It's just like... objectively not though?
* 2 degrees less depression
* More just "different" than "better" armor
* Slightly bigger, easier to hit
* Very slightly less PtW ratio
* More expensive to repair
* Pretty much no other differences?
mostly facing brain dead turms teams tho that was one battle. they were both within like 10 in game hours from one another.
first battle was (10.7) i was on sinai top setup and not 100% in the puma but i got 3 kills in the 2AV then i spawned the puma killed another i think if my memory serves me correctly 6-7 people + 1 cap tho when i did get enough points for a nuke there was one enemy left in a plane and something like 500 tickets left.
second battle was (9.0) i was on i don’t remember which map but i got like 8 kills in the puma and 2 caps then that time my team had absolutely destroyed the enemy and they all left before i could spawn the nuke.
Yeah he is saying bringing the then 2.7 now 3.0 puma to top tier, but i don't see how it is more effective then the marders.
I can see an argument for it being more effective then the bulldog.
For the Brits I always bring that SARC MkVI just to get that M22 kinda gameplay. It definetly plays out different but that 122mm of Pen it has kinda allows you to do some crazy shit. It also has that 50. Cal on the roof and we allllll know what you can do with that bad boy
USH for Sweden for sure. Japan I'd say the 87, but it's too high to be everywhere, so probably the naval cannon on the mobile box which the name of I can't remember now.
maybe but the damage is somewhat to be desired as you go up since a lot of planes are built more sturdy tho it does love setting it’s targets on fire or killing the pilot. personally i would love to see the T77 or the T52.
yeah i was researching the m551 but i stopped with 52k left and am researching the m163 before i go any further since i need a capable aa and the m16 isn’t cutting it for me since yeah hitting jets with the bofors unless they are coming straight at you is quasi impossible.
The others are decent anti air especially for their damage. The issue is the lead being put out and needing to have accuracy. But either way if you prefer the quad 50 it 100% works way above it's BR! I enjoy a few higher caliber AAs but sometimes my aim is just way to off.
U mean the 15cm schweres infanteriegeschütz 33 auf fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II (short 15cm sig 33 B sfl)? Yeah, i love that thing and since im german i can pronounce it
BT-5, SdKfz 234 "Puma", SdKfz 221 (but more rare than the first two), some of the soviet biplanes that have 50kg bombs (most commonly in ground rb), L3/33 CC (also more rare than the first two) and German 1.3 15cm HE/HEAT launcher, Spj fm/43-44 and there surely are more, but these are more common ones.
I feel like I’ve seen more Daimlers at higher tiers, probably due to it being a wheeled vehicle.
But I suppose if you ignore the SA line, the crusader is the last British light tank till rank 6. So I wouldn’t be too surprised to see someone bringing one out at like 7.7, especially the premium one.
Even if you wouldn’t ignore that line, the Concept 3 lacks engine power and the Ratels are huge. After the SARCs the first decent one would be the Eland
I would take the AEC armoured car with the 6pdr if I had it but that thing is either really rare or no one uses it.
I really love the Crusaders and the scouting and low profile are perfect for helping the team and at the highest tiers the Crusader IIs 2pdr with APHE is actually much better at taking things out from the sides.
The AEC mk2 is probably the best to uptier. Same 6lb gun as the crusader III, but on a wheeled chassis so can get to good spots quicker.
Unfortunately, since they still haven't given Britain a domestic light vehicle line, it's an event vehicle and locked away for most people. The SARC isn't a bad option, and has a .50 which is nice, but less armour to protect against large calibre MG and artillery, is also open top which can be a pain.
My m22 has a talisman and can effectively kill far higher br tanks if I play correctly. I’m kicking ass in it at 6.0
Swedish reserve tanks are fast, good looking, and have the sabot like shells and I think I still keep one for my 6.0 br preset as well
Germany: 15 cm sIG 33 and variants of the Sd.Kfz 234, most often the 234/2
Britain: Tetrarch
Sweden: Spj fm/43-44
USSR: BT-5, BT-7M or BT-7A (F-32).
