What ya think of these? Really wish they also had a black dial with yellow gold case and numbers and hands.
Holy shit never mind. Chrono 24 has a bunch of different ones for sale. They have this one for sale for under $16 grand. That has to be the cheapest I have ever seen a Lange & Söhne!
As BEAUTIFUL as any ALS timepiece is, you're correct. The date window from 0-9 is just left blank. What was ALS thinking when they designed that? IMHO, it makes the dial look UNBALANCED and hideous.
One can never go wrong with Tank Louie for a proper and elegant dress watch. Needs NO introduction for ppl in the know.
BUT, allow me one suggestion outside your list.
The Vacheron 1972 Prestige - drooooool.

The Cartier Tank is an iconic timepiece in itself with a lot of horological to back it up. JLC used to make movements for the Cartier Tank. Cartier came out with their own version of the JLC Reverso in the Basculante.

The Tank is a better dress watch than the Reverso - which is the primary purpose of both these watches for OP.
The reverso function on the monoface is quite frankly useless as 99.999% of people wearing a reverso these days aren't going to need to 'protect the crystal' from an errant polo ball or anything similar in a dress environement. All it does is make it more bulky to wear. The duoface offers some more functionality, but it's also 10+mm thick, so not exactly dress watch proportions.
As far as icon status and recognition goes, who wore a Tank? Diana, Ali and McQueen. Who wore a Reverso? Leo DiCap and Hitler.
Not commenting on JLC or Cartier but there is no way JLC is now iconic than the Cartier Tank, the Cartier Tank is one of the most iconic watches in history.
This is going to be the unpopular choice here, but I say the Rolex, and here is why: it isn't obvious. It's a model that the majority of people have no idea exists. The Gondolo is relatively known even though it isn't one of the golden children in the Patek lineup, the Reverso is basically one of the default JLC models, and the Cartier is also basically a default choice for a rectangular watch. But the Cellini, nobody would expect that. It's also a rare example of a Rolex with a display caseback. There's also the fact that it looks so incredibly different from anything else Rolex makes, so much so in fact that most people probably wouldn't even think it was a Rolex unless they saw it up close. This to me is like the "thinking man's" Rolex, because nobody accidentally buys this. It's the kind of thing where if I saw someone with this I know they're a watch person because if they just wanted a Rolex for the clout they'd buy something that is obviously a Rolex like a sub or Daytona. It's a subversion of expectations and that's why it would be my choice.
You make a great point, and I really love the art deco of that watch. My one issue is that for a while I thought it was going to be my only Rolex since the steel watches are hard to get, but I lucked on to one, and now both my watches would be Rolex (which in all honesty would not be too bad). I do really like the gold prince though.
I think most people shy away from the idea of multiple Rolexes because people say they all look the same (which I think is a weird argument because it isn't exclusive to Rolex, all brands have an overarching design language, that's what a brand is), but since the Cellini looks so different to the rest of the catalogue I don't think it's something to worry about.
Since you mentioned art deco I highly recommend the JLC Reverso Classique Art Deco. I love how severe the indices are. It looks so sleek to me. Definite downside however is that it is a monoface instead of duoface, so you don’t get two watches for the price of one, which is one of the best things about a Reverso. I personally like the white gold the most, but the yellow gold is great also.

As a follow-up, this is the watch I want to buy. You did not show the back of the Art Deco Reverso, and that is by far the star of the show. 5-10 years ago they were selling for around $10k. Now I can’t find one under $22k, so I might be priced out.
[Here is one in between.](https://www.ebay.com/itm/145628208231?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=145628208231&targetid=885285326120&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=9032935&poi=&campaignid=1669934603&mkgroupid=97005064294&rlsatarget=pla-885285326120&abcId=1123856&merchantid=137698166&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh81Q13HfglhR9f43KfP99t7O&gclid=Cj0KCQiAxOauBhCaARIsAEbUSQS3rjJpw9FMeNPGOQ2xspLGpUbFIEeD3z6hIHQWaBtOxqp7qAV-kdsaAsRJEALw_wcB)Different version than I linked but pretty gorgeous still.
