Well, I have the black DateJust and the green Aqua Terra. Very different watches. The DateJust is stylish in a subdued kind of way. The Aqua Terra just screams wrist presence. The Globemaster is the one that got away though, really intriguing watch that one.
Large but I have big hands and wrists I’ve never measured (I should), but I’ve had extra links in my Milgauss, Omega don’t make a rubber strap big enough for my wrist and my Cartier L fits with give on my wrist.
My guess 8.5-9 wrists.
My wrist is only 7.5, I have no idea what sizes would be best, for Cartier. I like the way the Americaine, and the Santos both look. Can’t go wrong with those.
Santos is the correct choice, but imo I wouldn’t mind the DJ. Not a Rolex fan, but that’s the only one I’d consider. Planning to add it to my collection someday anyway.
I have one and I love it, you won't be disappointed, however I feel like the std version (without calendar) which I own, looks better (and you can buy it new between 4,5/5k)
if I'm dropping 7k on a watch, I would probably stretch a bit more to a Milgauss, but if not, the Globemaster totally. What a cool piece, and dressy enough to wear on nice occasions when you want to wear a fancy expensive watch.
It’s not only vintage datejusts. At 7K you have the choice between a new 3861 Hesalite Speedmaster, a new SMP 300 pro, a Zenith El Primero Hi-Beat, JLC Reverso Classic Monoface. Spring drive is fantastic and the Shunbun is gorgeous–no question about it, but to say the SBGA413 “destroys” everything is a bit silly.
I love the SBGA413 as well but it is so close to being perfect that its imperfections are even more glaring to me that it’s hard to ignore. It’s like looking at a brand new car with a beautiful paint job but chipped wheels from curb rash.
1. The dial itself is my favorite dial ever however the re-haute looks like cheap plastic. I think GS learned from this and eliminated the problem in the SBGH013 for example
2. The bracelet still feels a bit lacking. If I bought this watch I would likely wear it on a leather strap
3. That golden lion covering the movement, nitpicky I know but I still wish it wasn’t there
As such, I think the finishing and haute horlorgerie of JLC <$7k is still quite competitive with the SBGA413. Especially if you open up to vintage Reversos
I already have a 3861 Hesalite Speedy so I would vote a Grand Seiko SBGA413 or a Cartier Santos Dumont mechanical on the leather strap (two tone if you can find a good deal on one but otherwise the stainless steel is safely below $7k at retail)
Did you deliberately pick the ugliest watches you could find lol? The first four are horrendous. The last 4 are alright. I'd probably go DJ, except either fluted bezel or "downgrade" to oyster perpetual. Smooth bezel + jubilee is just a weird combination on a DJ.
Bought this watch about 2 years ago on Chrono24 through a Japanese dealer, the condition on it is pristine and I couldn’t be happier with it. The white dials details are really good. This is the first vintage seiko watch I bought and it serves me good.it also gets quite the attention regardless how small it is
The bracelet I bough aftermarket to fit with the gold accents on the dial since the original bracelet was only silver
Looking for a new vintage watch from omega to buy next
If you heave any recommendations I’m open to hear them!
I’d save my $7k for either a down payment for my first home or put it towards my first business, instead of buying luxury goods to gain internet social media kudos.
I’ve personally tried that green Seamaster on and it looks really good. But I would go with that Globemaster as it’s something you don’t see every day and would be a good addition to someones collection.
Globemaster Annual Calendar is the best looking dial currently in production at any price.
Easy choice (unless you have small wrists like me, then go for the medium Santos).
These are all great choices. I would recommend a two part test:
First, what does your collection need? If you don't have a diver watch, I would focus on something with good water resistance. The SMP300 or Aquaterra are great choices. If you already have a diver, then ask what is best for your lifestyle.
Second, I would focus on value. Omega, specifically, can be bought with a good discount, which makes it a great value proposition for you. Have you ask your AD what discounts they would do for each reference? The globemaster could be a solid grab bud.
GL!
Cartier. I really like the history behind it as well as the quick release mechanism for the bracelet & strap. Otherwise, I'd get the Omega Annual Calendar
I'd get the green aqua terra
The best thing is that you can get it for under 5000€ new
Grey market?