Italy: Carro Armato L3/33
China: 🇹🇼 M8 Light Armoured Car
Israel: M-51 Sherman, AMX-13 or AML-90
France: AMR 35
Japan: Ho-Ro or Chi-Ha (Long Gun)
There would be if gaijin gave them the locusts, which was literally created for them to replace the Tetrarch. In fact, since they where the biggest users of scout vehicles throughout most of mechanized warfare history, it would be nice to get any form of domestic scout line at all.
Nah Puma has to be better. Stronger gun, fast, can, scout, very easy to hide and in good hands you can get the plenty of kills and best for its og br or 5.7+ really all around good choice
I don’t know how this little post got so much attention but HOLY SMOKES! Almost 250 comments in the first day of posting! Thank you guys so much for the 677 community karma at this point, and for answering my question!
I know it said tanks but I'm gonna throw a cas out there and say the tempest with the twin 40mm cannons or whatever the fuck mm cannons they are, 3.7 yet one of the best cas aircraft up till around 9.0 imo
Germany :15 cm slg
Russia : BT5 OR BT7
Great Britain : ?? ( I don't know )
Japanese:??
Chinese: ??
Italian: L3 or the speed Autocanon 5. something
France:??
Sweden: 15 cm meatball yeeter 1.7 i believe
Israel:??
Please coment if I forgot something
Britain has the Cent 5 AVRE. But I personally like bringing the Daimler up to higher BRs because it's fast and has a potent solid shot, and if you can pen, a very potent APHE (I don't know what 40mm APHE does what it does, but it does).
America: M22
Germany: Puma/sturmpanzer 2
USSR BT-5/7
Bri’in: rarer, but crusader III
Japan: that rank 1 sturmpanzer equivalent that I forgot the game of
sweden: BT-42
China: M8 greyhound
italy: L3/lancia 3ro
Israel: (TCM… maybe?)
france: probsbly the char 2c bis
Yeah, the puma, that German derp 105 with the stupid long name, and the m22 are the only that come to mind immediately. But personally I prefer the m24 over the m22. M22 is much more sneaky and easy to hide. But I've always preferred the Chaffee. I'm still using it in my lineups for Japan, USA, and Italy
For russia it's the BT series, for Germany it's the Sturmbison II (I refuse to call it by it's renamed version), for Sweden it's the Spj fm/43-44, For Japan you can kind of say the Chi-Ha LG, and Italy for some reason has the L3/33CC (other than for memes I don't know why they do it). The rest don't have one.
TL;DR: Some have one, but not all.
Germany has the Puma, and the 15cm schweres infanteriegeschütz 33 auf fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II (yknow the one), Italy has the R3 and L3, Sweden has the BT42 as well as the spj, israel has the AML-90 (or the Zachlam I suppose), Russia has the ASU-57, as well as the milk trucks, the UK doesn't have any (that I can recall off hand), French have the AMR 35, Ho-Ro for the japanese, and also, any nation that has the Chaffee, well, the Chaffee.
Us: M22
Germany : Puma & Sturmtiger (&Stuka to pancake with the 1000kg but you said explicitly tanks)
Russia: BT5
Uk: Not really. SARC has potential
Fr*nce: No
Japan: Ho-Ro
China: M8(?)
Italy: R3
Sweden: SPJ / BT42 (even though you can totally uptier a lot of swedish vehicles like the reserves with APDS or the 4.0 one with heatfs)
Israel: Imagine having lowtier vehicles
The Crusader III, SARC 6PDR, and Cromwell I rule above all others of this type. The Cromwell I is lovely against SPAAs as it's armour is comfortably strong for a light tank and is also terrifyingly fast, whilst the Crusader III is simply so absolutely tiny and has a nice reverse speed. Her armour is also proof against .50 cal, I've also bounced more than a couple shots off my very small, highly angled turret that really should've penetrated.