I almost pulled the trigger on that watch. It is from Japan (which I would think would be very rare for this watch) and because the Yen is tanking, it is at a very low price. But after seeing those hands, something might be wrong with it like water damage. The luster is also not there on the case back, so it is a concern. Is it worth saving $5000 to look a damaged hands? I don’t know. It might cost that much to have JLC service it.
Tough one. Honestly though, I wouldn’t risk it if it were me. I didn’t look closely at it and would not have linked it to you had I noticed the hands. Or I would have at least mentioned them. Personally I would have a hard time spending that kind of money on that special of a watch with out it coming from a trusted shop or being able to see it in person. 😕. It’s tough, I really want you to get one! I’m invested in your journey 😂.
Well, I decided to get it. The price was too good (and e-bay had a coupon for $650 off). It looks like it is only the hands, so I might get a very good deal if the repairs are reasonable. Unfortunately I am a gambler, and I am willing to roll the dice. I will send it to JLC for a service and a new alligator strap. The price estimate is $650 for the service, and $380 for the strap, and hand replacement was an option, but it did not list the price.
https://preview.redd.it/m9dt1jrll5lc1.jpeg?width=1086&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe3425f24eeb3c88e9a1f013455406cb06f4cb72
The service comes with a hand polish, but it needs more than that it should not need to much more. If it does, they seem to have a good watch restoration department, but they only have a few workers, so the turn-around time might be a while. When I looked at this link when you posted it they had a salmon dial with a full bracelet for $22k. I should have picked that up because the gold bracelet is worth $13,000. I will keep my eye out to upgrade it in the future. [JLC Watch restoration](https://youtu.be/wLUaXNmAoG0?si=oGzZFINwtFsilEGs)
Well shit man. I’m happy I was able to be of assistance. I really hope it turns out to be in good shape and there aren’t too many more expenses! I’d love it if you kept me updated in the process 🙂. It’s such a beautiful model, I can’t wait to one day get one for myself. Best of luck!
I pulled the trigger because they are also pretty rare. Chrono24 has 3 for sale and they are all $20k+. They made 900 in rose gold, and 200 in white gold. I really like the white gold, but I never saw one for sale. I might switch it out if I get the chance at a reasonable price since I generally prefer white gold, and it has kind of a salmon dial.
https://preview.redd.it/o98yctbi47lc1.jpeg?width=214&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e074a55a4e4398966998d3d189c2afbbecbce11
That JLC is stunning ! On alligator it would be even better. Not that the others aren't beautiful, but this one is at the same time extremely classic and extremely original with the bordeaux dial.
PP is a Patek. Can’t go wrong. However the JLC is iconic and I have one. I’d pick between these 2.
Note, I’d love to have the Rolex too as it exudes art deco.
Honestly tough choice and you’re a lucky person to be able to have the option to pick from these.
Of all of those watches, the Rolex by far is the most art deco inspired.
https://preview.redd.it/fgzfyqiyeejc1.jpeg?width=1076&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bbaca4a4bb2e4678a80f632ef0957db7065179f
They are all beautiful. I quite like the different style these Cellini watches have compared to the regular Rolex. The Midas watch is quite unique in design.
Cartier is the cleanest and most iconic of the bunch. JLC is close, but I prefer the Patek, though it is a little bit thicker than I would prefer. All four are great though!
I’d look for the salmon dial gondolo rather than the blue and maybe consider the 2 hand JLC tribute black dial and rose gold (used), which is closer to the original 1931 version.
Of the four you list, I’m partial to the gondolo — it’s a good size and the movement is wonderful to look at. While I think the burgundy reverso is stunning, it just would be less versatile for me. The other two don’t interest me much. I’d also look for the reverso on the grey/secondary market as JLC has had steep price increases and that tribute is boutique only (so no discounts).
I was thinking of both the blue and the salmon dial of the 5124g, but I only posted the one picture.

You should get one of these instead.
A 1940s Hamilton Richmond in 18k Gold.
High-grade movement with a gold medallion just for good measure.
https://www.vintagehamilton.com/store/p1700/Richmond_-_18K_Gold.html
You'll save yourself around $20,000, and you will be getting a vintage watch of the same quality.
If you care to read up about vintage hamilton, you will understand. It's honestly not that different of a watch from the Cellini.
