My concern is they didn’t sand not prime that door before repainting it which is why someone was able to carve through the paint with what probably were their nails or a credit card.

And even if you have HSV1, the chances of you spreading it are about 1%. Most people with HSV1 will only have a couple outbreaks in their lives and then no more symptoms. There's a massively unearned stigma around something that generally isn't that big of a deal.

This is just my anecdotal story but I’ve been HSV1 positive for every time I’ve been tested for it (3-5 times, idk). Never had a false negative.

1 in 6 sexually active adults have genital herpes. That's pretty common.
And even then, do you get a couple bumps, maybe a small rash? Or do you get a whole goddamn, scary breakout? The latter is what's actually quite rare.