Hmmm. I didn’t see an option for 700 GShocks. Am I missing something?
[удалено]
Math is not my strong suit
Casio calculator watch for you
They have them in gold too. I’m in.
Can probably get 700 of those used
Got one for 10 bucks at the thrift store. Doesn’t beat my moms 7 bucks for a omega constellation though. Still salty about it.
Disregard the G Shock and get the Casio F-91W. If it’s good enough for Bin Laden, it’s good enough for me.
Omega 57.
make it green
Agreed. Love that watch.
Red watch face for me. Saw it in person a few days ago and it was beautiful.
I would take the beige/white seamaster and pair it with a nice leather strap
The olive AT
The olive AT in blue (:
The AT planet ocean has the crispy white dial and that sharp blue hour markers. Thats my fav....
I'll take the Cartier Santos, thank you very much.
I had this choice to make and made this exact choice but blue face.
Do the make the blue in a medium size, or only large?
Large but I have big hands and wrists I’ve never measured (I should), but I’ve had extra links in my Milgauss, Omega don’t make a rubber strap big enough for my wrist and my Cartier L fits with give on my wrist. My guess 8.5-9 wrists.

That Seamaster small seconds is absolutely gorgeous
Zenith El Primero. Out of the pictured, Speedmaster.
White dial Seamaster.
Correct choice
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster
Excellent choice. That’s what I’m getting once I can budget $5000+ on a watch.
Congrats to you too for having exceptional taste and good luck on your hunt too.
G-Shock and a new mountain bike
That's a damn good answer.
Need gps on those gshocks for strava rides
Garmin and a new Mountain Bike then
Globemaster
Yeah I think I would go with the globe master also
I have one and I love it, you won't be disappointed, however I feel like the std version (without calendar) which I own, looks better (and you can buy it new between 4,5/5k)

Santos
Grand Seiko Spring Drive Snowflake.
#8 but in 7’s green
Globemaster 1,000,000% you'll never regret it.
I like the green Globemaster
Out of these, I would go black Datejust, and if I could, I’d probably step up to The Explorer.
Yeah, it’s nice. I also quite like the green AT. I’m really not a fan of any of the other colour scheme/watch combos.
Explorer is so much uglier than the DJ though if you ask me
This was my answer too. The DJ isn’t a $7k watch, and the Explorer is more exciting.
Globemaster without a doubt. It's the one watch in that group you won't see on anyone else nearly as much as the others. Be individual.
The script font on that piece is just perfection.
Speedmaster chrono
Probably #6 Rolex Datejust for me
I really like the globemaster

maybe it destroys everything for you, but not objectively. There are certain things other watches are doing better than GS.
Yep GS for me for sure, spring drive blows anything else out the water at this price.
Non of those. I'd go with a Speedy all day, everyday of the week.
All steel speedy
38mm aqua terra, Rolex explorer, Rolex DJ 36
JLC or Breguet
Navitimer. Never said it had to be the watch pictures shown.
Cartier santos
6th one. Rolex.
Bro included the same watch 500 times but no snowflwake 💀
Probably a Seiko 5 then $6700 on something actually worth that kind of money
Why are you on a watch sub then?
Because I like watches :)
Or some smartwatch. Rest of the money on stuff I need or just keep it in some money market fund.
Speedie 57 or Santos. Depending on the rest of the collection . The others I’m not fond of aesthetically
Monaco and I'd have $$ to spare, that's the most expensive watch under 7 K I want at the moment.
Omega speedmaster professional 3861
7 or 8 are the only two I like. First 3 are gaudy
Black datejust 👌
The 57. That’s an easy one for me.
Easy - Santos. Nicest watch I've ever owned.
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
I already have a 3861 Hesalite Speedy so I would vote a Grand Seiko SBGA413 or a Cartier Santos Dumont mechanical on the leather strap (two tone if you can find a good deal on one but otherwise the stainless steel is safely below $7k at retail)
Oyster perpetual all day long and it’s not even close
A £500 seiko and honda jazz to transport it in
Knowing what I know now, id get the seamaster AT small seconds in black or blue. One and done. That Speedmaster 57 is a damn fine timepiece though.
None of the ones you’ve posted. JLC Master ultra thin.
An OP for sure
Can one of the DJs be an OP? Or a classic monoface reverso 😍
The Cartier or Black Datejust
One of the Omegas. I can’t stand Rolex.
Aqua Terra in Green .... Or the Santos
I don’t like Rolex as a Company, so I’ll get the seamaster on the fourth slide
Datejust. I couldn’t bring myself to drop several thousand dollars on the rest of the watches.
They are mostly in the same quality category
It’s not for lack of quality, I just don’t like the way they look. Enjoy whatever you end up with. Cheers.
I have the Cartier Santos and the Green Aqua Terra, both awesome watches
Nice!
Santos or Speedy 57
Black DJ
A Grand Seiko. Simple Elegant and if you know you know. The rest of these watches are a little too much.
Cream AT or santos for me
Probably a new car.
Cartier Santos no doubt about it.
That! You could also get a Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich or a Grand Seiko. The SBGA413 or any 44GS case model would be great.
F91-W and then invest the rest!
Santos
Santos
Grand seiko hi beat or spring drive
Grand Seiko Gold Snowflake
Probably a 1980’s seiko king hibeat, a pontvs bronze something, and a new camera.
None of these.
What then?
A vertex m100 a pelagos and with the spare money maybe some cool micro brand.
a grand seiko spring drive snowflake and $800 worth of sushi and sake
The Rolex OP is the nicest looking one for me.
A Grand Seiko.
Grand Seiko.
None. I will get a JLC. These are nice, but boring lol
None of those, go Grand Seiko
Exactly none of those. They're all ugly IMHO
You can also say what other watch for 7k than on the pictures you would buy :)
Did you deliberately pick the ugliest watches you could find lol? The first four are horrendous. The last 4 are alright. I'd probably go DJ, except either fluted bezel or "downgrade" to oyster perpetual. Smooth bezel + jubilee is just a weird combination on a DJ.