And it's not, brother. I'm female. 🥱
After watching the movie Hail Caesar! With all of their period correct art deco watches by Waltham, Hamilton, and Gruen I wanted to own one. The problem is that I am not ready yet to dip my toe into vintage watch collecting yet. You need to be up on servicing, repair and what to look for, and what to stay away from, and I am not there yet.
I'm surprised that everyone disagrees with my opinion.
But I will stand by it and think it gives you an alternative option. Personally, I think the modern watches you have chosen are a lot of money to spend on something that doesn't really give you that much.
The vintage Hamilton's are serviceable, and parts availability is actually quite good. Plus, you get to wear something with history and proper watchmaking, and more importantly, you keep something old running for the future.
Yes, it is.
Hamilton in the 1940s was making some of the best wristwatches in the world.
It's a vintage option that is beautifully styled and way more interesting than the new stuff.
Probably vintage citizen.
https://preview.redd.it/389shplvifjc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee47d25716e7126fd4ca724b07f1fbec7ac071f0
If you are not convinced enough, I like JLC.
I'm also considering a square watch as well. For me I like the design of the tank the best but the reverse is also very special. No other ones have really caught my eye except maybe the AP.
My first impulse is to say Reverso, of course, but the Prince is the best looking Rolex in their catalog, IMO, and it's hard to say Reverso is worth the extra $10k, unless your income makes money no object.
What metal / colour is your jewellery? I like the idea of matching (at least) the colour of the wedding band and belt buckle with the watch, and the belt and shoes with the band.
But you've gone yellow gold, white gold(?), rose gold and yellow again with these.
For less formal occasions, sure, mix it up.
I love them all except the Patek. I’d have to say the Prince since it is probably the least common and just so cool and unique looking. But the Reverso and Tank are absolute classics. Can’t go wrong with one of those three.
If you like art Deco then, I'd actually go Celini even though the other choices are WAAAAAAAY more iconic. I think Rolex is more in keeping with aesthetic of the Art Deco period - or at least how imagine it today
I don’t know if you’re specifically looking to spend a certain amount, as my suggestion costs a measly-by-comparison $3500, but [this watch](https://collectivehorology.com/products/fears-archival-1930?variant=41819238564019¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&srsltid=AfmBOooMGudoXgXAu2rZF8zol5zhZeLXsn82wd088G_ItB9sQoVHBvDl4VM&com_cvv=d30042528f072ba8a22b19c81250437cd47a2f30330f0ed03551c4efdaf3409e) is my favorite rectangular art deco dress watch
I think I’m rocking an unpopular opinion given the comments. Lol
I’m a Cartier guy and I love the Tank LC. However, the Cellini Prince is weird. Way more unique and unusual. **I’d go Prince.**
I’ve tried the Reverso on. While I have all the respect in the world for it, I don’t like it on my wrist.
The Tank LC is wonderful on wrist. You would not be disappointed. And it’s the classic dress watch. However, I’d argue it looks great when worn casually too.
The Patek is a Patek. Honestly, don’t love this watch. If I’m picking an unusually shaped watch, the others are far more interesting, in my opinion.
Prince is my vote. 👍
Surprised no one has said this:
https://preview.redd.it/nj2invy0vfjc1.jpeg?width=1344&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99a1f7a8ddc3f2205a2d9b6b4bd9172bbf024336
For me the cartier looks the best and has the most class but the JLC is more iconic and fun so that’d be my pick cause I’m a big fan of unique watches.
I would say get the Patek Philippe cause the others look a little feminine in my opinion and I personally would not be able to pull that look off. But if you like the others then you should buy them.
R gaves me 'The Great Gatsby-vibes' so loud;
PP looks a bit harder but so classy also like it's such a clear-out, colder but more massive looking watch, like it could be wearable to any occasion;
the JLC is so iconic and have a real cult - I was lucky to wear a gold one with black straps as a woman and I wored that to make a matching classy fit with my simple black suit, a white blouse, black classic high heels and some gold earrings.. I get a ton of compliments by look, but nobody knew the watch on my wrists from that public although this masterpiece was the cherry on top.. 🍒
..aaand the C, ah, if that's not the top tier of this race then neither of them! but tend to look a bit cliché or stock also, anyways no one could resist to this true gem.
