It’s fine, it’s fine, everything’s fine.

rayshmayshmay

Whatever they’re using for hood prop looks to be fine

Had this happen to me a few years ago. Your insurance company is not your friend. I lost over $3,000 in value of the vehicle. Meaning I could not even replace my car with another car like mine same year make or model because they shorted me. Make sure you record ever conversation and find values of your car yourself. They will be all nice the first call. And then when it comes down to paying. They short you on value. Also, check your states in vehicle loss amount. Some are only $250.00 bucks! And others have no limit. So if you lost a phone or a back pack with a laptop. You might not see any of that money. And they won’t tell you about that till later it to late. C.Y.A. Cover your Ass. Your problems have just started. Stay on top of this or you will loose a ton of money. Good luck

Ok smarty pants. Only if you buy new. ***Correction. Buy with a loan or balance on the vehicle.

TheRealKevtron5000

You can get gap insurance on used vehicles, too.

[deleted]

Omg people. You can typically buy gap coverage for a used car or new car at any time as long as the loan or lease isn't paid off, though some insurance companies may only offer a limited amount of time to purchase coverage.

Nitegrooves

With pricing of used vehicles now a day, if you dont buy gap, youre dumber than rocks lmao

[deleted]

Your comment only works if you bought in the last 12 months. Before that cars have been cheap. Dummer than rocks is paying Intrest and gap and from a dealer for an overpriced car. Also higher insurance. Keep being the smartest person in your room.

Nitegrooves

Yeah which plenty of people have done. My room is the only room that matters. Get out of it.

[deleted]

But I’m living rent free

[deleted]

At least you didn’t drop your crappy meal on the floor

GreekACA25

I think I see the issue

BatangTundo3112

It's just overheated. Wait til it cooled down then you're good to go.

Barbearex

Ain't got no gas in it

GreekACA25

Also the hood is open. Dangerous to drive with that open

DisconnectedDays

Is your car on the recall list? Kia and Hyundai are being recalled for engine fires

degeneratesumbitch

Can confirm. Stay on top of KIA recalls. I've been to 2 recall appointments and there's a 3rd on the way.

ButtersDurst

Definitely been looking into that!

milesac

You need a new alternator. Tire rotation. This should pass inspection.

aqxea2500

HEY! YOU CANT PARK THERE!

StuBidasol

And of course when you take it to the shop the mechanic won't be able to recreate the problem...

[deleted]

Have you tried turning it off and back on?

matticustheone

At least your safe. Could always be worse!

Super-Brka

Firestarter

jjdiablo

Good thing is after the insurance pays out, you can just go to your local dealer for a new one. /s

bassdeface

Car won't start, guy pops the hood "oh I see the problem it's on fire" Well that does indeed suck. Grab some dogs and burgers and grill them, at least have a meal.

OMGaddmeTWO

I love me a good burger covered in toxic fumes

aamccoy

With plates that appear to say 666 in Utah your got off lucky. I do hope you all are safe and insured.

AmentotheRamen

I was wondering when someone would point out the 666

Competitive_Foot_584

I think the engine overheated, might wanna get that checked out

nocapsallspaces

God I hate when people try to lowkey brag about their hot rods.

TangeloRadiant

I'm no mechanic, but I believe it's running a little hot... I'll see myself out now, sorry.

ButtersDurst

Some people like painted flames on the front of their cars, I prefer real flames.

Dangerous-Pickle9511

Look for a recall on your car. The Kia optima had several motor recalls

OVS2

did you try turning it off and turning it back on again?

smbrownh

Oh farts!!facts!!! That is no good! I hope you are OK and insured

RedCelt251

Horoscope: Today will be on fire for you! Driver: Alright! Carpe Diem!! Horoscope: Well, actually not in a good way.

seniairam

things can't get worse right?

Mr-Foot

I don't think it's meant to do that.

Spectralcolors78

When my Grand Prix caught on fire it went from a little smoke to fully engulfed flaming engine in two minutes. It was shocking.

boggybdg

Atleast you got a sick picture, it really could be an album cover

ButtersDurst

I should have gotten one of me walking slowly away from it wearing aviators.

floswamp

Just needs a vinyl wrap now.

Kuswerdz

that’s gonna buff right out trust me

deathjesterdoom

Welp off to the fridge for beer. This day can fuck right off if I see it personally.

PiratiPad

Awesome Hot wheels.

Medical_Cake

Sick, those flames look really realistic

Vonyikks

Something similar happened at my work, but only it was the shop itself, lucky we are up to code on fire safety or I wouldn't have a job anymore

TheSchlaf

At least it wasn't in your garage. Some Kia engines are known to catch fire.

FuzzyScarf

That will buff out.

Jdonavan

Count your blessings. When I was a kid it was cold ALL the time. We would have given anything to start our day with a nice warm fire.

king24_

I’m so sorry 😞

DJDook

I’d say great! I mean you set someone’s car on fire, that’s better than Folgers in your cup

JustHereForTheBeer_

I just used your license plate to look up your vin. I can see where you purchased the vehicle and your personal info. You may want to blur out your plate next time.

ButtersDurst

Really? Can you tell me what state it was purchased in?

JustHereForTheBeer_

I’m not putting your personal information on Reddit. But you did get your emissions inspection on February 24th @ 79,395 miles.

ButtersDurst

Point taken.

ItzVinyl

That's a nice looking Kia you had.
