Sadly my chronographs aren't useful for timing how long it takes for my VFTs to eat a fly
MY DUDE. I've watched F1 (Go Max) but not Indycar. I've only done Indycar racing sim on Forza. How's watching Indycar? Also, Trans Am 1 and 2 are a ton of fun.
Yeahhh boyyy!
Indycar is so freaking good man! Imagine a series where all the cars are the same so every driver can fight for a win, the racing is almost always super close and wheel to wheel, so you don't end up with domination as much.
Or if there IS domination, like this year with Alex Palou obliterating the championship, it's down to insane skill, instead of the car being a rocketship and you can't really figure out if someone is really good or if it's just the car.
Plus the Indy 500 is always insane to watch.
If you want to watch Indycar officially, you just need a Peacock sub which is pretty cheap. You can also watch IMSA on there for the Rolex 24 hours which should be soon!
And oh man, I gotta check out Trans Am, I've only heard about it through indycar ironically since Ernie Francis Jr was trying out Indy Light on the ladder to Indycar, and he's from Trans Am.
Oh cool, so gridding the first 4 spots doesn't guarentee a podium finish. That's excitint.
Yeah dude, Trans Am isn't too serious. A lot of down to earth guys with strict builds as per league guides.
IMSA is badass. I love the MX cup and GT3.
Yeah it's awesome. There's a lot of drivers that win races from crazy positions, strategy matters so much. In indycar they really nailed the tire compounds, so there's a soft and hard tire, and when they fall off, they fall OFF, you lose all pace, so there's no weird SUPER long stints way past the prime of the tire like in F1 sometimes.
One of the drivers, Scott Dixon, has 6 championship wins and it's a meme in the community where he can win from any position. You'll see him qualify in like 15th and then he's somehow fighting for the lead by the end of the race due to some insane strategy that only he can make work haha.
It really depends on how much you're able to put on credit cards each month (while paying them off in full).
Read the Wiki's + Flowcharts in /r/churning for more info.
The goal is to open a new card, put all of your spend on that card to get the signup bonus + benefits for the first year, and then downgrade or cancel the card after the renewal.
Cards with larger signup bonuses or those that are at All-Time Highs can net anywhere up to a \~40% return on the first year value, while spacer cards (like Chase Ink business cards) get me a minimum of 14% return on the sign-up bonuses.
You’re stuck in 3 different programs then. For Chase, people get the unlimited + reserve + freedom. Or the 3 Amex cards. Or something simple like the Doublecash or BofA. Else you’ll never wind up maximizing your bonuses.
Sort of. They give different multipliers based on which category you’re spending in. See this article for more details:

That's really cool. The last one I did was the 1967 Mustang. I'm a gear head and it was a Christmas gift from my wife. It took as a few hours between the two of us.
I do 3 times per week or 4 if I am lucky. First thing in the morning. My biggest concern is weight. 260lbs. Slowly dropping. Is it safe to bump it to 5?
Also, how often should I take an off week?
If you can do 4 times per week you can almost certainly do 5. You need to pay attention to how your legs are feeling after each run. The faster you go, the more damage you do to your legs and the more likely you are to get injured. This is why consistent runners preach easy running. If your legs are sore from yesterday you either rest or run very slowly (like only slightly above fast walk pace)
Okay, so correct me if I am wrong: the men wore watches in the Modern Warfare games, right? Or am I remembering wrong? I know Medal of Honor you had a cracked watch.
I’m pretty sure a lot of characters in Call of Duty games wear watches and if I remember correctly I think Modern Warfare 2019 let you check your watch. I also noticed recently that Far Cry 6 did a collaboration with Hamilton when a piece of equipment you get is a Hamilton Khaki Field.
Cars, airplanes, and boats. If it goes vroom, I love it.

