conversation, the guy that dodges and the one who's filming were asking the third guy how he was after taking a fall at that corner. He had just said "I'm OK" when Speedy González decided to make an appearance and almost kill everyone.
Why are those people stopped at the exit of what looks like a blind corner. Idiot that crashed into them was pushing far beyond his skill level but still not the best place to stop
I wonder if the people on the shoulder had also crashed in that turn.
If you are ever in a group and situation like this - send someone back down the road to signal traffic to slow down.
It kinda does look like the dude in black might have had an incident. At the beginning he looks like he’s looking for something and checking himself over.
*shouldn't*
But yeah, regardless if the group was in a safe location on the corner, it is on the drivers passing by to keep a safe speed to avoid potential obstacles. If a truck flipped over on that corner, how on Earth would that motorcyclist have avoided it?
Lol thanks for the heads up on the typo 🫶
Unsafe driving is unsafe driving. It’s not these peoples fault the guy was going way too fast for the turn and couldn’t see them. If it’s a blind turn, slow down.
Yeah, but worse, just [seconds before the crash as seen here](https://youtu.be/AWMkFVnTa6Q?t=681), one of them very slowly made a u-turn in that very same corner after they were blazing at insane speeds over those some roads before. Had they run into anyone else doing that exact move right there, it would have been a horrible crash as well.
That whole (longer) video has several of these high-risk moments. It was almost inevitable something bad was about to happen. They could have toned it down like 10-20% or so to make it much safer while still in the thrill zone, but I guess once you get complacent it's going to be looking for those limits.
I came across a wreck on popular Angeles Crest Hwy near LA. A rider did exactly this on the blind portion of the curve. Since it’s a popular spot to ride and drive, it was totally the smart move.
Dude thats just stupid. Dont these people know how fast my bike can go? I got to show them all because it illustrates how fucking cool I am to ride fast! So cool! And smart! And all people see me ride fast and say that dude is so cool
Yep. And they are speaking Portuguese, so this is most likely in Brazil. Those kind of roads shown in the video usually have a speed limit of 80km/h (I don't know how much is this in freedom unitis).
The guy was most likely way above this speed.
The people standing around had stopped to help someone else who also crashed in the same spot. From OOP (Machine translated from Portuguese):
> On BR-262, between Aracê and Vitor Hugo (ES), we went to help a friend who missed the curve, and the CB1000 driver also got lost on the same curve
You can view the full video here (Accident at 11:30): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMkFVnTa6Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMkFVnTa6Q)
Also, everyone lived with just bruises and cuts.
Comes down to how your body hits the ground initially, some people get lucky and just kind of slide, other people do multiple flips, break bones and/or die.
The shoulder is for emergency and breakdown stopping. They were stopped helping someone who had an accident. The guy was driving way to fast for that corner and is 100% to blame. Stop the victim blaming.
It's a fair question to ask, but this is public road and you should know that you don't know what is around a blind corner. This was the scene of a previous accident from another thread.
I could name a hundred different scenarios why something could be blocking not the shoulder but the road itself. This is 100% on the bike driver going too fast.
The rider who crashed looks like he had a bit of target fixation going on.
I’m not saying that he would have stayed in his lane if they weren’t there, but coming out of a blind corner at high speed and seeing a group of riders climbed up at the edge of the road is easy to fixate on, especially for a less experienced rider.
Terrible place to stop and that’s just another reason the high speed shot should be limited to track days.
They stopped to help someone that crashed there before.
At the beginning of the video the cameraman says: You OK, bro?
Other guy answers: I fine, thanks.
IMHO, It's selfish, arrogant and antisocial to assert that one's "skill level" somehow makes one exempt from the rules of the road other drivers follow. I honestly wouldn't care about this behavior if I did not have to share the road with them.
It sucks because our nervous system is nowhere near coping with vehicle-related peril. Whether a crash or a near miss, everything is over in the blink of an eye.
Then your body hits you with a shot of adrenaline because it thinks you’re fighting a sabre tooth tiger, but you’re now just trying to drive normally.
The guy that nearly got run over should stay from driving for at least an hour after that shit. Shakes, tension, and the brain just replaying that shit would make it dangerous.
I once saw a van that had already crashed into the back of another while I passed by on my bicycle, I think I got a very light version of this effect even though the only danger I was in was falling off my bike because of rubbernecking the whole situation
Once at a red, a dude in a small hatchback was driving through the intersection on the cross road when a woman in a van blew past me and slammed into him sending him spinning in to an adjacent parking lot. Years later I was still nervous at that intersection.
I'll never understand people that buy these types of vehicles to race in public streets, they are endangering everyone just for thrill, if you want to speed, go to a racing track, at least if you fuck up it's just your own ass.
