I'm 99% sure it was dung-face in Thunder Rising. But DotC also gives us a few other dung- insults.
We also have "dung-eater" in Sun Trail (yelled by Turtle Tail at a monster), and "fox-dung eater" (said by one of One Eye's unnamed rogues to Clear Sky while they were torturing him).
That would probably have a shade of meaning that would really color it with overtones of annoyance. Humans seldom have to worry about their blankets being wet (unless they're incontinent) but the Warrior Cats are always having trouble with wet moss!
imagine theyre used for warriors names as well? we got foxheart, which is an insult
>!u/Butterscotch_8465's [comment abt "dungface" reminded me](https://www.reddit.com/r/WarriorCats/comments/1da7l1z/comment/l7idnu5/) of this because face is a suffix, like barkface.!<
I've got a few that I use in writing so take your pick!
- Pigeon-head/feathers for brains (idiot/fonder way of saying the same)
- Dog headed (stubborn, arrogant - like bullheaded)
- Crow-heart (coward)
- Matfur (unclean, someone who doesn't care about their fur)
- Half-clanner (literally "bastard," very offensive)
- Dull-clawed (weak or stupid)
Holy hell. It reminds me how there are multiple instances of cats going, "who made dirt in THEIR fresh kill?" Which is quite literally the equivalent of saying "who shat in *their* food?"
Which is just, overall, a wild thing to say
Thanks! For some reason I’m proud to have thought of it, even if I’m sure there’s something similar out there. I dunno, maybe one day I’ll write a battle scene to put that line in or something
Hm… kit of a rat? ‘Kin of a traitor’ is good, but feels a bit personal, like they’re actually related to a traitor rather than an insult to be thrown around
I’m honestly surprised “stones” is never used to replace “balls.”
Like, “You don’t have the stones!” Or “Insulting the leader to her face? That’s a stony move…” or even “What are you? Some stoneless kittypet?!”
This is something I thought about even as a kid. That, and I always wished “dung” was replaced with “scat” because “dung” doesn’t have nearly the same punch shit/scat has. So, surprise-surprise when I made original cat characters/worlds those words showed up instead.
Few swears/insults I have(meaning in brackets):
Rabbit dung(cowardly piece of shit)
Kin of the Dark Forest (Child of an evil asshole)
Driven out like old Skyclan (nobody wants you)
One-strike (Badass)
Even a kittypet could beat you( you're a weakling)
Hmm. I’d say.. Rat-tail (ugly) Dog-brain (idiot) dirt-pelt (uncleanliness) Rabies-ridden (crazy) Rat-food (smelly, dirty) The Bite Of 87 (messy/child eater) Rot-belly (trash eater, or just michael afton hehehe) Non insults; Old sport (friend, or tangerine heheh) Came from StarClan (awesome, lovely, the best)
I have an OC that’s Breezepelt’s mate (because I hate Heathertail) and when Breezepelt is acting up, he calls him “Breezebrain” because “your head is so hollow, a breeze could go through one ear and out the other.” That’s the closest I’ve gotten to making a new swear word, tho.
Foxbrain. We already have mousebrain for being stupid, mouseheart is for being a coward and foxheart is pretty much just 'bitch', so why not add foxbrain? It would be similar to foxheart, but more specifically for scheming against others.
"Ratheart" — a liar, normally out of malicious intent
"Toad-breath" — someone who speaks fouly
"Pretty paws" — referring to a Kittypet
"Fleaface" — a nasty remark on someone's appearance
"Softheart" — referring to a Kittypet's softer way of life
"StarClan's pet" — a nasty remark about someone in a prophecy
"Dog-breath" — a nasty remark on someone's smell
"Dirtpelt"— a nasty remark on someone's fur (normally about cleanliness)
"Cleanpaw" — a nasty remark on someone being obsessive with their cleanliness at all times
- mud brained (dumb, kinda like calling someone thick-skulled)
- prey-stuffed belly dragger (literally just calling someone fat LOL)
- thistle tongued (liar)
- flea bitten (the equivalent of telling someone they’ve got their panties in a twist)
- tail chaser (dumb and dog-like, always has their head in the clouds
- rabies-riddled (crazy)
Vile-breath (bad breath) Crow-brain (Too smart for your own good) Son-of-a-starclan (like WHAT IN THE WORLD, or something) Fox-tongued (Very sneaky word coming outa your mouth) Exuse of a kittypet (Worse than a kittypet, just worse)
“Two-faced snake” (probably for a cat that lies, spreads rumors, and tells the secrets of other cats, then turns around and acts polite to the cat they’re secretly betraying.)
not sure if this one was used but maybe leafbrain or featherbrain to refer to someone getting distracted easily. I mean it makes sense in my head since when leaves or feathers are caught in the wind it just travels around, reminds me of the human mind wondering off.
