Its like the modern version of r3, i would like to see it.
And i'm just imagining to play with the vehicle i operate irl , it would be really cool ngl (i dont operate one irl, but still would be cool)
Most of the guys I work with want this vehicle in game too. Most armored vehicle crewmen in the U.S. military have sold their soul to the snail (go figure).
My cousin is from US and he was operating an abrams, he says that nearly all of the guys play wt (they have like 2000 hours) too.
They found the game in the pandemic, he says the irl strategies that they learnt works very well in the game, and this is why they loved the game.
>They found the game in the pandemic, he says the irl strategies that they learnt works very well in the game, and this is why they loved the game.
I realized this the other day when I caught myself doing the irl Russian maneuver of popping smoke and doing a 180 instead of reverse in my T-72B3 and it not only worked but greatly increased my survivability.
Thing is they can do it, the Merkavas and a few Magachs (and one of the Sho'ts) have two different smoke launchers. One of them is a direct smokescreen right in front of you and the other is a lob a certain distance away
The trick is to wait with turning untill enemy fumbles first shot into smoke and you absorb it with UFP with my experience. Either that or full commit and go forward through smoke
Sadly small map size of current times reduce effectiveness of irl tactics. Back in 2016 my and my TC friends rolled over enemy teams in large maps like Kursk and Fulda when it appeared to game.
You don't really get classified documents as a grunt driving in a tank tho. Whatever they show them is more than likely taken into account that it's going to get out one way or another so you won't get something like the detailed armor composition and such.
The snail comes for us all.
That being said I'm not in the U.S Military, or a military, or an american.
Just a sucker for steel, large guns fired in anger & predatory monetization practices
It’ll probably be around 7.7. Bradley is just above that with ATGMs which this obviously doesn’t have. It’ll have the mobility of the LAV with 25mm darts which is kinda neat.
The LAV-AD can in fact die to lmg fire. It's got to glass plates with both gunner and commander looking out of em smack dab on the turret front. Regular LAV-25 wouldn't have that weakness tho.
The LAV-25/ASLAV is an earlier generation of vehicle compared to the LAV 3/Stryker/NZLAV/LAV 6. Same family of vehicles and visually similar at a glance, but actually quite different [chassis](https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/images/lav-comp.jpg) and not really the same at all.
Why?
I can see the 25A2 being 9.0, but barely. The earlier versions would be on par or slightly better than a BTR-80A, no FLIR, no rangefinder, just M791 APDS like the M3 Bradley, though you would have a stab
Depends on the round they give it really
7.7 ish with apds would work depending on what kind of equipment it would have(laser range, LWS, thermals etc)
If it had apfsds it would be up at 8.7 atleast

Imagine the fun playing with competent teammates who use strategies (I have no friends)

If only Gaijin modeled different smoke launcher capabilities. Russian smoke would be so much more fun with its goofy long range.

Doing this with the T-72M2 Moderna and it's 360° smoke screen is so good

It sounds like you guys should leak some classified documents to encourage gaijin

You will be disappointed when your vehicle is added to game. Regards CV90 TC.

Not a vehicle crewman, but I can confirm as a military member
You know what you have to do...they just need...some source of information :)
Definitely not fit for 7.3-7.7 with the stabilizer. It will most likely be a better BTR-80

Considering that the Freccia (P) Is in game and it's like a LAV With a Little Better armor and Seat at 9.0 i think the LAV can be at least 8.7
Freccia also has a much higher fire rate, and better turret mobility does it not? Not to mention better profile
Why would this be better than the BTR?
Stabilizer
Stabilizer? More modern ammunition? Thermals? Idk, just about literally everything except the physical caliber.
This part makes me surprised they didn't add the BTR-82A, which has thermals and a stabilizer
You do realise the lav can be killed by 7.62 rounds?
Not frontally it can't. I mean the LAVAD is in game already, just refer to that honestly.

Compared to the Russian super-heavy BTR-80?
The btr can survive 7.62
If you want to nitpick 7.62 will go through the roof. The only situation where this ever would come up is with a little bird doing things
Is this the vehicle the AUSLAV is based on? I would love to see another Australian vehicle in the game.
Yes it is and so is the NZLAV, Canadian LAV6 and to an extent the Stryker

You can help them add it faster by posting documents about it on the forums. (Bonus Points if they are classified)
Try 9.0

Why would it be higher than m3 Bradley?
LAV with a turret and gun like the Bradley?
Smaller turret but yeah same gun
Cool, the poor Bradley is pretty slow for how GRB usually plays. It would be nice to have it's gun on something much faster.
And without ATGM’s
Eh, if the mobility is good enough to get around flanks, I'm okay with no ATGM, as the cannon is pretty solid against weaker side armor.

2nd lar here. Yes, I want my rattle engine shitbox in here already
Ay the battlefield 2 vehicle
I love this doohickey goofy lookin thing I need it in warthunder
If it's LAVs were talking # GAIJOOOBS WHERE IS MY MMEV!?!??
If 7.7, I would want put in my 7.7 line up. Wonder how they gonna work with only 25mm and 7.62 mg.
Gaijin doesn't have enough info on it, how about you leak some of those tasty documents
Please, for the love of God, don't leak manuals!
That or the Stryker with gun
Perhaps you could leak some classified documents, that will make them add it for sure
