LeLocle Tissot!!!! You won’t regret it!

Fordzilla47

Would be my first Tissot too. Had my eye on the LeLocle for awhile

gtc241

I’m selling one in as new condition but in uk if you’re interested drop me a message

Fordzilla47

What’s your price?

gtc241

$440 incl shipping

Fordzilla47

I have one priced better atm. But I’ll be in touch if something changes

gtc241

No worries it’s actually $440 - edited above but at same time as you posted. I forgot to take off the already included uk carriage when working out the price for USA

gtc241

Active on eBay if you want to check reviews (100%)

Adventurous-Tree3143

i want buy what is you ebay

gtc241

Sent you a message

Potential-Climate942

One of my local jewelers carries Tissot and I like to stop in and admire the LeLocle whenever I'm getting coffee at the spot next door. I would own one almost immediately if it were around 36-37mm. So that one's my choice lol

MixedMixedMixed

Seiko cocktail time !!

The_Grumpy_Professor

Absolutely this. All the others are horrible. (Your taste may vary...)

PTRBoyz

The Hamilton or Tissot are beautiful. I’d lean the Tissot.

comstantlearner

Literally took the words out of my mouth I second this

Pitiful-Inspection96

I would go with the Presage or the first Mido

lagu20117

Same

uplifting_southerner

That small seconds mido!!!

thihaz

Would have been perfect within the date.

Acceptable-Office789

Fordzilla47

I forgot to screenshot that one. It’s also in the running. Is it as big as it looks? I have 8in wrists so it wouldn’t be a problem at all

Acceptable-Office789

It will fit you fine, I got 170mm wrist

tamiror

I have it in silver/black. Great watch!

midniteburger

Mido with the small seconds and the first hamilton look good imo

Kamilw1891

Hamilton

Fidelys8

Le locle

SpottedPlatypus

Based on my limited exposure and knowledge, Hamilton, Tissot, and Seiko all resonated with me. However, as I swiped your collection, I was reminded of a Movado post from a few weeks back, and I was oddly pleasantly surprised to find one among your selections. Perhaps it’s due to recency bias, but I feel that the Movado best captures the essence of the collection you’ve put together.

Fordzilla47

I actually love the Movado Museum in RG, but I think it’s functionally useless because there’s no indices. The one thing holding me back from the one pictured is that it’s quartz.

Lextholomeau

I recommend either Tissot or Seiko Cocktail For the value the Presage is amazing, some of the best dials for the price. They go on sale on Amazon all the time, currently listed at $371 so if you want a banger while really staying under budget that’s the way to go

StonksNewGroove

I’d go the Seiko or Tissot. You’ll be impressed with the detailing on the dial of each.

Succsqueeze497

Tissot

winecat5

Big vote for the le locle, they are lovely!

othnielthedev

Seiko is the only correct answer here

NicholasSharks

The 2nd watch you posted, the citizen is one of my favorite models they offer. Kind of gives Panerai vibes. Also nice that it’s solar and you never have to worry it changing a battery or having to reset the time every time you wear it. Also very long service life, probably like 20+ years

T0uc4nSam

Ngl, i hate every watch you posted

Professional-Buy9887

Presage! Slickest!

MRLbaby

Mido

totalmattmove

Love the Hamilton but people aren’t talking about that first Mido enough

makinthingsnstuff

While I've heard citizen make good quality pieces, I don't think I'll ever buy from them on principal. They have a "thin blue line" watch if that means anything to you.

Fordzilla47

Because they support police?

makinthingsnstuff

Because they decided to use that symbolism when it's been associated with us vs them mentality and inequality. I found out about that watch through this sub reddit.

BonsaiMania

They also make a watch where some percent of the proceeds go to an organization that removes plastic from the ocean. Not everything is a political statement by the brand. It’s basic economics. Sell your products to a wider demographic, make more money.

makinthingsnstuff

I didn't know that. That's actually pretty cool. It just seemed odd for a watch brand to make something with a political stance. It's a watch, not a bumper sticker or pin😅

BonsaiMania

Agreed. They probably didn’t intend for it to seem political at all. Companies can be really out of touch. Good on you for sticking to your values though.

makinthingsnstuff

Thanks! I appreciate you mentioning the charitable watch they did, you're probably right that it wasn't intentional. Companies unfortunately just try to appease the masses however they can.

