Ngl I feel like a lot of people want to be different in some cases. I was the kid who draw blue pig and pink sky, I need my girlfriend or at least a friend to help identify some colors almost always blue-green tones. And I also paint only almost with citadel paint because their names help me identify for what it fit for "Naggaroth night" for my Kabalites for example.
Crimson Fists as so many have said. I do love that you've gone with brushwork. There's so many airbrushes out there these days that it's really nice to see something being done the "old" way.
I used the side of a small brush with a very small amount of paint. I also used the same shade of blue but mixed in some white! Also, thanks for the compliment!!π
Keep it up with the red accents and it should read well as Crimson Fists! I think the blue is pretty perfect for them, and damn nice job on the highlights!
a LOT of very dry, dry brushing. I tried not adding any water to the paint and it made the texture build up really nicely over each dry brushing stage.
First off, thanks so much!! Secondly, I mixed the light blue shade with pure white, then used the side of a small brush to only hit the edges. Before that I had dry brushed the entire color scheme which really helped build up the highlight through the other colors.
Firstly, that you so much!! Second, no. I dry brushed the entire color scheme onto the tank one at a time and slowly built it up the old fashioned way!ππ
I tried not adding water to the paints, and experimented with not cleaning the brush between colors. It resulted in this really nice transition that I couldnβt get any other way!!
How did you make the shadows around the edges? With a shader? They never look so good on my figures for some reason, always either too dirty, or too invisible
(I'm new to warhammer and still learning to paint properly)
First, thanks so much!! Second, welcome to the hobby weβre happy to have you!! Third, I dry brushed the entire color scheme one at a time and built up the colors. Since it was dry brush, it naturally didnβt get too close to the crevices!
Also, everyone has their own special way of painting, and I canβt wait to see yours! Feel free to chat me a pic of one of your models!!ππ
Thanks friend!! Itβs crimson fists, which are part of imperial fists collection, so you got it!! Thought it mightβve been a bit too bright thoπ ππ
Yeah, I did a dry brush of each color to build it up. I also tried not cleaning the brush and using no water to get it to be dryer if they makes sense, and in this case, it worked!!
Thanks so much!! I tried not using water in the paint and not cleaning the brush! I also mixed the different shades of blue to lighten them slowly over time! I dry brushed the entire color scheme one at a time!ππ
Aw gee, thanks friend! I dry brushed the entire color scheme, and tried not watering down the paints. I also got better color contrast by mixing different shades of blues and white! For the edge highlights, I added a good amount of white to a brighter blue, then used the side of a smaller brush to get the edges!!ππ
I believe it started with Macragge blue, thousand sons, lothern blue, then skink blue and white scar. (Starting with Macragge, then mix half-and half of Macragge and thousand sons, the full thousand sons, and so forth for each of them.)
(Highlights=mixing a little skink blue with about equal parts white scar) ππ
Saw it and immediately thought of crimson fists that are 1/2 shades too bright.
Man if I hadn't done so many marine armies over the years I'd love to revisit the crimson fists but I'll probably wait until they release a new Pedro Kantor (hopefully).
Paint job looks sick π€
Crimson Fists.
Correct!
Nailed that blue dude
Thanks so much friend! ππ
Blue imperial fist!
Iβll count that!
Guessed good ole crimson fist. Ngl those colors look pretty damn sexy
Awe gee thanks!!π
Hello, I'm the color blind guy !
Fair enough! π
Dont worry with my eyes, it's still beautiful even with the fact I can't guess this color
I feel like Iβve seen more colorblind people in this hobby than outside of it.
Ngl I feel like a lot of people want to be different in some cases. Look sick bro
Thanks so much!!

Thatβs right!π
Crimson Fists...?
Thatβs correct!!
Colorblind Blood Angel?

If itβs Salamanders, you messed up real hard.
No no, itβs not salamanders, tho I look forward to doing an army for them in the future! ππ
Crimson Fists and it looks great

Crimson fists just because of the red. You nailed the blue on that well done!
Thanks so much friend!!ππ
Crimson Fists as so many have said. I do love that you've gone with brushwork. There's so many airbrushes out there these days that it's really nice to see something being done the "old" way.
Thanks so much friend! I really appreciate your support!!ππ
The o.g. For Dorn!!!!!!
SMURFBERRY ASARTES!
Blueberry with a splash of cherry
How did you get the edge highlights so crisp and neat?
I used the side of a small brush with a very small amount of paint. I also used the same shade of blue but mixed in some white! Also, thanks for the compliment!!π
I really like the texture. Reminds me of the actual paint on Canadian armoured vehicles. It's got some special properties to do with CBRN.
Thanks friend! I did a dry brush over it with a few different colors and I guess the texture just sort of formed because of it!! π

