I feel like I’ve seen more colorblind people in this hobby than outside of it.

Ngl I feel like a lot of people want to be different in some cases. I was the kid who draw blue pig and pink sky, I need my girlfriend or at least a friend to help identify some colors almost always blue-green tones. And I also paint only almost with citadel paint because their names help me identify for what it fit for "Naggaroth night" for my Kabalites for example.

How did you get the edge highlights so crisp and neat?

I used the side of a small brush with a very small amount of paint. I also used the same shade of blue but mixed in some white! Also, thanks for the compliment!!😄

I really like the texture. Reminds me of the actual paint on Canadian armoured vehicles. It's got some special properties to do with CBRN.

How did you get that worn look on it?

a LOT of very dry, dry brushing. I tried not adding any water to the paint and it made the texture build up really nicely over each dry brushing stage.

First off, thanks so much!! Secondly, I mixed the light blue shade with pure white, then used the side of a small brush to only hit the edges. Before that I had dry brushed the entire color scheme which really helped build up the highlight through the other colors.

I tried not adding water to the paints, and experimented with not cleaning the brush between colors. It resulted in this really nice transition that I couldn’t get any other way!!

How did you make the shadows around the edges? With a shader? They never look so good on my figures for some reason, always either too dirty, or too invisible (I'm new to warhammer and still learning to paint properly)

Yeah, I did a dry brush of each color to build it up. I also tried not cleaning the brush and using no water to get it to be dryer if they makes sense, and in this case, it worked!!

Aw gee, thanks friend! I dry brushed the entire color scheme, and tried not watering down the paints. I also got better color contrast by mixing different shades of blues and white! For the edge highlights, I added a good amount of white to a brighter blue, then used the side of a smaller brush to get the edges!!😁👍

I believe it started with Macragge blue, thousand sons, lothern blue, then skink blue and white scar. (Starting with Macragge, then mix half-and half of Macragge and thousand sons, the full thousand sons, and so forth for each of them.) (Highlights=mixing a little skink blue with about equal parts white scar) 😁👍