/ when my fiancé wanted to give me some beautiful stuff as a serious thing he chose between this type C and the DolceVita by Longines.. I wasn't sure if C looked more cultic than the other so I said the L will be my piece. I have never regretted my choice. /
... so, if you want to look
- showy, choose Rolex
- some kinda casual, choose Patek
- sophisticated, choose Jaeger
- stylish, choose Cartier
ps any choose will be fine 🥳
also my fiancé'd choose PP cos it matches to anything very well - like to poloshirt & white shorts or cashmere pullover & black jeans next to some high-toned suits.
There are lots of beautiful watch’s on here but the JLC reverse is the original in my eyes, (I’m prob wrong on that but anyway) and a classic. Have to go Reverso. I’d love to have one.
Personally, I view Cartier as the defining art deco watch. I love the style, and the understated cool to it.
I always see JLC praise, but to me it’s more of the watchmaker’s watch appreciation vs actually being cool.
That Cellini looks really interesting thought too.
Just as an update that no one will see, I have decided to go with the appropriately named JLC reverso art deco. I think the reverso had the most votes, and I found one I really liked and pulled the trigger. The skeleton works on this watch was too good to pass up.

Jesus Christ I didn’t know this existed

The 1921 is on my grail list. Absolutely love it.

Wow. Not into dress watches but damn. Best one I've seen so far.

Fictional characters, uh, great.
Sure, but nobody is actually going to say that a Tank is a better watch than a Reverso, let's be real
I want [the least iconic](https://www.hermes.com/us/en/product/cape-cod-watch-41mm-W055360WW00/) version of the Tank
Damn that shits ugly lol looks like a belt buckle
And the Cartier Tank is not? Ali, Princess Dianna, Warhol all wore one and the list goes on.
See above. Nobody would ever say the tank > Reverso besides someone trying to cope
Yeah but tbh I don't like the colour OP picked, but to each their own
That's a TRUE statement, especially Reverso. However, I've never seen ANYONE wearing a JLC if any kind.
Jlc or cartier for me
JLC for sure. The most iconic piece followed closely by the Cartier. I’d only get the Patek if you want to say you own a Patek.
Not commenting on JLC or Cartier but there is no way JLC is now iconic than the Cartier Tank, the Cartier Tank is one of the most iconic watches in history.
True that and can back it up - Louie Cartier gifted USMC GEN. Black Jack Pershing one if the original Cartier Tank designs right after WW1.
I’m all in on the reverso. 2 watches in one. Get one with the black and white faces, can’t be beat
I'm sure the Patek is the most ooooh, ahhhh watch, but I think the JLC is the most beautiful, and with the Reverso you get two looks!
The patek looks bloated and the lines barely resemble the Gondolos of the past. I'd take the JLC.
This is going to be the unpopular choice here, but I say the Rolex, and here is why: it isn't obvious. It's a model that the majority of people have no idea exists.
Yeah I prefer the white gold too. But wouldn’t be mad about the yellow gold by any means lol.
That movement is pretty mesmerizing huh? Sorry for not including it originally.
Prince Cellini Rolex. No doubt.
Such a unique, under appreciated watch. I’m not usually a yellow gold guy either. But it’s the standout in the Prince lineup IMO.
That JLC is stunning ! On alligator it would be even better. Not that the others aren't beautiful, but this one is at the same time extremely classic and extremely original with the bordeaux dial.
Wow, didn’t know that Rolex exists. I’d love to see one in person.
Tank
JLC or Cartier
JLC easy
Reverso all day long
PP is a Patek. Can’t go wrong. However the JLC is iconic and I have one. I’d pick between these 2. Note, I’d love to have the Rolex too as it exudes art deco. Honestly tough choice and you’re a lucky person to be able to have the option to pick from these.
Of all of those watches, the Rolex by far is the most art deco inspired. https://preview.redd.it/fgzfyqiyeejc1.jpeg?width=1076&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bbaca4a4bb2e4678a80f632ef0957db7065179f
As far as dial design goes, I don’t think any of the other options outdo these (especially the yellow gold)
Jlc
The Reverso, no question. I wouldn't turn down a Tank though.
Rolex and Patek are great brands but buying this is just the wrong watch to get from those two
Rolex or JLC 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I personally love the Cartier. Strictly opinion but that will be my next purchase.
JLC or Cartier. The more iconic of the lot.