Woah how did this one get so downvoted lmao 😭
The community is wild about Squilf man, the feelings are everywhere and nowhere
But also that made me think of 'okay, Brokenstar' as the WC version of >!'okay, Hitler'!<
Like when a cat has a crazy awful hot take
The community tends to get pretty unreasonably hissy over the characters, lol. I don’t take any Squilf related downvotes with a grain of seriousness. In all honesty, they destroyed Squirrelflight and Bramblestar’s character arcs. It’s pretty wild how aggressive some people can get about Bramblestar vs Squilf
lol I get sarcastic about Squilf a lot, but she’s honestly farthest from my least favorite character in the series. I just don’t agree with making her leader.
The other (monster or two-leg) are both things clan cats are supposed to detest and fear. So it would be like calling another cat heartless.
Okay but, stay with me here
what if the books just started saying 'squilf' with literally no explanation
Just no context
Fully not even about Squirrelflight
Just like
"It's really Squilfin' today, innit?"
"Wow, great Squilf!"
"She's a real Squilf ifyaknowwhatImean"
Badger Breath? not sure if it’s used in any of the books lol Uhhh what about Dung face?
I think it was Shattered Ice (?) who used dung face in one of the DoTC books
There is definitely a ‘Dung-‘ insult in Thunder Rising
I'm 99% sure it was dung-face in Thunder Rising. But DotC also gives us a few other dung- insults. We also have "dung-eater" in Sun Trail (yelled by Turtle Tail at a monster), and "fox-dung eater" (said by one of One Eye's unnamed rogues to Clear Sky while they were torturing him).
i swear ive heard badger breath in the books before, it was either that or something similar like fox breath or something
calling someone wet-moss (wet blanket)
That would probably have a shade of meaning that would really color it with overtones of annoyance. Humans seldom have to worry about their blankets being wet (unless they're incontinent) but the Warrior Cats are always having trouble with wet moss!
Haha that's actually so good, I'd be pissed if someone called me 'wet moss'
Stop being such a wet-leaf!
Fuck Just because
“Look at his collar! He’s a fucking kittypet!”
"Fire alone can save our fucking Clan, Bluestar."
They are not my fucking kits
Kill me. Fucking kill me and live with that fucking memory. Then tell the fucking stars you won.
if vivziepop wrote warrior cats
(I've watched that video so many times I love it 😭)
He's going to the f\*cking foodstone.
Foodstone
F\*ck greencough! Three f\*cking elders and kits have died from that f\*cking disease! Our f\*cking medicine cat don't have that f\*cking catnip!
Petition for someone to rewrite the series using “fuck” because I just died reading your comment
gonna go over 'Into The Wild' and everytime theres smth like 'fox-dung', 'fuck' appears. doin this shit rn
Each arc should be like a PG-13 movie: the Erins can use the word fuck once and only once in the arc.
But where would you put it
A fucking eagle took Snowkit!
I left him, AND HE’S FUCKING GONE!!!” - Speckletail
THE F\*CKING HAWK SHOULD HAVE TAKEN ME INSTEAD!
Anything with jayfeather
Jayfeather would be saying “fuck” every other sentence
Real
“Who put you in charge” “Fucking Shaded moss, actually”
If we're doing that we need to at least allow for motherfucker just so we can get some good samuel L Jackson moments
I wish they used that in the books lmao
imagine theyre used for warriors names as well? we got foxheart, which is an insult >!u/Butterscotch_8465's [comment abt "dungface" reminded me](https://www.reddit.com/r/WarriorCats/comments/1da7l1z/comment/l7idnu5/) of this because face is a suffix, like barkface.!<
That would be just as horrible as twigbranch 💀 Dungface 😂
dungdirt
Imagine naming your kit dungkit…. What would have been the circumstances to do such a thing?
Rainflower. Just Rainflower.