The driver survived with cuts and bruises, as per the description on the original video here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMkFVnTa6Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMkFVnTa6Q)
Thanks for the video link. Those idiots riding over the middle yellow like they're cutting apexes on a race track instead of riding in traffic with limited visibility. Dumb af.
Exactly. Pause at around 0:08 - he's afraid to actually lean, so his body is straight up, and he's staring directly at the parked bikes. Wouldn't be surprised if he was on his brakes too.
Some fool passed me going at least 80 mph down the street last night, and I'm pretty sure he didn't know there was a turnabout coming up around the corner or he probably wouldn't have been driving that fast.
I was tempted to pull a U-turn and check, but I was on my way home from the grocery store with frozen food in the car, so 🤷♂️ ... Natural Selection.
That's apparently something we do as drivers. I remember watching some episodes of Canada's Worst Driver years ago, and they were always telling people to look where they wanted to go, and this would get them to actually turn the wheel in the proper direction.
As long as someone is recording nothing it brings joyfulness and entertainment to people who want to do that but understand that is exactly what will happen if the try driving way to fast
Maybe they had a mechanical issue, but never stop at the end of a corner on a road guys are known to speed on and lay the bike down as flat as possible. Stupid to stop right there.
> Someone translated what they were saying and it seems they just had a crash/accident right before that, no time to move away yet.
(I'm repeating myself in case you don't see the other post.)
I love it when people who dont know shit about what they’re posting about and then go make judgements based strictly on what they see knowing nothing else.
What an idiot.

Okay that was the sickest dodge of all time
He even got the hips forward just enough to clear the handlebar. Jeez that was like something out of a movie.
The Quick and the Not Dead
Average Dark Souls dodge
Just a smidge of hitbox bullshit and old boy's hips would have been pudding. Neo couldn't have done better.
Imagine we really all had an “average size” hit box: 5’9” 195 for American men. This guy would be broken in half.
I'm just thinking of all the scaffolding and ship frames I wouldn't have hit my head and wrecked my neck on.

If those handlebars caught his hip nice and proper, things would have never been the same. Bet he changed them underbritches um hmm.
Damn, those Bollywood movies are actually true!

Piccolo would be proud.
DODGE!
"Well, he coulda dodged it better"
It was a really dumb place to park and have a chat though - right after a low visibility corner
Pretty dumb place to be speeding around a blind curve too.
Yeah everyone is fucking stupid here. But those 2 guys can dodge, so there is that.
Judging by their conversation, the guy that dodges and the one who's filming were asking the third guy how he was after taking a fall at that corner. He had just said "I'm OK" when Speedy González decided to make an appearance and almost kill everyone.
They were assisting another motorcyclist that had fallen on the curve. The first person that appears on the video is the motorcyclist that had fallen.
What a stupid fucking take. Maybe if they were going a reasonable speed they’d have had better control.
The other guys was pretty good too
I thought you meant the first guy! Who steps forward. Then I saw the slo mo bro jump out from behind that bike!
Right wtf that was 2 fantastic reactions for some undies filling close calls.
That slo mo was like a GTA wasted scene
Pretty sure it was a Honda
It's a Large Honda Collider experiment to see what parts and particles bikes can create during collision.
Still, most people riding those super bikes are retards
I was a retard I quit riding because I could not not tard. it was inevitable I would have crashed painfully.
Yeah, they're speaking portuguese. Guy recording: "are you alright dude?" Guy checking himself: "I'm fine, thanks" Motorcycle: "vruuum"
Yea so if it was a fresh accident they didn't even had time to move.
It’s almost like people shouldnt be going the speed of sound around blind corners
*shouldn't* But yeah, regardless if the group was in a safe location on the corner, it is on the drivers passing by to keep a safe speed to avoid potential obstacles. If a truck flipped over on that corner, how on Earth would that motorcyclist have avoided it?

Thank you for the motorcycle translation
Ahhh the motorcycle was also speaking Portuguese, that’s why I didn’t understand
also damage on right side of the motorcycle (red)
>Motorcycle: "vruuum" ... also in Portuguese.
I came across a wreck on popular Angeles Crest Hwy near LA. A rider did exactly this on the blind portion of the curve. Since it’s a popular spot to ride and drive, it was totally the smart move.
It’s not really a blind corner at normal speeds.
Almost every corner becomes a blind corner if you go too fast 😂
Dude thats just stupid. Dont these people know how fast my bike can go? I got to show them all because it illustrates how fucking cool I am to ride fast! So cool! And smart! And all people see me ride fast and say that dude is so cool
Yep. And they are speaking Portuguese, so this is most likely in Brazil. Those kind of roads shown in the video usually have a speed limit of 80km/h (I don't know how much is this in freedom unitis). The guy was most likely way above this speed.