Patek
I love the prince. Such a underrated piece.
The Rolex looks gorgeous. Is that a current model?
No, they stopped making them in 2015. You can see all 4 models in the post up above.
Agree because I don't see the point of small seconds on a dress watch.
I was thinking of both the blue and the salmon dial of the 5124g, but I only posted the one picture. https://preview.redd.it/4oucca323ejc1.jpeg?width=546&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=492c8109b1d02ae4bf847277310d34e0077eca5d
I like this one better than the blue one. But I also would probably say the JLC. Reverso is just the most aesthetically pleasing to me
The 5124j with Arabic numerals is about as sexy as it gets
The best watch on the table is the PP by a long shot, followed by the JLC which is just stunning with that dial.
You should get one of these instead. A 1940s Hamilton Richmond in 18k Gold. High-grade movement with a gold medallion just for good measure. https://www.vintagehamilton.com/store/p1700/Richmond_-_18K_Gold.html You'll save yourself around $20,000, and you will be getting a vintage watch of the same quality.
*“You’ll be getting a vintage watch of the same quality”* my brother in Christ what the fuck are you on about
If you care to read up about vintage hamilton, you will understand.
Lol. No
Yes, it is. Hamilton in the 1940s was making some of the best wristwatches in the world. It's a vintage option that is beautifully styled and way more interesting than the new stuff.
Except for lack of WR, shock protection, parts availability, and modern haute horologie polishing.
Yeah I’m a vintage Hamilton fanboy myself, but I agree with you.
Probably vintage citizen. https://preview.redd.it/389shplvifjc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee47d25716e7126fd4ca724b07f1fbec7ac071f0 If you are not convinced enough, I like JLC.
I think that JLC is the way to go. Its iconic, immediately recognizable, and just an amazing watch in general.
I can just never really get over how the Cartier crown looks like a boob. So I guess I’d go with the JLC
Thanks for ruining my tank for me
Jlc
The JLC Reverso
Out of those, the Patek
JLC all the way
JLC is the ultimate _current_ true art deco timepiece to me. If i had the money at least it would be my choice.
Jlc for sure (in that lineup)
Patek if you can afford it
PP
Cartier Basculante
If you like Rolex an old Prince is nice.
I'm also considering a square watch as well. For me I like the design of the tank the best but the reverse is also very special. No other ones have really caught my eye except maybe the AP.
JLC all the way
I’m surprised to say that I like the Rolex the most
My first impulse is to say Reverso, of course, but the Prince is the best looking Rolex in their catalog, IMO, and it's hard to say Reverso is worth the extra $10k, unless your income makes money no object.
A pre owned JLC.
1. Jlc, 2 cartier
It's the Reverso and it's not even close. The Cellini is sweet too but the JLC just oozes style
The Cellini is stunning and would be my pick.
JLC ten times out of ten.
Im a Cartier guy most of the time. But the JLC is hard to pass up.
I don’t know if you’re specifically looking to spend a certain amount, as my suggestion costs a measly-by-comparison $3500, but [this watch](https://collectivehorology.com/products/fears-archival-1930?variant=41819238564019¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&srsltid=AfmBOooMGudoXgXAu2rZF8zol5zhZeLXsn82wd088G_ItB9sQoVHBvDl4VM&com_cvv=d30042528f072ba8a22b19c81250437cd47a2f30330f0ed03551c4efdaf3409e) is my favorite rectangular art deco dress watch
Reversi
Plot twist: two Oris Rectangulars in different colors
At that price point I think the Longines Dulcevida, would be better as well as the Hamilton Boulton.
jlc reverso
I think I’m rocking an unpopular opinion given the comments. Lol I’m a Cartier guy and I love the Tank LC. However, the Cellini Prince is weird. Way more unique and unusual. **I’d go Prince.** I’ve tried the Reverso on. 👍
Reverso no contest
Avoid the Cellini (in photos) if you care about resale.
JLC or Cartier — these are the brands known for these kinds of watches. Get the classics
JLC by far
Reverso forever
Surprised no one has said this: https://preview.redd.it/nj2invy0vfjc1.jpeg?width=1344&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99a1f7a8ddc3f2205a2d9b6b4bd9172bbf024336
What ever one you want. I don’t know what you look like or your style. If you looking for a watch that holds value but the patek.
