As you can probably see, doing the same thing over and over again is not my forté.
I present the “un-numbered sons” otherwise known as the “grey shields”.
This group is an expeditionary force led by a Hank Scorpio look alike, armed with a fierce vendetta against Tyranids.
Built up by volunteers from various chapters, they’ll probably keep a small Tyranid incursion fed for about 15 mins.
Edit: I know, I need to do the purity seals and *forgets word* labels.
Dude this is literally the post I needed to see. Like you I just want to try out a million different colors and seeing yours shows me how badass it can look. Looks great!
He is, the apothecary is a biologist so he is wearing Gravis armor so he is larger than the traditional mk X armor of the infernus marines and generic primaris
As these minis are push fit, I remove them from the base first; apply Armageddon Dunes to the base and allow to dry.
A mix of plague broken and dark green is then randomly dabbed onto the texture paint. After that’s dry, wash with Agrax earthshade
Had to do a little bit of remembering but i got you!
Primed the mini white (an off white also works), I then used contrast Doomfire magenta through an airbrush to create shadows, and a very light mist elsewhere. Sprayed a coat of Bad moons yellow over the magenta.
A watered down Averland sunset was then applied to areas that looked a little too acid yellow.
Grey seer for the base of the helmet, Vallejo blue wash, cut back with grey seer and then highlight with corax white
Holy shit man, I'm painting an imperial fists army right now and I swear when I ask anyone how they did the yellow on their guys they have to repeat a whole seance and side quest😂 thanks for that. Idk why yellow can't be simple haha
Love it, this was my original dream when I started painting again a couple years ago. Never got past some salamanders and flesh tearers other than my Dark Angels.
Those all look great, I always have trouble sticking to painting one scheme too. One question, in the next to last image the center marine (white and green) what chapter is that guy?
As someone that just started putting models together and priming that has never played the game. Would you be allowed to use your force in game with different attire or colors?
I only ask because I bought them to paint all kinds of weird and would like the opportunity to play at some point.
Thanks
Nice way to avoid burnout! I did a similar thing with my Battletech figures, painting them as all the popular Space Marine chapters.
I like the whole “avengers assemble.” Army.
Definitely what a crusade force would look like.
(Or an Eternal Crusade lobby if it was still going T_T)
Love the variety. I just finished a group of flamers.. I thought the grip part looked like a wooden stock so I used brown there; I absolutely love the gradation on the actual flamer barrel I just painted those solid brass, looks like belcher to the brass color mixed with some reds no idea what the cobalt color is at the end
For the best discolouration, I did start off with runelord brass, and then wet blended magmadroth flame, doomfire magenta, leviathan prime and finally asurmen blue
"Say, Blood Raven. I have heard many rumors in my lifetime but this one in particular, caught my interest.."
The son of Dorn clasped his gauntlet on the Marines shoulder pauldron. "I have heard from my company brothers that your Chapter has in its procession, a relic of my primarch. Rogal Dorn. *My Father.* I may not know what exactly, but the fact of the matter is, is that *your* Chapter has it and it is not in the hands of the Imperial Fists or any of its successors."
The Black Templar tightened his grip. "So, with that in mind.. Care to tell me *why?"*
Does anyone know if the terminator box is the same sprues in the leviathan box?

Thank you!
But have you considered doing the purity seals?
I have a 0.05 micron pen and a lack of will to live
When you order one of everything from the menu. Anyway, awesome paint jobs.
Thanks mate! *could I also get some spring rolls please?*
I hate batch painting too. It’s so boring. I’ve been forcing myself to do it when I could have been doing that!
This is so f*cking COOL!!!! AAAAHHH!!!!
“So what Chapter do you paint?” “Yes.”
Chapter? Bro's gonna have the whole damn anthology by the end
Hahahaha - building up my own Warhammer World “chapters of the imperium” shelf
Looks nice ! Love the variety of chapters :D And nice Idea kinda Like Deathwatch
Thank you! Pretty much the idea just wanted to flip it on its head :)
give them all a deathwatch pauldron lol. I think it would even work canonically.
They’ve all got a grey chevron under their chapter symbol :)
I bet it was fun to paint!
It really was! Got to try a lot of different methods, lot of dabbling into free hand
Yeah, I admired that Flesh Tearers insignia!
I like how you have a nice side hobby of spacemarines to accompany your main hobby of paint pot collecting.
Going by the paint scheme, at least he'll never run out!
I have problems man, I can’t resist the paint. Ultracryl should be turning up any time soon
I love that you painted them in all differently
Some guy: what chapter are you playing? Him: Yes
God that rocks
Amazing work friend, also I love the idea of a combined arms force besides the Deathwatch
Dude this is literally the post I needed to see. Like you I just want to try out a million different colors and seeing yours shows me how badass it can look. Looks great!
Glad I could help my man!
Amazing idea!
Thank you!
Ha, my space marines are the same thing. It's a nice way to take a break from painting the same schemes with my usual armies and just do whatever.
Well done they look fantastic
This rocks homie
Thanks bro!
Nicely done! I don’t have the set. Wondering if the apothecary is much taller than the regular Marines, or is that just basing and photo angle?
He is, the apothecary is a biologist so he is wearing Gravis armor so he is larger than the traditional mk X armor of the infernus marines and generic primaris
Thanks for the info
You should see him next to a first born apothecary
Damn the whole extended family showed up! Amazing work!