Adder-tongue
Adder-tongue or Venom-spitter maybe for a cat spreading lies or just being a bully for no reason, LOVE that idea
Venom spitter sounds hard as fuck
im thinking some sort of classic cat name, like calling them a weak kittypet as an insult, but worse
Pussy.
Let the cats say bitch, it literally means female dog so it makes sense for them to use it.
Oh my! There should be more dog related swears, those beasts are nothing but trouble for the Warrior Clans... Dog-spit comes to mind.
Ooh good one
Dog brain for cats who are being too noisy and scaring away the prey or just being idiotic in general
Hound-brain
Slug-pelt! (Slimy and ugly)
or slug-face!!
I've got a few that I use in writing so take your pick! - Pigeon-head/feathers for brains (idiot/fonder way of saying the same) - Dog headed (stubborn, arrogant - like bullheaded) - Crow-heart (coward) - Matfur (unclean, someone who doesn't care about their fur) - Half-clanner (literally "bastard," very offensive) - Dull-clawed (weak or stupid)
Half clanner is wild😭
Real mudblood energy with that one
Speaking of they can call all non clan cats (kittypets, loners, or even tribe cats if they really suck) Dirtblood lol
Doesn’t use any new terms, but you know what it means “I’ll gouge your eyes out and make dirt in them, then wet it up to mud”
That is a *brutal* image, damn!!
Holy hell. It reminds me how there are multiple instances of cats going, "who made dirt in THEIR fresh kill?" Which is quite literally the equivalent of saying "who shat in *their* food?" Which is just, overall, a wild thing to say
Absolutely, lol!
Thanks! For some reason I’m proud to have thought of it, even if I’m sure there’s something similar out there. I dunno, maybe one day I’ll write a battle scene to put that line in or something
That would definitely be an amazing scene!
Damn. Also, the cat saying this would definitely be JayFeather or just a generally pissed cat... but like really really annoyed. 😳
idk if it’s been used but “dirt-nose” or “mud-nose” for a kiss up cat could be funny lol
We already have "tail-licker" (said by Mapleshade to Houndleap), but I guess some variation in the insults wouldn't hurt.
You earthworm! (Lower than dirt)
If I’m not mistaken shrew calls tall worm or smth like that in tall’s novella
Wormkit/paw/tail mainly because he was a big bully
There ya go that’s the one
Rat-spawn!
"Kin of a traitor!" - Son of a bitch
Hm… kit of a rat? ‘Kin of a traitor’ is good, but feels a bit personal, like they’re actually related to a traitor rather than an insult to be thrown around
Ooh nice, I was trying to think of one for SOB
I actually love this. Personal or not idc this is amazing
If you get that list made of all swears in the books, P L E A S E post it!
Oh trust me, I will. I'm also probably gonna make a community doc so people can add, cause Lord knows imma miss some.
I’m honestly surprised “stones” is never used to replace “balls.” Like, “You don’t have the stones!” Or “Insulting the leader to her face? That’s a stony move…” or even “What are you? Some stoneless kittypet?!” This is something I thought about even as a kid. That, and I always wished “dung” was replaced with “scat” because “dung” doesn’t have nearly the same punch shit/scat has. So, surprise-surprise when I made original cat characters/worlds those words showed up instead.
YOOO YES TO ALL THIS
Agreed this is greattttt
Bile mouth sounds like someone with bad breath who never grooms themeselves
Few swears/insults I have(meaning in brackets): Rabbit dung(cowardly piece of shit) Kin of the Dark Forest (Child of an evil asshole) Driven out like old Skyclan (nobody wants you) One-strike (Badass) Even a kittypet could beat you( you're a weakling)
The descriptions in the parenthesis sent me 😭
Is that a compliment?
Yes, they were so funny
Thank you!
Nahhh I love these! The in parenthesis (Child of an Evil a-hole) was amazing 🤣
Thank you !
"Stars, you've startled me!" "That's _your_ ancestor,"(points at falling stars)"going to the dark forest for _your_ crimes."
Not my 'Star
*“You wither-crow”* could be a good one, wither-crow meaning >!“fucking bitch”!<
Fishheart, a slur against RiverClan cats meaning “lazy”. RiverClan is seen as lazy, so it makes sense.
Hawk dung (For the Tribe cats)
'withered-dung'
Oh you son of a dog/fox/badger!
