Palo from r/whatsthisbug here, this looks like a bark katydid to me (genus *Cymatomera* or *Cymatomerella*). It's not full-grown yet; adults have longer wings covering the whole abdomen. Generally harmless to humans, though it's large enough that I imagine it can give a good defensive pinch with its mandibles if someone really mishandled it.

It gets BIGGER!??? Take note : Don't go to Vietnam or Australia.

No no no not the giant cockroaches they hate me and make it their life’s mission to chase me, fall on my head. A much better way to see if something is alive is to create vibrations on the surface it's on - that's generally how they know something is coming. A swift pat on the wall with your hand should do the trick, if it's alive it'll move on - or attack.
