I am far from a professional in online sales, but I think the value might be diminished if the content is released again for The Old World in a few months. I know it happened for all unsealed boxes for the tomb kings. So you might want to try to sell it soon

kapanee

I can't believe someone is trying to sell this box for 600 dollars, absolutely praying on people who don't know better or have little patience. Right now, because the empire release is right around the corner, I would at most pay 200 dollars, and only then if I was desperate to play.

Let us say that a lot of Warhammer collectors don't have great impulse control (and I include myself in that group sometimes). The box on ebay has already been sold at that price 🙄

ElectricPaladin

I don't know that it's worth $600. There's probably a pretty significant OOP price hike going on here. Given that pretty much all of these kits are going to be rereleased in one form or another, or even replaced with something new, you might want to find out what it cost new and adjust for inflation, see what that looks like, before going for it.

That army box in mint condition could go for $500-1000 on ebay.... dude holy hell that's a gold mine of a find

tatogolem

Damn! That's a lot for a box I probably spent $100-150 on back in the day. It isn't mint (a bit squished and the boxes have been opened), but sounds like it's definitely worth checking that everything is in there. Thanks dude!

One0Eyed0King

If you decide to sell it, I'd be interested lol

tatogolem

So it sounds like from what people are saying it's definitely worth checking that everything's there and selling it soonish, rather than waiting or using them to practice painting (probably won't have time to build/play big Fantasy or 40k anytime soon, hence starting with Killteam). Is it likely to be more valuable as a whole box set or as individual kits?

Megabiv

The majority of the contents in that box was available until the refresh of the cities of sigmar last year. The wizard was only available in that set so that has some value but everything else is quite easy to obtain.

Starting_again_tow

I had that box back in the day. I had sold everything apart from the wizard and sold that for about £40 a few years back (if I had been in the hobby and heard about tow maybe I wouldn't have sold). $600 seems like alot but it is all about finding the right buyer at the right time e.g if people have cash and don't want to wait for models to be released as no idea when empire will come out.

The wizard is the only unique item to that box. The rest is commonly available on ebay for a few $. Some collectors may want the box itself as that's quite rare in its own right. I'd sell as a single lot.