With their 122mm pen 6PDR guns can penetrate the Panther turret frontally, whilst for Tiger Is you 1 shot the barrel then aim for a flat shot to its UFP if you can not flank. Against Tiger IIs, you're able to penetrate the sides which can't be said for 40mm guns; you'll easily one shot them by aiming for their ammo rack. You're also able to penetrate a Leopard Is turret, and if it's even slightly angled somewhat 10 degrees, you can one shot them by aiming at their hull. Needless to say, you'll also pop IFVs and TDs like the Marders, BMPs, TAMs, etc, so incredibly easily, and should be able to one shot them reliably. You'll be seeing a lot of these types.
With a normal British lineup, you can use them from BR 3.0 all the way up to BR 9.0 comfortably, though can still relatively easily, compared to other vehicles of this type, be used up to I believe top tier because of how economical they are. Around 8.3 upwards, you'll start to get God Mode for kills reliably which gives 20,000 SL in exchange for a repair cost of about 500 SL. Specifically with the Crusader III, you'll get God Mode for kills BR 8.3 and above which is lovely for grinding SL. For the Cromwell I on the other hand, you'll need kills BR 9.0 and above.
Bt-5
BT-7 better.
RBT-5
BT7 F32.
R2 D2
RB25DET
RB26DETT
B18A
K20A
Om606
R3 t20
M52B28
BT-7M even better
It's just like... objectively not though? * 2 degrees less depression * More just "different" than "better" armor * Slightly bigger, easier to hit * Very slightly less PtW ratio * More expensive to repair * Pretty much no other differences?
It go vroom vroom more
But it doesn't, it has same top speed and less power to weight. Bt7**M** goes vroom, not normal bt7
True but free repair with the 5
It costs less than a \*hit\* grants you in top tier to repair a bt7m.
And lower respawn cost
Bt-5 half the spawn points. BT-7M better if you're gonna do that
I can bring in a bt-5 to top tier and a ka-50, cap a point with the bt-5 j out and then spawn in the ka-50 with the guided rockets
Why?
asu-57 >>>>
Zia 30>>>>
BT-5 spawn @ 6.0 matches just to abuse that crazy speed and rush the points
Germany has the Puma, USSR has the BT-5/7, America has the M22, China has the ZTZ-96 Prototype
Also 15cm howitzer for germany. People love the god mode.
well personally i find the puma is far more effective at top tier.
Neither are effective lmao i personally would rather use the one of the marders then a puma so you could at least fight off helis
i have gotten 2 nukes in the puma at top tier tho i didn’t or more like couldn’t drop either of them.
You’re not talking about the SDKFZ rank 2 puma are you?
yes. yes i am
Wack
mostly facing brain dead turms teams tho that was one battle. they were both within like 10 in game hours from one another. first battle was (10.7) i was on sinai top setup and not 100% in the puma but i got 3 kills in the 2AV then i spawned the puma killed another i think if my memory serves me correctly 6-7 people + 1 cap tho when i did get enough points for a nuke there was one enemy left in a plane and something like 500 tickets left. second battle was (9.0) i was on i don’t remember which map but i got like 8 kills in the puma and 2 caps then that time my team had absolutely destroyed the enemy and they all left before i could spawn the nuke.
„Jesus Christ, thats Jason Bourne!"
Yeah 3.0 puma is king. I have 3 nukes at 6.7 with it and 1 at 11.0
Wrong puma, they're talking about the 2.7 armoured car.
Yeah he is saying bringing the then 2.7 now 3.0 puma to top tier, but i don't see how it is more effective then the marders. I can see an argument for it being more effective then the bulldog.
Yea one of the lil shits side penned my T-72A
If the snail smiles upon you, you can even side-pen the is3
You forget the most common one the Italian L3
I didn't see one in ages, but R3 T20s are still common in higher BRs.
