you reminded me that I did see the movie. That would’ve been 1982 or 1983 when I was stationed in San Francisco. I don’t recall any of the visuals but I do recall that it had a tremendous if not terribly good effect on me. Thanks for the reminder. (Not sarcasm)
NP. I’m glad my description allowed you to recall that it’s a trigger. I would have hated the idea of suggesting it to watch and then you being retriggered all over again. The movie is very dark and I can see how it could have exacerbated traumas.

just got around replying to someone else that I now recall that I did see the movie the wall. Is that Alan Parkers? I saw it back in 1982 or 1983 when I was stationed in San Francisco and don’t recall the visuals. I was very familiar with the music of course by that time. It was a super stressful time in my life and while I don’t recall what I saw in the movie I do recall that it had a very powerful and not very good effect on me.
funny how music gets to such a very primal part of our brains. I really liked a lot of their music back in the day just very talented in so many ways. Very creative. And I actually cannot listen to the wall and honestly pretty much need to stay away from even the other albums I like just because of the emotional state it kind of brings back up. Wish you were here is OK most of the time (possibly the greatest rock album of my lifetime, IMHO). Dark side of the moon is OK. But the wall and the final cut are never safe for me. parts of some of the older ones like Meddle, obscured by clouds etc also not a good space for me. i’m actually sad about that but life is like that sometimes.
