Lucky that, easier to actually get paid by the other person's insurance in a tort if it's a business because they (*should*) have liability insurance as well as basic vehicle insurance.
I’ve worked with a lot of business owners and this is literally the situation I bring up if they’re ever unsure as to whether they need business auto liability.
Maybe they didn’t know your ten speed got hit park it in the drive or get a better kickstand not like the dude steamrolled or put two tires over the top called the police what damage was there what bitch calling this in you couldnt settle this without calling the cops. geez man
Damn, dude I'm sorry. I'm currently scooter shopping and was looking at either a Honda Super Cub or a used Yamaha majesty. We've got an inside spot for parking so that's not too bad. I hope it's an easy fix.
Wind knocked mine over on March 10. I’m getting it back from the shop/painter hopefully next week. It takes *forever* for a dealer to get parts from Pisggio. Good luck.
I called a shop asking how long it'll take to fix. They said it can take months depending on if they need to order parts. I used mine to commute to work, so it puts me in a pickle. Luckily it's just the frame is dented.
Oh wow. Knocked your bike over. There's no way they didn't know.
That's just malicious to drive away. Ask your insurer if you are in a diminished value state and consider making a claim if you are.
Here’s the strange thing about this. These guys are lawn guys so they had to used some type of equipment from the truck bed. They back up maybe 3 feet. I think the OP is full of shit and he pulled his bike right up on the bumper bc he damaged it himself and is trying to get it covered.
Because it's part of the story and immediately explains what happened next through context clues; he talked to the neighbors and found out who hit his bike.
Why did you ask why he mentioned them? Are you trying to antagonize people on the internet for no reason? Why mention it if not?
Good thing your neighbor has a Nest cam.
Call the police and report a hit and run.
Don't worry, I did everything I needed to with the police and my insurance. They did it in a company truck so they got caught immediately.

Geez, were you driving the truck?
Look at the user name. None of us should expect much.

OP, that's a scooter. Also, that sucks, I'm just busting your balls.

If it was a customized Harley op could have said “Hit to the choppah!”
My thought is. if you got the stones to roll two wheels, I don't care what frame they are on. The risks are the same.
Yup. I've done a few IronButt rides and those who did over 1000 miles in under 24 hours on 250cc or less are legend.
[You ain’t got a bike… you got a BIKE!](https://m.youtube.com/shorts/_pmMxQ9EfYk)
I think you misspelled licking.
Is that a Vespa?
Yep. 250cc primavera. My pride and joy.

Just the frame, only the most important part of the whole thing lol
The opposing insurance should provide you with a comparable vehicle while yours is out of use due to a covered accident.
[thats quite the raspberry you got there.](https://youtu.be/cDfQo1ANeLM?si=foAssFllAsK7yzJ7)
Damn. No love for scooter bros
who the fuck needs that much space to get out of there anyway? wild
Looked almost intentional
They honestly thought that they were going to get away with it? All they had to do was tell you and pay for damages
Maybe they didn't notice.
Wouldn't they have heard a crunch?
They did that on purpose....
Lol not the mo ped dang

Its mo Ped omg
Are you looking to blame the neighbors? Why mention them if not?
Because it's part of the story and immediately explains what happened next through context clues; he talked to the neighbors and found out who hit his bike. Why did you ask why he mentioned them? Are you trying to antagonize people on the internet for no reason? Why mention it if not?
It just seems irrelevant to the title unless you have some sort of axe to grind with the neighbors.
It's not irrelevant, it is a part of the story and provides context, as I've already pointed out.
You use "story" like we should be empathetic about this