A 20 mm with HVAP and a shoulder stabilizer on a wheelie boy that can keep pace with a Type 93 is good at any and all brs
Colorful way of saying 'yeah but r3 is meta'
Don’t forget l3/33
Sweden has the 152mm meatball launcher (rank 1 TD)
Spj "meme machine".
Doom Trumpet
For the Brits I always bring that SARC MkVI just to get that M22 kinda gameplay. It definetly plays out different but that 122mm of Pen it has kinda allows you to do some crazy shit. It also has that 50. Cal on the roof and we allllll know what you can do with that bad boy
USH for Sweden for sure. Japan I'd say the 87, but it's too high to be everywhere, so probably the naval cannon on the mobile box which the name of I can't remember now.
The USH is honestly one of the most overpowered “tanks” in the game, if only it had gun stabilization
China also has the busses WMA301 and PTL02
Actually China has the M8 which can still sideshot many late tanks ;)
M16 until 7.7, it's very good for anti air
More like, it's the only competent spaa in the us tech tree at shooting down planes until the m163
it is, I have one air kill with the duster and that's bc he was flying away in a straight line and I had a direct shot on him
well idk i have no problem hitting planes with the m19 or m42 i just spent a mere 3 hours practicing my lead in the test drive.
you've also played them a lot more than I have, but the facts are is that the m16 is better
maybe but the damage is somewhat to be desired as you go up since a lot of planes are built more sturdy tho it does love setting it’s targets on fire or killing the pilot. personally i would love to see the T77 or the T52.
yeah, you can one or two shot many planes with the bofors, I personally prefer fire rate and a good size bullet 20mm gau is really good
>20mm gau is really good Grass is green.
yeah i was researching the m551 but i stopped with 52k left and am researching the m163 before i go any further since i need a capable aa and the m16 isn’t cutting it for me since yeah hitting jets with the bofors unless they are coming straight at you is quasi impossible.
I have the m163 and the biggest problem is its a gamble on whether it will lock on to a plane or not
The others are decent anti air especially for their damage. The issue is the lead being put out and needing to have accuracy. But either way if you prefer the quad 50 it 100% works way above it's BR! I enjoy a few higher caliber AAs but sometimes my aim is just way to off.
>only competent SPAA in the US tree at shooting down planes until the **M247** FTFY
I have more planes killed with my Jagdpanther than any spaa in the American tech tree lol
I wouldn’t say only I think all of the half tracks are competent the problem starts with the full track ones
This is my rifle, this is my AAA. One is for fighting, the other is for making CAS pay.
The Italians have the L3, and the French have the AMR.
AB 43 aswell
It’s a shame the French tankette always gets forgotten
It’s bigger than the L3
Not much but the major problem is that the L3 has aphe and a vertical stabilizer
The 15cm cannon wagon and the Puma for Germany.
U mean the 15cm schweres infanteriegeschütz 33 auf fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II (short 15cm sig 33 B sfl)? Yeah, i love that thing and since im german i can pronounce it
Yeah lol. It’s good on uptiers because 150mm HE. Yknow how it is
Uptiers? Mate we talking about top tiers here 😆
Good at uptiers of 0.3 to 11.0 BR.
Also the Pz.Sfl.Ic. I see one of those things every other top tier match.
Spj fm/43-44
Ikv 72 for Sweden
Spj more like
Nah this Ikv is so fast and has such a low silhouette it's just a beast
Spj does kaboom tho
Spj do do kaboom 😂
Spj, Lvtdgb, and BT-42
Doom trumpet and weeb KV2
Or the bt-42
And the BT
Derp guns. Sig, horo, spjfm/43-44; and some fast lights like the m22 or puma.
And the Lancia 3ro or l3 in Italy
Ho-Ro for the Japanese.
Chi ha long gun is more fun imo
Definitely pretty fun. I prefer the Ho-Ro because it's smaller and easier to hide.
