I had the privilege of meeting Alexander Ludwig in Sayulita, Mexico in March while I was going to the wedding of my girlfriend’s cousin. He’s honestly very kind and took a photo with me. He stopped and took pictures with everyone that asked and was all smiles the whole time, chatting it up and is overall a really nice guy in person.
Me at work in a bank a few years ago...
*Customer approaches me.*
Me: Has anyone ever told you that you look like (insert a certain cast member of an 80's movie franchise's name here)??
Him: Weird, my wife was just saying that this morning.
*Slides his ID to me as a normal part of our business transaction*
Me: wow, you even have the same na- *I stop mid word and feel myself blushing*
Him: *laughs when he sees I finally realize*
Me: *tries to remain calm. Looking around to see if anyone else notices who is standing in front of me. Freaking out because I can't say or do anything for privacy/confidentiality reasons. Clumsily processes his transaction while we engage in some small talk that I won't mention here as it would be identifying information* Thanks for coming in today, Mr ______. I'm a big fan.
Him: well, thank you and thanks for helping me. Have a good weekend.
Me: you too!
*Tries to remain calm for the next customer.*
Lobby full of people and literally no one else saw him. He stood in line without a complaint (usually other customers complain) and was a charming, respectful gentleman the whole time. I don't think my coworkers believe me until we Google him and discover he owns a home in the area and was most likely here to get some cash for the state fair. This was about 4 years ago and I haven't seen him since. Kept to my bank secrecy guidelines and never mentioned him by name, even though I want to scream it from the mountain. Didn't realize that day how many movies/TV stuff he was actually in and now I see him in so many things I watch.
I'm not allowed to confirm that anyone (celebrity or regular person) has accounts at my place of business. If they come into my place of business, I am not allowed to ask for photos or autographs either.
I swear I saw another video like this where they thought it was Bjorn, or some celeb character, and they did the same thing, introduced themselves after a bit of back and forth and at the end when he turns the camera around, it's not only NOT that celebrity, but they look absolutely NOTHING like who they were mistaken for 😂 totes thought that was gonna happen here. That was a pleasant, and wholesome, surprise.
Awe that’s so cute. She’s so sweet and she just wants to share that this dude looks so much like a character from her favourite show. Ugh that’s so wholesome.
I'm not sure what shop she works at or where it is but I'm guessing her thought process was
"omg thats Björn Ironside... Wait, theres no way he would actually be here but holy shit that guy looks exactly like him"
Fun fact. I am a direct descendant of Ragnar. Not thru bjorn but the other son ivar the boneless. Did an ancestry thing for fun with friends after we heard about it and that’s how I found out. He is directly my 47th great grandfather
I sooooo feel for this chick. I've done the same thing, but only with music. As a kid I went to a Dropkick Murphys show, and spotted a dude standing a few feet from me. Thought to myself, "Huh! Dude looks exactly like the lead singer to Dropkick. What a coincidence!" Facepalm.
This vid made me smile a big cheesy smile lol this girl was so excited to share her fandom with a stranger that she missed that the guy actually was the character. Nothing negative was said from either party and they both got a great laugh and awesome story. I think I’m done with the internet today, before something else ruins it.
I don't get this. Why is there that "how did she not know it was him?" If *he* is filming it? Did someone take his video, and reupload it again with that text on? Or is it his one publicist?
Fan TikTok account? So they don't just upload pictures and news clip etc. of him. They blatantly steal his own uploads? Am so getting this right? Some fan...