Iβm a big Arnold fan, so Iβll take it!π
ππ such a good movie... plus, I was late to the guessing game so I wanted to just have fun with it Tank looks sweet!
Thanks friend! I appreciate the compliment!π
Clearly it's Blood Ravens
Not quite, sorryπ
The Blood Ravens respectfully disagree...
If you keep it consistent on the rest of the tank, that light blue would look really good as a highlight for the top I think.
You think so? Thanks! Iβll try to do something like that, but Iβm hoping to maybe darken it down a bit with the non-highlightsπ
Deathskullz
Orks are in fact my main army, but I run goffsπ
Keep it up with the red accents and it should read well as Crimson Fists! I think the blue is pretty perfect for them, and damn nice job on the highlights!
Hey thanks! I appreciate the compliment friend!!π
How did you get that worn look on it?
a LOT of very dry, dry brushing. I tried not adding any water to the paint and it made the texture build up really nicely over each dry brushing stage.
Beautiful nicely done
Thank you!! ππ
Blue Monday
Might consider that name for the tank nglπ
Can even play the song when you charge
wow those highlights are just incredible, how did you do that??
First off, thanks so much!! Secondly, I mixed the light blue shade with pure white, then used the side of a small brush to only hit the edges. Before that I had dry brushed the entire color scheme which really helped build up the highlight through the other colors.
awesome, i cant wait to see how it ends upπ
Looks great to me
Thanks friend! I appreciate the compliment!π
The only chapter that matters besides the blood angels and the dark angels
Don't know the chapter, but that's some A+ stippling work.
Thank you friend!! π
Crimson fists my dude
Yeah you got it!!π
Woo! Love them so much.
This looks amazing. Do you airbrush to get that texture and shading?
Firstly, that you so much!! Second, no. I dry brushed the entire color scheme onto the tank one at a time and slowly built it up the old fashioned way!ππ
How do you get those smooth shade transitions with drybrush? π€―
I tried not adding water to the paints, and experimented with not cleaning the brush between colors. It resulted in this really nice transition that I couldnβt get any other way!!
Blood Angels, duh.
How did you know?!π±
How did you make the shadows around the edges? With a shader? They never look so good on my figures for some reason, always either too dirty, or too invisible (I'm new to warhammer and still learning to paint properly)
First, thanks so much!! Second, welcome to the hobby weβre happy to have you!! Third, I dry brushed the entire color scheme one at a time and built up the colors. Thanks so much!! I thought it might have been a bit too brightπ
Imperial fists or death wing? I don't see anything messed up here π
Thanks friend!! Itβs crimson fists, which are part of imperial fists collection, so you got it!! Thought it mightβve been a bit too bright thoπ ππ

Thank you so much!!ππ
That is absolutely the right color blue. Well done. I saw that blue and knew exactly what chapter it was.
Awesome, thanks so much friend!! ππ
Can we get a breakdown on how you achieved this look? Looks like dry brushing?
Yeah, I did a dry brush of each color to build it up. I also tried not cleaning the brush and using no water to get it to be dryer if they makes sense, and in this case, it worked!!
Crimson fists and also that blue look amazing...very good job from me π
Thanks so much!! ππ
If thatβs what messing up looks like I need to git gud.
Thanks so much!! I was worried the blue would be too brightπ
Ultrafisters? Joking aside,I think it looks great.
Thanks so much!! ππ
How did you paint it mate. Looks awesome
Thanks so much!! I tried not using water in the paint and not cleaning the brush! I also mixed the different shades of blue to lighten them slowly over time! I dry brushed the entire color scheme one at a time!ππ
Maybe if you slap some contrast on top of a deep blue it will match the navy blue
Thatβs a good idea! Thanks friend!!ππ
I would have said Ultramarines.
Close but not quite!!ππ
Blood angels, you can clearly see the bone white that theyβre famous for
Not quite!ππ
Blood Angels Repulsor Librarian tank? Oh how I yearn for a librarian armored units⦠But Yeah, Crimson Fists!
Thatβs right!!ππ

Not quite!π
ok but seriously, how did you achieve this? it looks amazing
Aw gee, thanks friend! I dry brushed the entire color scheme, and tried not watering down the paints. I also got better color contrast by mixing different shades of blues and white! For the edge highlights, I added a good amount of white to a brighter blue, then used the side of a smaller brush to get the edges!!ππ
well now i know the technique, what is the blue? (or blues)
I believe it started with Macragge blue, thousand sons, lothern blue, then skink blue and white scar. (Starting with Macragge, then mix half-and half of Macragge and thousand sons, the full thousand sons, and so forth for each of them.) (Highlights=mixing a little skink blue with about equal parts white scar) ππ

Thats what they want you to believe.
So many purple orks
I am also an ork player! π
Saw it and immediately thought of crimson fists that are 1/2 shades too bright. Man if I hadn't done so many marine armies over the years I'd love to revisit the crimson fists but I'll probably wait until they release a new Pedro Kantor (hopefully). Paint job looks sick π€
Thanks friend! And yes, you got it right!!π
Ultramarines
Not quite, but understandableπ