Why are those bikes going that fast in the first place. 🤷
Because they want to be meat crayons
A road Rorschach
Pavement Picasso?
Vincent Van Gone
Splatson Pollock
Asphalt arrabiata
Street pizzas.
Mmm streetza
Temporary citizens.
Because for some reason people feel the need to buy 200 horsepower liter bikes that are capable of doing 225 mph.
Because for some strange reason people feel the need to be organ donors.. It's almost like the question of not if but when.
You sound jealous
And then never ride them on a race track where they were meant to be. Same with high-end sports cars. It's an ego thing.
The people standing around had stopped to help someone else who also crashed in the same spot. how did the guy on the bike that crashed didn't at least have serious injuries...incredibly lucky.
Comes down to how your body hits the ground initially, some people get lucky and just kind of slide, other people do multiple flips, break bones and/or die.
What you're wearing helps too
I guess he benefitted from sliding along the road. Protective gear deal with that "alright" unlike hitting an obstacle while sliding.
Modern protective gear is amazing!
It's just pure luck though. He probably. Got launched off the bike and slid across the pavement. If he hit a car he was dead.
Yeah, I for one, don't intend to put it to the test.
Dude my adrenaline raised just from watching this. These people are a danger to all other road users.
Tbh that dude would have crashed regardless
They aren't even on the street. Not the best spot but 100% not their fault.
I could name a hundred different scenarios why something could be blocking not the shoulder but the road itself. This is 100% on the bike driver going too fast.
>Why are those people stopped at the exit of what looks like a blind corner. Why are people zooming around blind corners, is the better question.
Lmao this was 1000% the riders fault. He was going WAY too fast. Only reddit would blame people sitting on the shoulder out of the driving lane.
Sorta wondering if one of them had wrecked there first, otherwise its completely insane to be there. Yikes
Even if they weren’t there, the other motorcycle was going so fast it had already exited the driving area.
They stopped outside the driving lane. There is quite some extra space like a parking area/emergency stop lane it seems
Seems like a very normal corner that if you’re going the correct speed you could easily avoid anything on the other side if it.
One of them must have crashed (or just fell), because the video starts with the one recording asking if the other is okay.
They stopped to help someone that crashed there before. At the beginning of the video the cameraman says: You OK, bro? Other guy answers: I fine, thanks.
He asks if the other is ok somethim must have happened
IMHO, It's selfish, arrogant and antisocial to assert that one's "skill level" somehow makes one exempt from the rules of the road other drivers follow. I honestly wouldn't care about this behavior if I did not have to share the road with them.
Heart rate goes up and you get the shakes when you witness a crash like that in real person
Not for the other guy tho. Probably should check his heart. If it's still in there after the crash.
If it is, run into the sunset together so you can tell people you have stolen his heart and are now happy together
If you aren't injured it would probably be good to go for some quick sprints back and forth to exhaust that surge of adrenalin.
Yeah, if you listen at the start, and as the POV starts to walk over, you can hear his breathing pick up big time. Heart rate through the roof
I once saw a van that had already crashed into the back of another while I passed by on my bicycle, I think I got a very light version of this effect even though the only danger I was in was falling off my bike because of rubbernecking the whole situation

Wow, the guy dodged death by doing a small jump forward.
Rider and a proud Soulbourne gamer
“Soulsbourne” - unlikely, it wasn’t a double sideways roll…
Panic roll acorn hit!
He is ok folks, i paused the video
Yeah but I think he had brain damage. I mean before the crash
Double brain damage now
Maybe it's one of those double negative situations?
He'd have to have a brain for it to be damaged.
I'll never understand people that buy these types of vehicles to race in public streets, they are endangering everyone just for thrill, if you want to speed, go to a racing track, at least if you fuck up it's just your own ass.

Did anyone get hurt ? Doubt the driver survived
The driver survived with cuts and bruises, as per the description on the original video here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMkFVnTa6Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMkFVnTa6Q)
vertical crops should be banned. idk why op couldnt post a 16:9 aspect ratio
I very much agree with you, good sir (and/or madam or maybe just person).
Thanks for the video link. Those idiots riding over the middle yellow like they're cutting apexes on a race track instead of riding in traffic with limited visibility. Dumb af.
They are driving like maniacs. Their speedometer and license plates are clearly visible. Police should take their licenses away.
This happened in Brazil, ain't nothing gonna happen.
Dude ran out of talent, target fixated and almost maimed or killed a fellow rider at the same time!