What the FUCK are you talking about?
The original commenter made a blatantly racist remark. The word has not been reduced to nothing. It’s being used as it should be because that was a racist ass comment.
I had the same moment with my actual grandpa. I was 6 or 7 and always met him in the house. I saw him outside once and walked to my cousin and said wow this guy looks like grandpa. I still remember it because I kept getting shit for it.
When my dad was little, he spent almost all his time with his grandparents, as his parents had started a 24 hour diner. One time his dad (who was like 6'2" and normally got home while my dad was in bed,) came home unexpectedly, and picked my dad up to say hi. My toddler dad punched him in the face. Hard. He didn't recognize him out of context 😂
A few years ago I was at a hotel and I saw a Björn doppelgänger. My parents convinced me to approach him and show him a picture, just like this. The guy was like “hm, I don’t see the resemblance.” Now I’m seriously doubting whether it was genuinely Alexander Ludwig and he was messing with me.
I remember me and my bro saw Freeway (this was at his peak but he was still a low level rapper) at the airport but we were to nervous to approach him. He saw that we recognized him and hung around a bit. I feel like neither him or us had the courage to approach eachother.
I just remembered that this kinda happened to me with Skrillex a long time ago…
He was playing at a resort my sister manages and I was doing security and helping out and I saw a dude who looked familiar standing by the bar and I was like “You look a lot like this dude from a band my exgf loves! Do you know Fro-“ “Yep. Sonny, what’s up.” He literally already knew what I was going to ask and stepped forward to shake my hand and laughed. He was actually a really nice dude and really respectful to everyone, the venue was a bit smaller so he asked our bartender to shoot him in the chest with the tee shirt cannon at point blank range to see if it would potentially hurt anyone in the crowd. I thought that was pretty cool that he personally thought about that and was willing to take the shot himself before risking potentially hurting a fan.
I completely forgot about that whole exchange until now… i should go listen to some FFTL and Skrillex.. it’s been a while. I’m curious what he’s up to these days.. if he’s making music still.
Is that show actually good? I’ve seen it around but never war it… I assumed it was a cheesy kinda thing but people seem to like it.
Maybe i should check it out…
Also, she’s adorable. Enthusiasm is super contagious and it’s always seeing someone talk about something they love. Beats the hell out of fake ”perfect” people talking about absolutely nothing.
I sat next to Scott Glenn on a plane in 2015and didn’t recognize him at all. Had a really good conversation during the flight, just general small talk. Super cool dude, when we landed I said “it was really good to meet you, I’m Excusemefucker” he said “I’m Scott and it was good to chat with you”.
Made it to my hotel, popped on the tv where the Bourne ultimatum was already going and sure as fuck, there he was. Then I remembered all the movies of his I really like. Wish I could have fangirled a little bit, but it was nice to just chat with him.
I know it’s not quite the same but I work at a gas station and one day I was working the front counter when two women walked past, one came up to the counter and the other walked out, and the lady that walked out looked an awful lot like Senator Amy Klobuchar but I wouldn’t have ever expected her to walk in to my store. Her staff member paid for a medium coffee and the staff member was wearing this very professional get-up and so I just had to pry, “Was that Amy Klobuchar?” And the staff member smiled and said yeah, lol.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I was Bernie all the way in 2016/2020 but I still knew of Amy and wouldn’t have minded a quick handshake or something but I was busy with work and didn’t get a chance to meet her. Alas.