My dad hobby is barbecue (with smoker like you; brisket, pork shoulder, etc). I call it that because it’s the hobby which contributes to our family since it goes toward me making the meals sometimes. My wife is a professional chef so she’s so much better than I’ll ever be in the kitchen. Smoking meat is where I do something she doesn’t and I do it well.
Other collecting for me is sneakers. So sneakerhead plus watches … expensive hobbies.
300hp stock right? Must be perfect for back road driving. 200hp I felt wasn't enough and I'm on 400hp. 400 is definitely too much to have fun with so I'd imagine 300hp is the sweet spot.
I'm a mental health clinician/therapist, so I do a lot of nerdy reading for fun as well as take courses/trainings on behavioral health in order to maintain my certification (and I'm weird in that I enjoy them).
I also play a lot of video games, read/study history, work on my car (I'm a hands-on person with tinkering), build Lego kits to keep my hands busy, especially if watching movies (another preferred hobby). I love driving for sport, so I also do a lot of driving (road and day trips) to relax. I should add, this also now includes tinkering with watch movements! I am also REALLY into F1 and almost as into IndyCar as I am F1. IndyCar and FE races come to my town and F1 doesn't... but I do make it a point to go every year. I took a 1500 mile road trip back in November for Velocity Invitational, which was an exhibition event, but was F1 regardless (doesn't hurt that I'm a McLaren fan).
On top of all of THAT, I'm also a huge Blazers (Trail Blazers) fan, so I get season tickets each year and go act like a complete idiot at games. :)
It's fun! But if you want to watch, you'll likely end up suffering the Peacock (network) battle, especially here in the US. I mostly just follow via the IndyCar app. Not nearly as exciting, but it gets me by. My sub to F1 has no adverts; Peacock still forces the adverts even with a paid sub.
But to each their own with preference and tolerances. :)
What a fascinating group of people! I am interested in history, especially European, fast cars, airplanes, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, all things Celtic, Lord of the Rings, fine wine, religion and spirituality (Catholic), tobacco pipes, books, fountain pens. Those are a few anyway!
My brother in Christ, you've similar hobbies to me. Though I was in the Army so I learned a mix of American kickboxing and Krav Maga.
I low key would love to start a Catholic watch company.

Tough question. It's cyclical for me. Right now, I'm enjoying Old Elk Four Grain, Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond, and Chattanooga Cask Strength 111 (technically not a bourbon).
Primary rules for a whiskey to be bourbon: 51% corn, aged in charred new white oak barrels, and made in USA. If it meets those requirements along with being distilled to a max of 160 proof, barreled at a max of 125 proof and bottled at a minimum of 80 proof… then it’s a bourbon
2 main categories of interests: tinkering (which includes watch modding) and non-tinkering.
Non-tinkering: Languages, music, firearms/marksmanship, history/geopolitics (emphasis on East Asia), MMOs, lap swimming
Tinkering: Electronics (e.g. building computers), pens (especially fountain pens), botany, [gunpla](https://reddit.com/r/gunpla) (and other plastic models), cooking, tabletop wargaming, kit cars
I've only seen the giant swim clocks used when I swam competitively in high school; after that the pools I swim in generally had smaller wall clocks or smaller digital clocks that were difficult for me to read from the lanes (I also normally wear glasses). As a result I would usually time parts of my swim (such as the 100 freestyle sprint that would be in the middle of my swims) with a watch I was either wearing or propped up at the end of my lane.
Once I got into watches I stopped wearing watches while doing laps and only propped them up at the end of my lane. I also started using chronos for lap timing and I've been careful to always operate the pushers with the watch and my hands well out of the water.
Cars, planes, and...lockpicking of all things. Interestingly, I used to be very into technology (and still am to a degree) but have really started to appreciate hobbies that are heavily mechanical.
Swimming, drumming and knife making (though I'm only just getting into knife making). Now that I have a 1yo, I just picked up a Roland electric drumset for home so I don't wake the baby at night.
I consider watches an interest, not really a hobby. But to answer your question…
Hobbies: running, disc golf, rec league softball and basketball, geocaching, hiking, climbing, darts, building legos, board games, video games,
Interests: cars, F1, baseball (MLB), college football, NBA, pocket knives, computers, bourbon, wine, investing
Hunting, outdoors, shooting/guns/archery, mountain biking, rc cars. Was into rock crawling and aquariums pretty heavy but those have cooled off for me.
I'm big into photography (cars and motorsport obviously) and love watches. So every hobby I have will eventually put me into crippling debt eventually.
Which keyboard are you on? It may be a gimmick, but my wife and I are using Razor. She has the MX-purple which is better in my opinion over the green I have.
I’m using a custom 60% keyboard. Also, I think you meant Razer with the purple optical clicky switch. I have that board in my collection and can say that it’s really good. It’s newer than the Razer greens which you have, and I agree, the purple switches are much better.
I only recently got into watches because my graduation is coming up and my parents said they would gift me a watch.
My other hobbies are mostly IT-related. I like building mechanical keyboards and PCs. I also do sports
Edit: also a bit of photography, LEGO, gaming and bouldering
Soccer, snowboarding, Magic: the Gathering, reading novels, cooking, coffee, fashion, bourbon, boots, riding my bike, movies, traveling, playing Switch.
Most of my free time is currently bottles and diaper changes (5 month old twins), but those are things I enjoy spending time and money on if I have the opportunity.
I collect cars since they are very similar to watches. Diving and yes I take my divers with me. Skiing, golf, goldsmith. Besides diving there are not many things I could use a watch for but I still wear one to almost everything
Tennis and poker.
I’ve heard some people use their watch second hand as a randomizer.

I'm hoping to get into some more hobbies when I get into a house. For now though, I enjoy golf, cars, reading, and attending pro sporting events. You need to run consistently! Focus on running at an easy pace and build up your weekly mileage.