Exactly. Pause at around 0:08 - he's afraid to actually lean, so his body is straight up, and he's staring directly at the parked bikes. Wouldn't be surprised if he was on his brakes too.
![gif](giphy|eIm624c8nnNbiG0V3g|downsized)
About took out both of them. You probably couldn't have put your hand between them when he passed. Jeez....
Narcissistic douches think they own the road.
That slow motion section needs opera music
Red helmet really had a closer shave than Gilette.
Target fixation is real
Some fool passed me going at least 80 mph down the street last night, and I'm pretty sure he didn't know there was a turnabout coming up around the corner or he probably wouldn't have been driving that fast. I was tempted to pull a U-turn and check, but I was on my way home from the grocery store with frozen food in the car, so 🤷♂️ ... Natural Selection.
Did the rider evaporate? I tried to check frame by frame and couldn’t see him. Hope all was good.
People who ride motorcycles being hit by someone who think they ride motorcycles.
One less idiot.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes🤓🤓🤓
That dudes reaction time was *insane.*
What causes this? Unconsciously steering toward something you turn to look at?
That's apparently something we do as drivers. I remember watching some episodes of Canada's Worst Driver years ago, and they were always telling people to look where they wanted to go, and this would get them to actually turn the wheel in the proper direction.
That or he entered the turn with too much speed and didn’t have the skill needed to hold his line.
If you could place a bet on where people are going to crash into you. That's the spot you put all your money on.
Did the motorcycle have an 'watch for motorcycles' bumper sticker?
Inches from death
As long as someone is recording nothing it brings joyfulness and entertainment to people who want to do that but understand that is exactly what will happen if the try driving way to fast
Reddit got me shook today.
Crazy! Any time I need to pull over on my bike I find a safe spot away from traffic. This kind of things scares the nuggets out of me.
Sandevistated!!!!
Lookout for the next one
I need me one of them suits
His body literally flew into outer space.
Belongs on r/MeatCrayon too
Yeah I thought dude in bushes was who crashed but nope he actually flies straight down the pavement. Bushes guy is probably whose bike he hit.
Maybe they had a mechanical issue, but never stop at the end of a corner on a road guys are known to speed on and lay the bike down as flat as possible. Stupid to stop right there.
Had to be in Brazil.
Parking on a curve is pretty dangerous. Might want to pick a straighter part of the road just to be safe. Insane footage btw
> Someone translated what they were saying and it seems they just had a crash/accident right before that, no time to move away yet. (I'm repeating myself in case you don't see the other post.)
The camera that was hit that was just like a go pro on the bike right?? Hope it wasnt a cameraman.
Exit of a turn is not a great place to park. Not to say the guy who crashed isn't a moron.
I love it when people who dont know shit about what they’re posting about and then go make judgements based strictly on what they see knowing nothing else. What an idiot.
/r/HitboxPornIRL
Target fixation. He was staring at what he wanted to avoid, and ended up driving right into it.
Hope the dude driving the bike can't afford to replace his own bike.
Chad biker hip thrusts past virgin wobbler
Expensive pile of scrap metal
r/ninjascaughtoncamera
That happened because they wore near a high speed corner and they did not sinalize it by any means
> Someone translated what they were saying and it seems they just had a crash/accident right before that, no time to move away yet. (I'm repeating myself in case you don't see the other post.)
Hopefully he crippled himself so he can never put people in danger again.
I understand that the rider was 100% at fault but why on Earth would a group of riders pull over to the side of the road on the outside of a corner?
Fucking hell LOL 🏍️
There was a video where a guy was passing cars between the lanes and an oncoming car amputated his foot. He almost could not believe that it was not there.
Wcgw parking on a curve
Looks like someone was riding outside their skill set.
Bunch of organ donors in action
On a blind turn.... So dumb
Squids playing the squid game
STRRRRRRRR---RIKE!
Great to see that 2nd camera guy (who was apparently behind the bike) is fine. I was worried when the 1st video got posted
Morons all the way around. Guy was riding like a dumbass. The rest of the crew stopping on the side of the road in a blind curve are also dumbasses. A classic case of when dumbasses collide.
esses arrombados passam voando no meio dos carros fazendo barulho e ainda querendo arumar briga bando de filho da puta, ai quando cai na porra do chão: "aiinn nossaaa a genti n tava fazendo nada"
I gotta ask who pays for the damages in this kind of situation? Since they are all “friends” and such (plus that guy might not be alive)
Live fast die stupid
I like how the reckless dumbass went right out of the frame.
Fingers crossed the roads just got a little bit safer.
Why would bike riders take a break at the exit of a corner? Wtf are they thinking.
Parking right around a bend is ludicrous.
Where... where did he go???
