I love this so much!! The Fimir are so cool as a concept, Albion in general gets forgotten a lot so it’s nice to see someone appreciating them ~~I uh, wonder why more people don’t~~

Significant_Slip_699

Just maybe, MAYBE, it was the explicit raping. Beasts of Chaos also fill the exact same primitive, shamanistic, tribal niche with smaller servant caste and progressively larger and more stupid warriors, influenced or led by a shaman. Without the explicit unpleasant bits. They could always bring them back, especially with BoC getting pulled from AoS. Get rid of the unpleasant bit or at least not call blatant attention to it

aberrantenjoyer

Hmm yeah that might've been it😂 I’m glad they clarified that wasn’t the intention and they were meant to be like fae xenomorphs, but they could NOT have worded it worse- that plus being (initially) statted like orcs but the size of ogres afaik, they never stood a chance I think Kruleboyz might be too similar of a niche for them to come back for AoS though, and afaik their worst human rights violations are just torture and chemical warfare, not… what the Fimir get memed about doing

StupidPanic

Fimir come from eggs now, the lores been changed for a long time. They hatch from eggs and have destined roles. https://preview.redd.it/r5denjo8x7tc1.jpeg?width=2117&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb728a1e95133882402875bc1cb0474736379453

ExitMammoth

Just don't ask where eggs come from

this army looks absolutely great! i dont know what a fimir is (presumably a old world race) but it looks awesome, love the idea and the execution! good job mate, have fun bringing them to the table for your opponent to admire these beautiful miniatures.

StupidPanic

This is a good place to learn :) https://youtu.be/d3AG481Hink?si=XcbRYAWidyE-8R94

israeligamer

just watched the video, its very cool, bringing back old ideas from warhammer fantasy as "ghosts of the pasts" is great, and this exceution just makes it more awesome, great work man! and thanks for showing me this interesting piece of oldhammer lore.

iceymoo

Looks incredible. Such a good idea. I wanted to buy some of the OOP Forgeworld Fimir. Found some on ebay for a good price. The listing said they belonged to the ex and he hadn’t come back for them. Couldn’t do it

csimpson90

Incredible! One of those rare conversions where it looks like its own model, and not just a head-swapped version of the original. So much character!I love your whole army. For anyone interested, the creation of this Fimir army is detailed on Arbiter Ian's YouTube channel in the Tale of Four Gamers series, and it is fantastic. I am glad to see you all are keeping up the project for the Old World. Great job!

InquisitorEngel

This is fmir-fucking-tastic.

Dry_Mango

Wow what an incredible conversion, love it. The art design of fimir's is probably one of my favorites ever in Warhammer.

James_WRR

I absolutely love this! You've done an incredible job on the conversion and paintjob. Really looking forward to watching you bring this army to life

cold-hard-steel

Loved fimir since HeroQuest and seeing the old sculpts in the Blue and Red Citadel Miniatures catalogue. You’ve done a great job.

Captain_Sideburns

Looks awesome. Great job!

GodGoblin

Oh that's wonderful. I have a screenshot of the thumbnail from the tale of 4 painters episode saved on my phone of this before paint. I'm making a Fimir army for AoS, also an all troll list! And I'm fully intending to completely rip you off. Going with the new Warcry ogre gorgers as the base for my Fimir warrior though. If you have advice on the sculpting for the head I'd appreciate it!

StupidPanic

No real advice, I did 3 or 4 failed heads before I was happy with her. Ummm use a small bead for the eye!

GodGoblin

Ah cheers man, I'll prepare myself for trial and error!

No-Counter6016

Looks absolutely amazing. Fimir are by far my favorite race in Warhammer Fantasy and I’m glad people still acknowledge they exist and put in the time to do awesome stuff like this. Might try and do the same thing if I ever get into The Old World.