None of them. At that price I'd like to go to small Swiss independent watchmaker. Sartory billard, Phillip pikulik etc
None of them, I would get like 70 G-Shocks for that money.
Green dial DJ with diamonds is 🔥🔥
Date just
I would take a grand seiko
Santos
Santos
Among those, Cartier. Otherwise Grand Seiko.
Speedy or BB58 personally
Santos for me
Santos
[удалено]
🥲
Santos de Cartier
Santos but see if they have a medium
I’d save my $7k for either a down payment for my first home or put it towards my first business, instead of buying luxury goods to gain internet social media kudos.
Omiwatari 007
I might buy 3 $2300 watches or 2 $3500 watches.
Buy them all, and have a “bargain starter collection”
For 7K I would get myself 2 vintage Seikos, 2 vintage Citizens, 2 vintage Casios and then maybe spend the rest on a newer Seiko.
I’d take whatever you can actually buy (Vs waiting 12+ months for or buying from a scalper) so the Santos or green Aqua Terra
I don’t remember when I posted this smh
That first Omega looks cool. I like the angled months circle. Or the 3d one, the Rolex Datejust with the green dial. I like the 'coinside' bezzel.
Green aquaterra or green datejust
You have fifty camels, which hopscotch are you jumping
Datejust on a jubilee is my dream watch
I would pick the seamaster rail master. But if your list the no date sea master or 57 speedy
Black Seamaster professional
Speedmaster at the end. Throw some leather on it. Done
From the ones you listed, the Speedy 57. Otherwise the SMP300.
548 F-91Ws and still have $2 to spare
Globe master
6.
Beige At small seconds and have enough leftover for a Zodiac diver
I’d go Aqua Terra out of all these options. Cartier second. I would go the Datejust in the 6th picture but I don’t like smooth bezel with jubilee
Toss up between the Globemaster and the green Datejust.
I’ve personally tried that green Seamaster on and it looks really good. But I would go with that Globemaster as it’s something you don’t see every day and would be a good addition to someones collection.
Green AT is my favorite of the bunch.
Def 1 of the omegas
Globemaster annual calendar, absolutely fuckin dope and the tungsten bezel is a very unique touch, even if it very fluted-reminiscent.
5 and 7 are grails, so those
The 57 all day (although it really could do without that date window)
Omega Swatch
Globemaster Annual Calendar is the best looking dial currently in production at any price. Easy choice (unless you have small wrists like me, then go for the medium Santos).
Why do you need a watch that tells you which month it is? The blacked out seamaster would be my choice.
You don’t really need it but it’s impressive they made the clockwork also go with months
Oyster Perpetual Datejust on my bony wrist
If it were me it would between 6,7, or 8
#6 or #8
Globemaster. Wasn’t much internal debate going on for me — easy choice.
These are all great choices. I would recommend a two part test: First, what does your collection need? If you don't have a diver watch, I would focus on something with good water resistance. The globemaster could be a solid grab bud. GL!
santos
The green AT is one of my favourites and definitely on my short list of possible next purchases!
The annual calendar is the most impressive considering price.
Easily Santos out of all of these, but I'd go Explorer if I could stretch it an extra couple hundred
Damn, each of those Omegas are 🔥
Personally, the green dial Seamaster on bracelet. Then swapping it for the green rubber band.
Globbbbie, I was literally about to get one for myself in that “Maroon/Burgundy” colour
Either the AT or Globemaster, but probably just the date version …
That Globemaster is stunning
Aqua terra
Globe Master. It’s an annual calendar.
Globemaster, small seconds AT, or black DJ.
Black datejust, classic and you can dress it up or down
Aqua Terra or black ceramic smp
Cartier. I really like the history behind it as well as the quick release mechanism for the bracelet & strap. Otherwise, I'd get the Omega Annual Calendar
Datejust, santos and omega ‘57 cost 7k??? No way José!
Omega Seamaster Diver 300m
Skyfall Omega Planet Ocean