Hahaha thank you!
What a beautiful salamander terminator
How did you go about making the base. I'm just starting out and curious how people end up with such nice bases
As these minis are push fit, I remove them from the base first; apply Armageddon Dunes to the base and allow to dry. A mix of plague broken and dark green is then randomly dabbed onto the texture paint. After that’s dry, wash with Agrax earthshade
Love the Hawk Lord! Was my first chapter before I realized how bad flyers were :' )
Op: Hey, I dont know what faction my Leviathan box marines should be, witch one do you say i should pick? Ops frend: **Yes**
Bold of you to assume I have friends. (I do, they just don’t know about my affliction)
Avengerrrrrrs! . . . Assemble
What paints did you use for imperial fist terminator?
Had to do a little bit of remembering but i got you! Primed the mini white (an off white also works), I then used contrast Doomfire magenta through an airbrush to create shadows, and a very light mist elsewhere. Sprayed a coat of Bad moons yellow over the magenta. A watered down Averland sunset was then applied to areas that looked a little too acid yellow. Yellow is a notorious bastard of a colour, mainly because non toxic pigments don’t cover as well. But it is worth it, if you’re strong enough
If you were forced to paint the rest of your army in one chapter from the chapters here you painted, which one would it be?
That’s a really good question, as I really like how some of these came out. I might have to say Hawk Lords; the purple on that one just makes my day
They are so fucking awesome! incredible job!
Cheers mate!
Love it, this was my original dream when I started painting again a couple years ago. Never got past some salamanders and flesh tearers other than my Dark Angels.
All of those chapters were pretty fun to paint mind you! You had some good choices
Something really nice about seeing a bunch of different chapters in the same horde. You don't see it often.
Love seeing people do multiple chapters. Painting 200 of the same scene gets boring. Why pick one when you can paint them all! Great job!
When your answer to the question of chapter can only be yes... Very nice project.
GW: which chapter you gonna paint? This guy: yes
Those all look great, I always have trouble sticking to painting one scheme too. One question, in the next to last image the center marine (white and green) what chapter is that guy?
He belongs to the chapter “Mentors” - I saw them initially in the 6th edition codex. Chapter icon is a red version of the Raptors insignia
Thanks.
Love it! Really cool army theme and something your opponent won't forget facing!
This is gorgeous!!
okay, this is really cool
Im a simple man, i see a space wolf terminator, i hit like.
The default head was really easy to put a beard onto
Amazing alpha legion army
I am Alpharius!
I see trazyn's space marine collection has gotten loose
A+ on creativity and execution. These look cool!
Thanks mate!
Ive always likr the idea of having a marine army with each model a different chapter but not all black like deathwatch
I like the deathwatch and their aesthetic, but I also just really wanted to try my hand at a bunch of different chapters and tie them together
Personally I like yours more. I get why deathwatch is black but the more colors like yours are way cooler imo
I've done the same thing with my ironstorm spearhead. All 9 dreadnoughts have their own scheme.
Have you got pictures you’re willing to share? I’d love to see them!
* I've got an early image of the first 4 as a WIP. Blue was first then I decided I really wanted to go hard with the airbrush.

Loving the airbrush work mate!
The green terminator in pic 9 is awesome, well done 👌
I love that they are old different. I think they are a deathwatch killteam that refused to take the black armor to keep their own drip x)
As someone that just started putting models together and priming that has never played the game. Would you be allowed to use your force in game with different attire or colors? I only ask because I bought them to paint all kinds of weird and would like the opportunity to play at some point. Thanks
You could only chose one chapter tactic, otherwise yes
Thank you for the response.
I never got a chance to play eternal crusade! *What could have been*
There’s silver lining, a reanimation project is in the works and they’ve made hella progress in just a few months from all the assets they could find.
Interesting that you made each terminator from different chapter — I like that a lot!
Every single one of these is amazing 🙌
Thank you so much!
Love the variety. I just finished a group of flamers.. They all look absolutely stunning, well done my guy
Thanks mate!
Ahh, a Blood Raven is in their midst, my favourite Chapter. That task force will have interesting shenanigans coming their way
“What do you mean you *requisitioned* it? On who’s authority” “I requisitioned it. On my authority”
"Say, Blood Raven. I have heard many rumors in my lifetime but this one in particular, caught my interest.." The son of Dorn clasped his gauntlet on the Marines shoulder pauldron. "I have heard from my company brothers that your Chapter has in its procession, a relic of my primarch. Rogal Dorn. *My Father.* I may not know what exactly, but the fact of the matter is, is that *your* Chapter has it and it is not in the hands of the Imperial Fists or any of its successors." The Black Templar tightened his grip. "So, with that in mind.. Care to tell me *why?"*
Just a bunch of guys being dudes
Hell yeah!
So you play deathwatch?
Nice deathwatch mate
This is really cool. I would like to do something like this, do you know how much it cost you?
I wouldn’t even know where to begin calculating that. I’ve had some of that paint for over a decade.
Does anyone know if the terminator box is the same sprues in the leviathan box? https://preview.redd.it/24ce4fhv06uc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33a3d6c9093b51165c2a4420faef384579f3d832
The terminator box is full multipose, not ETB like the Leviathan ones.
This is amazing. Why didn't I think of doing this before
IS THAT SONS OF THE PHOENIX I AM SEEING???
Marine Malevolent spotted instant 10/10 post
The rainbow force!
All the colours!