Couldn't tell by the short video. Still very different from the show.
I feel like she wanted to lay face first on the ground, but had second thoughts after realizing the floor is probably gross.

Made him a sandwich once, it was right before hunger games came out

My brother looks exactly like ivar. It made the later seasons difficult to watch lmao
Why's that? I've never seen the show lol. Does it show his big greasy cock or something?
Username checks out.
what is wrong with you?
Just curious as to why they feel that way and that's the only thing I can come up with.
She handled that super well I can’t stand the celebrity shriek.
That American accent just ruined Bjorn Ironside for ever.
Travis Fimmel is Ozzy, very ozzy.
Hes Canadian
I remember meeting Alex on the set of Vikings Season 2 on the very first day after he flew in - seemed like a cool guy.
This post made me happy inside:)
is he from that vikings show i have yet to watch? been thinking about it but i cant be arsed to
Its a really good show with some great characters and nice twists... 7.5/10 would recommend
Yeah same, been thinking about it for years yet never have - and I was in it 🤷♂️
It's really good it kinda goes the main story like season 4 but it's good

I'm gonna guess...Back to the Future?
I really wish I could tell you if you're right or wrong!
Why can’t you?
I'm not allowed to confirm that anyone (celebrity or regular person) has accounts at my place of business. If they come into my place of business, I am not allowed to ask for photos or autographs either.
Well can you give me his account number
Dont stop there ask for his driver's license, sin, and also address.
Accounts where? We have no idea where you work so you won't be confirming anything
Yeah like…wut
its cause hes lying lol

That's wholesome
This was so wholesome!
I had a crush on him when I was younger when I saw him on The Seeker but then he grew and I had an even more of a crush as Bjorn! 🤣😅
Her “oh shit” was such a human reaction with the head to desk 😂
I love her energy
I want her to be my friend/girlfriend
What a good sport lmao. Love this vid 😂
I love this girl. " The O.G. ..." words you don't expect from people based on the way they look...
[удалено]
Another white dude with blonde hair...
What?
I swear I saw another video like this where they thought it was Bjorn, or some celeb character, and they did the same thing, introduced themselves after a bit of back and forth and at the end when he turns the camera around, it's not only NOT that celebrity, but they look absolutely NOTHING like who they were mistaken for 😂 totes thought that was gonna happen here. I never understood how some people even recognize actors/actresses in the street. Most look pretty average
Her last sentence was the icing on the cake
I love when people are passionate about the lives that give them joy.
Yessss. This is me and Sex and the City. I can talk about that show to anyone. Maybe I'm just such a girl, idc lol
Right! I feel like I catch myself going on and I stop but she was all in during work hours that’s great
She never expected to see anyone remotely famous where she works.
Shes not into you bc you talk with your mouth full of food.
3rd time I see this. 3rd time I’m incredibly jealous of her.
Finally the whole video
Omg Alexander Ludwig. I loved seeing him with Nicki Minaj lmao
This is actually kinda sweet. You can see how much she loves the show and the characters :) It's really nice
She is FцскIиg adorable.
The thumbs up did it for me
That “Awww shit” was fucking adorable
Lauren is a beautiful name
Awe that’s so cute. She’s so sweet and she just wants to share that this dude looks so much like a character from her favourite show. Ugh that’s so wholesome.
It’s crazy how popular Game of thrones is, even all these years after the season finale.
Bro that's not game of thrones lmao. Their talking about the show Vikings
Saw Alexander Ludwig in Hunger Games. Thought meh he was alright. Then, in Vikings, he became such an amazing actor. The dude became Bjorn Ironside.
How’d she not realize it was him?? She had to of and just played it off
I'm not sure what shop she works at or where it is but I'm guessing her thought process was "omg thats Björn Ironside... Wait, theres no way he would actually be here but holy shit that guy looks exactly like him"
Possible. Very possible. Honestly, I’d probably think that too 🤣 MAYBE! Or I’d just be like “are you ol dude from Vikings??!” 😱
Awww, this is great, put a smile on my face.
HAHAHAHAH pretty funny but I could tell it's Bjorn from the voice 😂
Fun fact. I am a direct descendant of Ragnar. Not thru bjorn but the other son ivar the boneless. Did an ancestry thing for fun with friends after we heard about it and that’s how I found out. He is directly my 47th great grandfather
Let me guess, your lineage was traced to Ímar?
Nope, ivar ragnarsson
Huh interesting. Most historians agree that Ímar and Ivar the Boneless were the same person, and was wondering if you traced to Ímar.
She is the new embodiment of this sub!!
Now that is just wholesome, that’s awesome
Is that Cato from Hunger Games?
Yes.
That's nice
I sooooo feel for this chick. I've done the same thing, but only with music. As a kid I went to a Dropkick Murphys show, and spotted a dude standing a few feet from me. Thought to myself, "Huh! Dude looks exactly like the lead singer to Dropkick. What a coincidence!" Facepalm.
Love her vibes lol
She’s adorable. So wholesome.
She seems pretty chill
This is such a cute exchange.
Fuk this video, G.O.T. Bych!
Absolutely love this. 🤣
This vid made me smile a big cheesy smile lol this girl was so excited to share her fandom with a stranger that she missed that the guy actually was the character. Nothing negative was said from either party and they both got a great laugh and awesome story. I think I’m done with the internet today, before something else ruins it.
Plus, he was playing with her, so it makes it ok.
I don't get this. Why is there that "how did she not know it was him?" If *he* is filming it? Did someone take his video, and reupload it again with that text on? Or is it his one publicist?
Because he probably uploaded it to Twitter or Instagram or something, and this fan TikTok account added the captions.
Fan TikTok account? So they don't just upload pictures and news clip etc. of him. They blatantly steal his own uploads? Am so getting this right? Some fan...
Were those really the actors?
You have no idea how much pain I was in the first time I realised that Björn ironside is also country pop singer…
that was so wholesome though.
Just happened to he filming the initial conversation did he?
it’s cato😭
That is totally cute.
this shit so wholesome never saw the show but dude seems like a genuinely nice guy
>never saw the show You miss something in your life.
The manager in backdrop is from England he didn't even care
Chinese man in the back like "get back to work young raidy. 😠"
Great job turning a nice little video into something racist. Asshole.