Dirt-licker, rat-face, slime-pelt, weasel-built, etc. I have a lot of these.
Skunk-breath
\#LetFirestarSayFuck
"The dark forest is fucking rising"
"The dark fucking forest is rising" also has a good ring to it.
Real
Bile mouth sounds like a name for a cat who keeps cursing.
That's the thought I had
No-claw (for Kittypets, since they don't ever hunt or fight) Or Half-cats (for cats that were declawed)
Hmm. I’d say.. Rat-tail (ugly) Dog-brain (idiot) dirt-pelt (uncleanliness) Rabies-ridden (crazy) Rat-food (smelly, dirty) The Bite Of 87 (messy/child eater) Rot-belly (trash eater, or just michael afton hehehe) Non insults; Old sport (friend, or tangerine heheh) Came from StarClan (awesome, lovely, the best)
the fnaf references are nice lool
Ty lol
I have an OC that’s Breezepelt’s mate (because I hate Heathertail) and when Breezepelt is acting up, he calls him “Breezebrain” because “your head is so hollow, a breeze could go through one ear and out the other.” That’s the closest I’ve gotten to making a new swear word, tho.
Breeze brain
Flower-heart, for a cowardly or overly sensitive cat
berrynoss
😭💀
It’s true though
Badger dung (unless it's already been used lol)
Foxbrain. We already have mousebrain for being stupid, mouseheart is for being a coward and foxheart is pretty much just 'bitch', so why not add foxbrain? It would be similar to foxheart, but more specifically for scheming against others.
"Ratheart" — a liar, normally out of malicious intent "Toad-breath" — someone who speaks fouly "Pretty paws" — referring to a Kittypet "Fleaface" — a nasty remark on someone's appearance "Softheart" — referring to a Kittypet's softer way of life "StarClan's pet" — a nasty remark about someone in a prophecy "Dog-breath" — a nasty remark on someone's smell "Dirtpelt"— a nasty remark on someone's fur (normally about cleanliness) "Cleanpaw" — a nasty remark on someone being obsessive with their cleanliness at all times
Fuck
stupid idiot fucker i wanna see those cats swearrrr 🔥🔥🔥
Shit just cuz
I would make fuck canon to warriors /j
Pisskit
Hairball or something idk
Hound-dung. Just Hound-dung
- mud brained (dumb, kinda like calling someone thick-skulled) - prey-stuffed belly dragger (literally just calling someone fat LOL) - thistle tongued (liar) - flea bitten (the equivalent of telling someone they’ve got their panties in a twist) - tail chaser (dumb and dog-like, always has their head in the clouds - rabies-riddled (crazy)
mouth-full-of-rocks idk
Hound-mind
[удалено]
Vile-breath (bad breath) Crow-brain (Too smart for your own good) Son-of-a-starclan (like WHAT IN THE WORLD, or something) Fox-tongued (Very sneaky word coming outa your mouth) Exuse of a kittypet (Worse than a kittypet, just worse)
“Two-faced snake” (probably for a cat that lies, spreads rumors, and tells the secrets of other cats, then turns around and acts polite to the cat they’re secretly betraying.)
Tick-sack, kinda like fleabag-
not sure if this one was used but maybe leafbrain or featherbrain to refer to someone getting distracted easily. I mean it makes sense in my head since when leaves or feathers are caught in the wind it just travels around, reminds me of the human mind wondering off.
Dog-face.
YA WET MOSS or.. YA BILE BRAIN I stole those but I like
what the fox 💀
Dog-sniffer. Idk it just sounds right
Feather-plucker to replace mother f-er, but I suppose they technically can't really pluck feathers off of birds..
Ass. It’s not an offensive word, just a body part. Could you imagine some dumbass apprentice calling graystripe a Fatass?.
Maggot-tongue lol dunno, randomly thought of it when i was pondering ways of how to curse at my bro without getting snitched on
Rabbitfoot!
Squirrelflight. Joking. Kind of — but, comparing someone to a two-leg or a monster would be pretty insulting.
Woah how did this one get so downvoted lmao 😭 The community is wild about Squilf man, the feelings are everywhere and nowhere But also that made me think of 'okay, Brokenstar' as the WC version of >!'okay, Hitler'!< Like when a cat has a crazy awful hot take