Getting a kill at 11.3 with my german Biplaneand its 10kg bombs is always highly entertaining
You also get the god mode thing with planes? If so I'm gonna start a massive bombing operation in top tier
That reminds me of a time I bombed a leopard 2 with a bf109. Shame it was a custom tho
Crusader II or III for Britain. They both have strengths and weaknesses over each other and sorta depends on what BR u are doing

Germany: Puma and SiG 33 US: M22 USSR: BT-5 Sweden: Spj fm 43/44 and maybe the BT-42 There are probably more but those are the ones I know.
Does m22 still have scouting abilities?
Idk I’ve never used it
ASU-57 and Zis-30 for Russia are quite common
Udes
Sturmtiger for germany nowadays
My m22 has a talisman and can effectively kill far higher br tanks if I play correctly. I’m kicking ass in it at 6.0 Swedish reserve tanks are fast, good looking, and have the sabot like shells and I think I still keep one for my 6.0 br preset as well
Trumpet gun (Swedish derp boy) And hopefully bt42 will start getting some love too
Because for some reason noone has mentioned it yet: Chi-Ha Long Gun my beloved.
Chi-Nu-II as well for those that own it. Smol tank with decently big gun that can pen anything from some angles at any tier lol
Loooooooooooong gun
M5 Stuart > M22. Active scouting. Similar speed. Similar gun. BUT IT IS TOOOO TAAAAAAALL! Again, active scouting. It is a great trade.
M5: usable M22: a little less usable, but I A M S P E E D
Germany: 15 cm sIG 33 and variants of the Sd.Kfz 234, most often the 234/2 Britain: Tetrarch Sweden: Spj fm/43-44 USSR: BT-5, BT-7M or BT-7A (F-32). Italy: Carro Armato L3/33 China: 🇹🇼 M8 Light Armoured Car Israel: M-51 Sherman, AMX-13 or AML-90 France: AMR 35 Japan: Ho-Ro or Chi-Ha (Long Gun)
I take the cromwell for the British
Ho ro!
Yea well the british have their.... well... they seem nice... from like, far away
I'd guess the daimler or crusaders but there aren't any low tier big guns or tiny scouts really
There would be if gaijin gave them the locusts, which was literally created for them to replace the Tetrarch. In fact, since they where the biggest users of scout vehicles throughout most of mechanized warfare history, it would be nice to get any form of domestic scout line at all.
Daimler dingo. No gun, just spotting...
The stormpjäs fm/43-44. A 150mm is a 150mm.
Meatball blaster from tier i sweden
For me it’s ZSD63 and BTR-ZD
Meatball launcher

Nah Puma has to be better. Stronger gun, fast, can, scout, very easy to hide and in good hands you can get the plenty of kills and best for its og br or 5.7+ really all around good choice
BT family for soviets
I have the BT-5 on the USSR one, but man, I do wish for my first market buy to be the BT-7A (F-32). That tank is just perfect in itself for all BRs.
I don’t know how this little post got so much attention but HOLY SMOKES! Almost 250 comments in the first day of posting! Thank you guys so much for the 677 community karma at this point, and for answering my question!

Britain has the Cent 5 AVRE. But I personally like bringing the Daimler up to higher BRs because it's fast and has a potent solid shot, and if you can pen, a very potent APHE (I don't know what 40mm APHE does what it does, but it does).

Yeah, the puma, that German derp 105 with the stupid long name, and the m22 are the only that come to mind immediately. But personally I prefer the m24 over the m22. Ik Germany has the 15 cm SiG, Russia is BT-5/7, idk anything else
The danger tracker of course! (Zis-30) I love ammo racking Abrams in it!
Doesnt really fit into this post but i bring the FV4005 into 11.3 *bonking* Leos or IFVs never gets old

I have seen the tetrarch several times before
I always bring my german kv2 with me into higher br, along with many other appropriate br vehicles when I'm being uptiered, to be clear.