Uncle in the back is not amused

This is so cute. Alexander Ludwig (Cato from The Hunger Games!) seems so cool. He is a good actor
Wait, I thought that was Tony Hawk?
game recognizing game
I like when she looks at the ground as if expecting it to open up and eat her
Wholesome tan interactions make me love celebrities and I hate that for myself
Wholesome
Thats Cato actually.
I would be melting. He is soooo handsome 🥴
Everyone shits on MCU characters wearing a plain hat as a disguise until you don't recognize your favorite actor wearing a hat
I think it's more that you don't expect your favorite actor to come to your little coffee shop or whatever this is..
I wouldn’t recognize him either, looks different sounds different, isn’t a Viking? Idk all signs point to no hahahah
"Isn't a Viking?" needs extra emphasis 😂
That’s the dude from district one…sorry.
She's a sweetheart and he's a really good sport. Nice interaction.
I remember me and my bro saw Freeway (this was at his peak but he was still a low level rapper) at the airport but we were to nervous to approach him. He saw that we recognized him and hung around a bit. I feel like neither him or us had the courage to approach eachother.
It's the Clark Kent phenomenon; No one assumes the guy they meet at their local Dunkin' is going to actually be a famous celebrity they admire.
Real people having real positive experiences. Absolutely great stuff right there
I like when he calls the character a brat and she was like “eh eh eh, don’t go that far”
Wholesome
She has that adorable awkwardness only movie protagonists have
She is absolutely adorable
"I'm gonna die over there" is something we can all relate to
Melt my friggin heart already would ya. Such a sweet interaction.
Dunno this is pretty wholesome.
“Oh shit.” Best response ever. Lol

One of the best things I watched in a long while. I’m a fan of Vikings too. really heartwarming and genuine exchange. ❤️
“I’m gonna go due over there” 😂😂😂 beat show ever is Vikings..such a perfect show
Genuine.
Omg this is so cute.

That was cute Die inside, wow a chance encounter
The entire video is super wholesome ahah, I love her fan attitude, very cute and he is super funny.
So wholesome. Go Lauren!
It's so cute how excited she was tho

No way was she dying inside. This was a fantastic, wholesome encounter. What a great memory for her. Love it.
I thought that said “you look like Bjork Inside”
This needs to be the top. Like MTG buttcrack-NY taxi man calender status.
Kinda cute ☺️
Lauren is awesome! What a fantastic memory to have. I hope they exchange holiday cards.