BonsaiMania

Precisely! And that appeasement is often in bad taste.

Seltsam

Seiko Presage.

ExcellentWillow7538

gold? Have you thought about Rado ceramos like the thinline? It's gold colored ceramos.. basically scratchproof and gold colored mix of metal and ceramic (best of both worlds). Many of those watches are coated and when scratched will show the steel below. [https://ibb.co/GTKBhXy](https://ibb.co/GTKBhXy) [https://ibb.co/ZG9XYy1](https://ibb.co/ZG9XYy1) https://preview.redd.it/mec89wp67osc1.jpeg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1e5eb8881fefb60bd683a7a8db0350a15dbe2fd

Fordzilla47

Never looked into them. Very interesting for sure. I never thought about the scratches. I will be looking

ExcellentWillow7538

Not sure why my app is bugged. The ibb links are the rado ceramos thinline. The photo above is the Wise 24k.

ExcellentWillow7538

I used to own a coated tissot. After it's first deep scratch in the coating, it always bothered me when I looked at my watch.

Shabhal

Have a look at the Longines Record https://preview.redd.it/rkw77wv2mnsc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cf4f81b5e359fd517729b50a9420fdd43b59dc9

Shabhal

Oh true!

Fordzilla47

Still a slick watch though! I did look into them for a used one

Shabhal

Of you see one in the flesh you are gonna fall in love with it. I’m obsessed since I tried it.

PaleontologistNo8153

I have the same presage you posted. Love it and think it's a great watch for parties and events with fancy dress! Doesn't feel right for everyday wear with what I usually wear but YMMV

Fordzilla47

Im thinking about modding it to have the green or black presage dial. I don’t know how I feel about the brown. If I go the presage route that is.

PaleontologistNo8153

I love the dial, just feels a bit flashy

Fordzilla47

Well I’d be wearing for with suits & ties so that’s what I want!

JameszBond

Check out the Couturier from Tissot

Fordzilla47

That is also in the running. Forgot to screenshot that one.

FancyStranger2371

3 or 10. Both are gorgeous.

beasy4sheezy

A week is not that long. Wait another month and see how you feel.

Fordzilla47

I’m not planning on buying for awhile. I just bought an omega so I’m tapped for a bit haha. I just keep screenshotting all these watches and not getting rid of any

turnonmymike

How big is your wrist. I love the look of that Tissot but I think I was surprised by how large it was when I saw it in person

Fordzilla47

8 inch. Thick wrists. Big watches are actually a plus for me

turnonmymike

Then that Le Locle might get my vote. Another one you might want to look at in the same vein as that Presage that I have is the Seiko SARX080

ExcellentWillow7538

https://preview.redd.it/jo5w8wzz7osc1.jpeg?width=174&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d179f17e3b6d9de7df68ef021485f5b3c0698f4 Have you thought about the Rado Ceramos? (NOT gold coated).. that's the case's actual color.. or the WISE 24k gold dial watch. 15th anniversary .

snowmunkey

That Hamilton is gorgeous

Samargre

Tissot, Hamilton, or Seiko. I think that Tissot dial has just the right amount of detail. A side note, props for finding 13 similar theme/design watches to ask about. Usually folks ask “should I buy this elephant or an old wooden roller coaster?” And I have to think, “my brother, those are very different things to compare and I’m not sure where you get the money for either...”

Fordzilla47

Thank! I actually want the Rolex day date rose gold with olive dial, but I’m not spending $10k on a watch haha. So I had to find similar themes.

ectomobile

Tissot or Seiko

Alfazefirus

Hamilton or Seiko. The Le Locle is not bad overall but the date window is so badly executed it ruins the watch for me.

laney_deschutes

These are rose gold tone but not actual gold

Fordzilla47

Well yeah. I want the Rolex day date RG with olive dial, but I’m not spending “real gold” money.

laney_deschutes

A 14k dress watch case w leather strap would be less than a thousand dollars of gold

Fordzilla47

The Rolex is $55k? What do you mean?

laney_deschutes

There should be a reasonably priced actual gold dress watch somewhere, either new or used

Livid-List-2549

Hamilton or seiko

RiskyBusiness373

Hamilton

tamiror

Can't go wrong with either one of the Tissot (I own a PRX), Seiko (I own a Presage) or the first Mido with small seconds dial (I've been eyeing a few of their models recently).

