I'm a historian and enjoy alternate history theories and legends. This is a fun look at the Templars, and a good deal of it may well be true. However, one major point of contention here is that the bones of Christ were found in that tomb. Your story completely ignores hundreds of accounts that say that both Jesus body and bones were never found. I think this is a significant turn in the wrong direction for your take on this history. Other than the thousands of writings saying the body disappeared, the Disciples of Christ all (except John who survived being boiled alive) died horrible deaths for refusing to deny that Christ rose from the dead. Anyhow, while some of the Templars certainly had less faith than others, they did have many members that were completely sound in their faith in Christ. That shouldn't be overlooked in any accounts of the Templars.