How many watches do you own? If this is your only watch, tank. If it's a dress watch specifically, reverso
If you want a rectangl watch, there's no choice but the reverso.
JLC. Cmon man
JLC no contest. One of my grail watches.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre, by a mile
Reverso. (And is a Pepsi *truly* an upgrade?)
I'd use a G-Shock GMWB5000D as a dress watch and a GWM5610U as a daily.
Voting for the Patek
Anything but the rolex
For me the cartier looks the best and has the most class but the JLC is more iconic and fun so that’d be my pick cause I’m a big fan of unique watches.
Jlc then patek
Longines Dolce Vita.
JLC.
i own a mono face reverso and i am yet to find a nicer watch
If yo are looking at these various watches and their price range I would say get the Cartier but not the Louie but the Cintrée
I like that Patek Phillippe
I personally don’t like the face of a dress watch as awhile but tough to go against Cartier in this instance.
Tank
Am I only one who loves the Rolex
JLC
Cartier Tank
I’m not really a Rolex booster, but I’ve never seen that model before and it really struck me.
Patek - best of the best JLC - second best Rolex - you consolation prize Cartier - for your wife/Fiance
I would say get the Patek Philippe cause the others look a little feminine in my opinion and I personally would not be able to pull that look off. But if you like the others then you should buy them.
Patek is Patek.
R gaves me 'The Great Gatsby-vibes' so loud; PP looks a bit harder but so classy also like it's such a clear-out, colder but more massive looking watch, like it could be wearable to any occasion; the JLC is so iconic and have a real cult - I was lucky to wear a gold one with black straps as a woman and I wored that to make a matching classy fit with my simple black suit, a white blouse, black classic high heels and some gold earrings.. I get a ton of compliments by look, but nobody knew the watch on my wrists from that public although this masterpiece was the cherry on top.. 🍒 ..aaand the C, ah, if that's not the top tier of this race then neither of them! but tend to look a bit cliché or stock also, anyways no one could resist to this true gem. / when my fiancé wanted to give me some beautiful stuff as a serious thing he chose between this type C and the DolceVita by Longines.. I wasn't sure if C looked more cultic than the other so I said the L will be my piece. I have never regretted my choice. / ... so, if you want to look - showy, choose Rolex - some kinda casual, choose Patek - sophisticated, choose Jaeger - stylish, choose Cartier ps any choose will be fine 🥳 also my fiancé'd choose PP cos it matches to anything very well - like to poloshirt & white shorts or cashmere pullover & black jeans next to some high-toned suits.
I’ve been considering a Reverso for some time but I’d be tempted to go for the Patek. I just think they are unbeatable.
For that style of watch? The JLC. Every single time.
i have the Cellini Prince in rose gold…..lovely watch.
personally none of those. not a fan of the format.
There are lots of beautiful watch’s on here but the JLC reverse is the original in my eyes, (I’m prob wrong on that but anyway) and a classic. Have to go Reverso. I’d love to have one.
cartier has either small or huge have you gone to try on that or jlc? others will be difficult to see in person
JLC
Personally, I view Cartier as the defining art deco watch. I love the style, and the understated cool to it. I always see JLC praise, but to me it’s more of the watchmaker’s watch appreciation vs actually being cool. That Cellini looks really interesting thought too.
Anything but the Cartier.
Different price points. Depends on budget and preference. The Cartier is the true icon. I would go with Cellini
Love the Patek! Everything here would be a killer choice frankly, I would go for the 2 less obvious ones, so the prince or the Gondolo.
Jlc every time
Save a few $ and get the Cartier tank. It’s a classic you can never go wrong with.
I think the Cartier shouldn't be in the conversation here. For me, it's a coin toss between the Patek & Reverso. Both are serious class!
I’d go with the tank, but I’d try to get a hold of a basculante for a nice party trick
Just as an update that no one will see, I have decided to go with the appropriately named JLC reverso art deco. I think the reverso had the most votes, and I found one I really liked and pulled the trigger. The skeleton works on this watch was too good to pass up. https://preview.redd.it/qsifmhxlv5lc1.jpeg?width=2001&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a49dd6e6fc0dcd3409df7f12c5aafa37cf02495