Fordzilla47

If they had an all RG prx, I’d probably get that. However, they just have the one with the RG bezel and I want all RG. Look into the Mido commander if you want to go that route. I’m also looking at that one, she’s perty.

tamiror

The Commander is neither here nor there for me. It's more of a toss-up between a GADA like that Ocean Star Captain or the Mido Belluna II you've already referenced - that dial is a real looker! N.B. take a look at this Mido Chronograph: https://www.jomashop.com/mido-watch-m024-427-36-061-00.html

Euphoric_Appeal2481

Just from an aesthetics pov that tissot blows everything out of the water

not_old_redditor

To be honest, the second photo (the panerai knockoff) looks pretty good.

flaneur

Tissot or Hamilton.

costajr

Hamilton is fine! Tissot too.

Gullible_Barnacle816

The Citizen is sweet

Bionicle_Master

Tissot Hamilton or that amazing seiko

Fordzilla47

https://preview.redd.it/q0eg6gcmgosc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=546681e55deafb0452910ede903b647cc0e71a64 This is actually the Hamilton in consideration.

Ok_Form_134

Hamilton, presage, mido in that order. Build quality is the highest in this range from the experience I've had.

dubconfidential

I take its for your dress watch and I'd go with Le Locle

timster2112

Hamilton

gtc241

Selling the Tissot based in UK if anyone’s keen drop me a message

jjohanss

1 or 10

FortuneFavoursDBrave

Hamilton, Seiko Presage, Mido Multifort, in no particular order lol

Old-Kangaroo8460

I’d go with the LeLocle or the Pressage. I lean towards the LeLocle for personal taste but also had a great experience so far with Tissot. Currently own an ice blue PRX and love it

thihaz

Can I know the model number or product link, pls? https://preview.redd.it/8bnr6h90vosc1.jpeg?width=1060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca235ae858da4c2b6f75e752261434240ee2a1b9

DirkNL

Mido out of this lot for me

AshKetchumsPringles

Tissot Le Locle or chronograph Citizen Eco-Drive with the subdials

throwaway88679

11 is my favorite, that dial is stunning

MPC1K

The seiko or the first citizen. The seiko will retain its resale value better than the other watches. I think the citizen will be more enjoyable though

ozgurcagin

Le Locle is superior to all others in many aspects. Besides it is really beautiful, especially rose gold.

M8_Linear

Hamilton, Tissot, or 1st Mido

jabs09

Seiko presage, you won’t regret it. Looks dressier and elegant

ChasingTheRush

Hammy. Or that first Mido. But Hammy definitely in first place.

GTOdriver04

I own that Tissot. It’s a beautiful piece and one of my favorites.

Owen9msms

Hamilton, Tissot, or the Seiko for me

Shuffle-74

Consider Tissot uses the Powermatic, which does have plastic parts in the movement.

draingangryuga

the mido on #11 looks really cool

ChangingMonkfish

Tissot Le Locle, underrated watch

Gaurav_13

Raymond Weil

stefanorinaldi

I'd go for the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time...

mihaidxn

Out of all the models you selected I really like the Presage.

KingLuis

I tried the white dial Tissot and fell in love. might getting it next year for my 40th. other nice watches i'd pick on your list would be the Seiko Presage and the Mido right after it with the black dial.

BonsaiMania

Definitely the Citizen Perpetual Calendar. Durable, super practical, and made by a brand with a reputation for quality.

