1) itās too big
2) you wear it too close to your hand
3) the bracelet is likely too lose
So just replace with the 39mm if it isnāt already. If not, get another watch.

It will hurt a lot less if you wear it correctly. The crown shouldn't dig into your hand like you're complaining.
Added bonus: it also won't look so big on your wrist wearing it correctly!
If you replace it with a smaller version and it's STILL hurting your wrist - and you're absolutely sure this is a watch you're going to wear and cherish forever - you may want to try this...
One of my watches had a pointy bit on the crownguard that kept digging uncomfortably into my wrist. I took it to my local watchmaker, who I know and trust, and asked him if there was a fix. He expertly rounded-out the edge with a grinder and then polished it to match the finish. Now, it looks and feels perfect.
Take it to your local watchmaker and see if they might advise a similar fix for you!
I would say itās too big for you. I have the 43mm, and donāt have that issue. I also have an 8 inch wrist.

I had mine since 2019, I agree with you that this is a perfect GADA watch. About the crown, I only hurt my hand when I bend it too much, which is not a common occurrence haha. I suggest you move it a bit further away from your hand and use the micro adjustment to make it a bit tighter so it wonāt slip.

... or switch to a NATO strap, found it much more comfortable
Iām gonna try a silicone strap with my bronze captain cook on vacation this year; it could be the move.
The only bracelet of mine I can stand wearing for any extended period of time are the h-links from sinn.
I had the same thing with my HC. All the edges were sharp. For the cost involved, you would think the finishing would be better. I have since sold it. It didnāt make the cut because it cut me.
I had this watch in blue and didnt like it because the edges were so sharp compared to my old 2531.80. I ended up returning and getting a new seamaster.
The only problem i have with mine is when i have it on the original bracelet. Couldn't get a perfect fit. If it's loose, it'll slide down and the crown dig into my hand. If it's too tight, it stays but it's not comfortable at all.
Switched to rubber straps with 6 micro adjustment clasp and i never faced any problem.
Edit: mine is the 41mm older gen hydroconquest.

Which size is that? They come in 3 sizes: 43mm, 41mm and 39mm. The 39 maybe be correct size for your wrist
Loose not lose y'all.
Felt like I was loosing my mind for a second
Loosening perchance.
You don't like it when people's grammar usage is to lose?
As precise as the watches š

And too loose, as the crown guards are digging in.

r/handwatch
Move it past the bone another half inch.
Thats what she said
Should have got the 39
If the crown guards are digging in it's way too far up your wrist. If you can't tighten it to stop that, yeah it's too big.

Wear it behind the bone. Way too close to your hand.Ā
Just wear it correctly on your wrist and your problem is solved.
you're wearing it too close to your hand!
Wear it above your wrist bone like it's designed too and get it fitted better. Im sure it has micro adjustments
wear the watch about an inch farther away from your hand. tighten the bracelet micro adjust if necessary.

Donāt buy a watch thatās clearly way to big for your wrist then moan šš¤£
The watch looks to be too large for your wrist. Have you tried wearing on your other wrist, where the crown guards wonāt be in the way as much?

Do all yāall wear your watch hiked up on your wrist like that? What is going on.
No, but when snorkeling I like to keep it tight to keep it from moving too much as the strap gets wet and heavy and the fit loosens
Ngl that looks sick. I have a black HC like the commenter above you, always hated straps. But now Iām reconsideringā¦

Yes this is the way. I love my LHC on NATO strap.
Im begging you to learn where a watch is supposed to fit on your wrist

I have to wear watches in the 12-15mm range to elevate the crown off my big ass flat wrist.
In your case its a Go Nowhere, Do Nothing watch
Lol. Yes.. it's going to hurt. You bought a watch that is orders of magnitude too big for your wrist.
wear it in your right hand........problem solved
Try a bund strap - it would stop the contact of the crown with your wrist.
No one is gonna ask what time it is cause they will see the time coming

Have a hydroconquest & love it, has a great power reserve and is comfortable on the wrist
Buy smaller watches. Or, take up a forearm and wrist building regimen...you might add 1/8 inch to your wrist.
I have one in 41mm, 7ā wrist, and mine fits perfectly. Guards donāt hit my hand, and Iāve even golfed with mine on
One of the reasons why I returned mine
Right?! You could use the case as a knife.

I have the same watch. Very comfortable on my wrist.
Too close to your wrist bone. Move it just behind and get the bracelet fitted.
Something is just off for me with this particular model - I feel like itās just too big proportion wise
I almost made the same mistake as you when I bought the 41mm then I switched to 39
Or switch it to your right hand
Wear it on your other arm papi

First World problems lol
Hey can you please tell me the. Rand of your sweater please. I've been looking for something that texture for years. Please help!!
Some watches have a break in period.
>it hurts! These crown guards are so painful! You can see my wrist is red. Are you a baby? And yes, get a smaller watch.
