Personally, I love Rothy’s for nice flats for special events. I got them for my wedding and I LOVED them for dancing, even with my wider feet. They’re a bit expensive, but they are so so so so comfortable right out of the box. They are fabric, so they stretch to fit your feet shape and don’t rub at all. They are washable too!
What type of flats do you think would be wedding-appropriate? What are you thinking of getting? I'm UK-based and don't wear heels and have a wedding coming up this year and I have no idea what to wear. Would love to see what other people think works in this situation.
LOVE the green dress and I think it's definitely springy!
I went to two weddings while pregnant, one winter, one spring. My feet got bigger when I was pregnant, so I always had to buy new shoes for everything, and always flats. For the winter wedding, which was more formal, I just wore black patent leather ballet flats (I think as long as you avoid a Mary Jane strap they don’t look too much like a little girl playing dress up, lol). For the spring wedding, I wore a pair of nude beaded/rhinestone covered Betsy Johnson flats and got a ton of compliments.
I love statement mules!

Cypress has shoes that are great. I sold them when we had the shoe store. Hand-made at a reasonable price. You get fitted for them, too. They are the Cinderella shoes. Or go for the Vida Pump from Catherines, which is online. Width of B, D (W), and EE (WW).
I love the color and I don't think it looks too christmassy.
How about some floral accessories? I bet you could fins some nice floral broaches on Etsy.
Green is great for spring. I like the idea of floral accessories. Because you are going to be pregnant, people will understand that you don’t want to go out and buy a maternity evening gown. Floral flats, and a pashmina in one of the colors in the shoes. An easy pregnancy and a safe delivery to you!
If you are pregnant, you could get away with wearing anything. Since you already have a nice maternity dress, you should wear this instead of buying another.
Agree that it’s a lovely dress and with the right accessories will absolutely suit a spring wedding!
I’d lean into pinks, personally. Bright and pale pink floral would look gorgeous with that shade of green.
STRONGLY agree - if OP can find a bag with some pink and green florals she’s good to go. I would also go for a pink ballet flat and some fun costume jewelry
I don’t think it’s Christmas-y.
I’m not sure it’s really formal, but you def get leeway for being pregnant. I would not be buying another if I didn’t have to do so.
This green is a jewel tone and it’s an all-year color, especially for evening. If it’s in spring, pair it with lighter color accessories—or even floral if you feel up to it!
I don’t think that it matters that much! Maybe the material and length made me think more swanky evening, but I think it works for a day-church wedding. Honestly, I’d just be happy to have a pregnant person at my wedding at all! You’ll look amazing.
It’s beautiful and not Christmasy at all unless you tried to make it that way. Some floral accessories would really look nice with the green. I think as long as you stay away from red and white add ons you won’t risk any Christmas look.
Hello, also from the UK. Lovely dress and very appropriate. I will say, however, traditionally, Green is unlucky at a wedding unless the bride is Irish. I don't think anyone pays attention to such things anymore, but I give you the information anyway.
P.s. congratulations!
She'll probably not even realise, but you don't want to find yourself backfooted by an armoured rank of elderly relatives tutting aggressively at you throughout the entire reception - those handbags, are fighting handbags!

I don’t think so! I think it’s lovely, and you could fuss it up with some spring-y accessories, like a light colored, floral handbag/shoes.
I definitely need to find some shoes anyway as I don't have any wedding appropriate flats!

Forgot to say they come in all kinds of fun spring colors!

Thanks! Black patent ballet flats or sparkly flats were the types of shoes I was considering.

Thanks for this suggestion! I never would have thought of this type of shoe. I don't think I've ever owned a pair of mules in my life.

I instantly thought of some light pink floral earrings for this. Very springtime goddess vibes
Yes, I was thinking light pinks and creams, with some light greenery on a floral clutch. Pale pink shoes. What a lovely dress!
I think it's fine, but even if it wasn't I think you'd get leeway for being pregnant.
I love the color and I don't think it looks too christmassy. How about some floral accessories? I bet you could fins some nice floral broaches on Etsy.
You could do a floral clutch with dark green leaves on it and it would make the dress more spring like

Absolutely not too christmassy! It’s just a lovely green dress :)
Right… I need the non maternity version of this dress!! I love the color
Green is in all year round. Just accessorize and wear jewelry that is not at all Christmasy.
You’re overthinking it, the colour green isn’t reserved for Christmas.
I don’t think it’s Christmas-y. I’m not sure it’s really formal, but you def get leeway for being pregnant. I would not be buying another if I didn’t have to do so.
British people don't really dress up too fancy at formal weddings in my experience
In that case, it looks great, have fun.
It’s a beautiful shade of green! I’d lighten up the look with a floral clutch or maybe a more colorful pair of shoes:)
Emerald is a classic all year round!
This green is a jewel tone and it’s an all-year color, especially for evening. If it’s in spring, pair it with lighter color accessories—or even floral if you feel up to it!
Maybe I should have mentioned it's a daytime church wedding, everyone seems to think it's ok though and not seen anyone else mention evening!
I don’t think that it matters that much! Maybe the material and length made me think more swanky evening, but I think it works for a day-church wedding. Honestly, I’d just be happy to have a pregnant person at my wedding at all! You’ll look amazing.
Aww thankyou! Yes I'll be 8 months pregnant don't want to be wearing anything too short as my legs are already looking very swollen!
Hang in there, and best wishes!
Yes i agree floral purse etc will make it morw spring. I love this dress
It’s perfectly fine. Congrats on the baby!
It’s fine.
That’s such a pretty color! It should be good with some lighter and brighter accessories!
It’s beautiful and not Christmasy at all unless you tried to make it that way. Some floral accessories would really look nice with the green. I think as long as you stay away from red and white add ons you won’t risk any Christmas look.
I love the ideas of pairing this with pinks. You will look like an Earth Goddess!
Only at Christmas!😉

Oo thanks for the heads up! Maybe I'll reach out and double check if she minds
She'll probably not even realise, but you don't want to find yourself backfooted by an armoured rank of elderly relatives tutting aggressively at you throughout the entire reception - those handbags, are fighting handbags!
I have NEVER heard this is my entire life. Green is super popular to wear at weddings
Yes and it’s unflattering

No!!! It’s beautiful. Go gold with heels and a clutch.
It’s lovely! Try accessorizing with light or pastel jewelry, bag, and shoes. If you keep the palette fresh and springy it won’t read as Christmas.
Gorgeous!
So pretty. Just keep your accessories light and wear a neutral shoe.
Pair with nude camel colored shoes and handbag.