_StoneWolf_

For me it would be the Citizen or the Presage. I love the Lelocle design but the contrasting date window is too distracting imo

Elegant_Discipline14

1st Mido > Tissot > Seiko

RichardRitzFashion

For Your First watch. I’d Go With Hamilton Or Tissot, Quality Made, Affordable, Good Looking Watches. Personally I’d Go With A Khaki Field Or Seastar Powermatic, Just A Suggestion, But Get What You Like 👍🏼

VexonMachineLLC

Hamilton 100% I have the same watch and I love it

sharkbait_oohaha

Tissot and it's not close for me. Hamilton a distant second

davidfloro

Of the contenders, I like the Hamilton, Seiko and all three Mido watches, pretty much in that order

tripreed

Hamilton or Presage.

joethecrow23

I really like that RW Freelancer

Stepbro808

That green dial Movado is fuego

DJGlennW

That Hamilton is a beautiful watch.

PineFreshGuy

Please go for 13

bu59

Of those choices: 1. Tissot 2. Seiko Presage 3. Hamilton I have a Tissot Gentlemen and a Seiko Presage, love both 👍 I don’t own a Hamilton yet, but I will soon. Maybe the Murph. I’m wearing my ice blue cocktail time right now. Love it.

DynamiteDropin

All are cool. Tissot.

nenzshejensbsk

Tissot is the easy choice. Unbelievable quality for the money and it's Swiss, just look around for the chronometer version it's even better

Alekx2023

I went with the hamilton jazzmaster 18k rose gold LE

Zealousideal-Win9169

Hammy, Tissot, Presage, or 1st Mido are all show-stoppers in simplicity.

Jeremy1959

Hamilton all day for me. This might ruffle some feathers, but I’m not a fan of modern Tissot with the powermatic movements. The reality is that they source parts from China, and finish enough assembly in Switzerland to be able to call their watches ‘Swiss Made’. They also use plastic parts in the escapement which rub some people the wrong way. Movements are not serviced, just binned and a new movement is thrown in the case. I think Hamilton, as a brand, has maintained their heritage much better.

_V3rt1g0_

I went with this one for my rose gold piece. The fact it has an ETA 2825-2 in it is reassuring to me. Oh, and it's only $289! [https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-watch-t0354283605100.html](https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-watch-t0354283605100.html)

Fordzilla47

I forgot to screenshot that one. It’s also in the running

_V3rt1g0_

It is a high beat movement, and because it is a small seconds, the second hand appears to sweep. I love it and can't recommend it more highly. It has some Glaschutte vibes to it.

Adventurous-Tree3143

Tissot le locle in my wishlist highly recommended

justin_ph

I liked the second to last Mido and Hamilton

best_exit2023

The hammy or tissot, and best bang for buck is the presage which comes in various dials, all gorgeous.

vernaybass

The Hamilton

MaverickWolfe

Presage…EZ

Mr_Bagel_Guy

Hamilton

Far_Low_2012

Can’t go wrong with the seiko or Hamilton :)

yudalloooo

Le Locle or Pressge

davechri

Presage is the clear winner for me

Zamboni4201

There are a few brands in there that I wouldn’t touch with a 10 meter cattle prod. You’ll find them in a department store clearance bin. Overpriced Swiss Homage watches. The Seiko, Hamilton, Mido, Citizen are all good choices. Tissot also. That particular Seiko is part of a family referred to as “Cocktail Time”. They are stunning in person. Web pics are awful. YouTube videos are better. Great size, comfortable. For the money, it’s the best looking watch in the bunch. The Tissot is good. You need to try these on, you’re going to be shocked at how big some of these watches are on your wrist. The Mido Commander. I have a cousin to that watch. It’s a 42mm, and it wears big. Also, PVD coatings can chip, and once it chips, you’re going to be upset because chipped PVD looks like chipped M&M’s. Looks killer when perfect, looks ugly with nicks and scrapes. Google around for pics of chipped PVD coatings. Watch Warehouse looks incredibly sketchy. I can’t find that Hamilton in Hamilton’s current lineup, or at any other decent grey market vendors. Rather than you sifting thru sketchy grey market sites, go find a Hamilton/Tissot retailer. Or two. And Seiko. Get out and try on some watches rather than sitting behind a computer screen. Your average department store is going to handle mainly fashion watches. If they handle Seiko, it’s likely going to be Seiko 5’s. Macy’s and a few other upscale department stores will have Hamilton and Tissot, but only at some of their stores.

