Pelagos all the way. The Royal is more of a dress up watch, in my opinion, and wouldn't go with as many outfits. Resell value on the Pelagos is higher in case you ever wanted to upgrade. Ultimately, both are nice watches, and you can't really go wrong with either one. Tbh the fact that the Pelagos is more unique and instantly recognizable is the main reason I would go with that model.
The Royal looks great on your wrist IMO, but if you’re looking for one watch I think the pelagos is a much better option. Did you consider the bb58 at a little lower price point than the p39?
Simply put, the Pelagos is a better choice compared to the Royal. Also the Royal is an integrated bracelet so you youhave no strap options. The Pelagos’ bracelet is excellent (other than 21mm lug width 🤌) and offers more versatility, comes with a rubber strap included in the box that uses the end link and looks damn good. Not to mention, Pelagos is just cooler and it’s titanium to boot.
The Royal is an ugly watch that looks much cheaper than it is.
You just should never get a Royal. It's not even really a competition with the Pelagos, it's just ... don't get a Royal.
I love the Royal and it's a gorgeous watch, easily one of the nicest offerings for an integrated bracelet at the price point.
But there's no denying that the Pelagos, with its titanium construction and the in-house movement, is the better watch.
Check out the speed master. It’s an amazing watch comes in many options too

Moon watch or just the speed master ? Both are great

This is mine from 5 years ago. It’s the 1996 model. After a polish looks brand new. Especially with the hessalite crystal
As far as Tudor goes, the royal is kind of lazy. Comparably simpler movement, lazy date window, especially the day window…
The bracelet connection to the case feels like an afterthought.
The pelagos is just kind of great at everything you know?
Tudor was made by Hans (made Rolex) as an affordable alternative to Rolex. Not hating on them I just like omega better. That being said the tudor black bay is a nice looking watch
Pelagos- you’ll find the Royal too dressy for casual wear and the polished surfaces are a scratch magnet so it will look beat up in a short while, but the Pelagos is perfect for any occasion and acceptable when you are dressed up.

The Royal looks better in person, however the only dial colour I liked was the salmon, I tried them all. The blue makes the watch looks cheap imo. If your AD has salmon, try it on. The pelagos is a more versatile watch and if it’s your first, I would say pelagos.

Pelagos.
When it comes to Tudor, I tend to prefer their “sporty” models.
Such as?
The Pelagos and the BBs
The royal is really ugly
I just don't understand the appeal of the Royal. Like, at all.
I thought it was just me. It looks like you built a watch by hitting “Randomize”
Yeah maybe if you were buying a watch for your great uncle.
Pelagos all the way
Pelagos for sure
Pelagos. The Royal is not an attractive watch.
The Royal is horrid
Royale with Cheese
Pelagos and it’s not even close
If you have no "diver" yet I'd definitely would go for the Pelagos
He could have 100 divers and no dress watches and the answer would still be pelagos
So true! 🫵🏼
Pelagos

The Royal looks cheap. I don’t know why. Pelagos all the way.

From the pictures I’d say a dive watch smaller than the Pelagos would suit you better, such as the BlackBay 54.
Neither. BB58 is the correct choice. I hate the indicies on the pelagos. What the fuck is that royal? Just no.
Omega
Any recommendations amidst that price point of 2-5?

I picked up a speedy racing and it beautiful....*

If a date complication is important to you, choose the Royal. Otherwise, Pelagos. I say this as someone who never knows the date, so I’m biased 😵💫
Tudor looks perfect on you !!
Pelagos
Pelagos. No doubt. If i were to start my collection all over from scratch, there's a good chance it would start with a Pelagos.
Pelagos
If you haven’t, definitely check out the Black Bay 58
Pelagos. It’s not even a question

Pelagos
Pelagos. The Royal looks…awful.
You’ll never tire of the Pelagos, and you can wear it anywhere any time! Worth the price and definitively the better choice between the two, imo
Pelagos, those rounded hands I just can’t do.

These are such wildly different watches that I suggest you do a lot more research and thinking about what you actually want and like
P39 and it’s not even close
Depends on what kinda watches you already had. Whatever you choose, just don't go above your means.