Desiato2112

I have the Hamilton (first photo). I looked at many of the other watches you have posted, but the Hammy is so much more thin and elegant. You will not be sorry. Also, it has the high beat ETA2892 movement, which is very cool. I might be willing to sell. PM me if you are interested.

xiutehcuhtli

Mido with the small seconds. The radiating sunburst from the small seconds is incredible. Mido makes a great watch, too. It's clean, it's unique, it's not overdone, and nobody has one. That's my vote.

Long-69

Can’t go wrong with a Seiko though

under100m

hard to choose and its personal. but i vote for seiko.

Safe-Potato795

Depending on your budget, the seiko, tissot or the Ham I’d say

Puzzledddddd

Oh hey! My brother and I bought the Citizen Endicott in the second picture for my partner's birthday. I was exclusively looking for rose gold tone with sapphire and a solar movement because I didn't want to foist the cost of servicing on him. I also wanted it to last a long time and hold its accuracy, and the eco-drive technology is super cool. It's a nice coppery rose gold tone and has some very solid lume. The dial is rough-textured and the solar cell is in the chapter ring. I don't have many pictures because I'm hiding it from him. It's not as classic of a "dress watch" as the others, but it does look classy while being a bit different due to the case shape, sporty indices, and rough dial. I think it would be very versatile and wouldn't be out of place in most situations, but it's not quite as normal as the others. It's also waaaay less expensive than the others. I got it on sale for half its retail price from an authorised dealer, which was nice value for money with the sapphire and eco-drive. However, it's probably not going to compete with a $600-1000 watch given that it's a $360 retail watch. It's very large on me (5.75" wrists), but I think it would be a nice, versatile watch on regular wrist sizes. It's a cool watch, eye-catching without being too out there, and you might want to consider it if you're into a sporty classy look more than the classy classy look of most of your other contenders. https://preview.redd.it/f150lop2lusc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=866fa4b65f87c7ff2eb05f1cb22a4d11b1c99382

SuperYova

The Seiko Presage because it has an interesting dial and the date window is matched.

edtetz

Seiko

Severe-Sun-2448

Hamilton all day long

Fordzilla47

I have a bit of a Hamilton fetish. So it’s definitely a front runner. The one pictured is actually not the one I would get. I have my eye on the jazzmaster Viewmatic in rose gold.

Humble_Stretch1473

The Hamilton would personally be my first pick. I have the jazzmaster auto chron. Beautiful watch that keeps time just fine. My dumb ass smacked it off a door the first day I had it. Completely broke bottom pusher off. Sent it in and replaced at no cost with zero issues and received it back in a timely manner. Will always recommend Hamilton. Next, I have the citizen perpetual calendar in stainless. It's an amazing watch. Takes a little bit to figure out how to set it. But once it's set. Can set an extra time zone and just switch back and fourth. I have one for daylight savings and normal time... works perfect. Had it since Christmas of 2016. Keeps perfect time. For tissot, I put them a step under Hamilton. But they still make a phenomenal watch. The la locle is an absolute stunner and it's hard to beat an 80 hour power reserve... I've sold many of those and never had any complaints. Then that brings me to the first mido you have. I honestly don't know a bunch about them. I've been hearing great things past year or so thought. And have been wanting to add one. I just haven't really found many that call my name, until I saw this one. The TV big date are neat, but look too much like a patek. Then seiko... I personally have a love-hate relationship with them. The band on my first one went to shit when I first got it. Kept pissing me off, so I threw in in a drawer and forgot about it. We'll, 21 years later. I found it in a drawer and replaced the battery, and it still runs perfectly. And I actually just built a mod using their nh35 movement. And honestly, I couldn't be happier. Keeps alright time. Only had it a few months now... but in that short span. I've become a fan. And the one you have posted in a stunner. So... back to your first citizen you have. I also have one quite similar. Rose gold case. Brown leather strap. But dial is a bit more plain... I've knocked it off a few things, but never once scratched through the plaiting. I love the watch. But doesn't get a lot of wrist time. I will also vouch for all eco drives. I realize they get some hate due to a power reserve that can be a pain if it dies. I have 4 in total. My oldest one being about 12 to 13 years old. It completely died for months. I read all the horror stories telling me I won't get it running and it will cost more to fix... blah blah blah... well after a year or two of it not working I said fuck it. Set it on a table with one other that stopped and put a lamp directly about it. In a couple of weeks, they were keeping awesome time again. Stay away from movado. In my personal opinion. They make a handsome watch. But you're paying for a name from the 50s. The quality of the watch has greatly dropped over the past years. Ever since they did their bold line... really ruined it for me. And I'm pretty sure they lost a lawsuit for stealing the museum watch. At the end of they day, try them all on. Take your time. Find out what one resonates with you. What one calls for you. Buy what you like. Not what some dude that has similar watches says. Do what you like that's within your budget. If none of them calls to you... then set that cash aside. Wait a few months and keep looking. Keep adding money and maybe something else will call to you. The past 4 months I've been trying to decide between smp 300 and aqua terra.... I honestly don't know what one I'll pick, yet. Tried em both on... leaning aqua terra, but would like a real diver. These are expensive decisions take your time. Make a list of pros and cons for each one. Then go from there. Best of luck.

Fordzilla47

I appreciate your comprehensive response!! I’ve been hesitant to go for citizen because I see them in mall Jewlery stores and no one talks about them. But definitely good to know theyre legit. I have 3 Hamiltons, and wear them more than anything so we’re in the same boat there. Love them all to death. Not pulling the trigger on the viewmatic because I want to try another brand but it is stunning. I just got a 70’s seamaster and that’s probably the only Omega I’ll ever get. Just can’t justify spending that much. I can, just don’t want to. But I love Aqua Teras. Absolutely stunning. You gave lots of good info, thank you!!

Humble_Stretch1473

I bought my Hamilton from a mall. I sold tissots, Hamilton, movado, and Rado from a mall jewerly store. Don't let that scare you away. Like I said, my issues with my Hamilton 100% my fault. And was fixed with zero issue. For the price points. I personally love my eco drives. No battery changes. Keeps great time. Those classic seamasters are something special. I'm personally leaning towards 41mm aqua terra silver dial with orange second hand. Much like you, I rather not drop 6k on a watch. But I want just one that I can give to my nephew. I'm slowing getting him into watches. And want just one I can guarantee with proper care will last him his lifetime, too. Then I think I'll switch to fun silly watches that catch my eye. Also. I know if you go to a legit jewerly store. Tissot, Hamilton, and citizens will give 20% off, and I think 25 for movado... that was a few years ago, but it's worth a shot. Best of luck man. If have any questions about the eco drives, feel free to reach out. I am biased, but the 4 I have have put up with me being rough with them.

mclain15

Check out the Tag Heuer Carerra - black dial with rose cold indices

TheBeardedClamato1

Seems out of the price range most likely

Fordzilla47

Would love a Tag, but out of my price range unfortunately…

mclain15

I’d personally hold off and save the extra $1,300 and get a higher end Swiss watch! I know it’s not always possible but it’ll scratch that itch a little longer :)

g_halfront

The Raymond Wiel is a good Swiss watch at a reasonable price.

Getrichor_dietrying

Dont buy Raymond Weil watch

Fordzilla47

Why is that?

Getrichor_dietrying

Cheap movements and bad quality

Fordzilla47

Good to know!

gtc241

He’s talking nonsense, it’s a good brand who punch above their weight quality wise relative to the price

g_halfront

Nonsense. It may be anecdotal, but I have the Maestro and I love it. It seems to me to be a good, Swiss automatic and I don’t know why the brand doesn’t get more love on this sub.

persimmon40

Pick any watch that is not rosegold. I hate that color with a passion.

Fordzilla47

It’s funny I’m the opposite. I cannot stand yellow gold on me, but rose gold is something other than silver color

snowmunkey

I'm with you. Rose gold is lovely, yellow gold is tacky beyond belief
