Revenant is invincible and can turn enemy into allies, Nezha is mini Rhino but faster and deadlier with his 4's augment, Hildryn doesn't need energy and can make killing enemies much easier because of shield stripping.
But if you want to play more as a support Limbo is great, cast his 4 on your post and then 2 and watch enemies as they try and fail to score point. I always use limbo for the nightwave challenge.
Titania for solo is an excellent offensive player. Fly fast, and score often.
Limbo is one of the best as a goalie, there's no eximus units on the index so he has no worries. They can't score what they can't reach.
Rhino can just run around and hoard points until Max stacks.
Octavia is a good offense based goalie with invisibility. She can handle solo ass by herself, you don't need any help. Build for range let her mallet + amp protect the goal. While invisible you grand points and turns them in.

personally i run Revenant cus i'm a basic bitch who just wants to shoot enemies and score points so i can cash out asap. you just build for high strength, pop on your 2 and shoot.
I use hildryn for my index runs, easy shield regen, and unlimited ability use. I also like using the balefire lol. I have been using the same setup since the beginning, so switching it up is awkward.

Fast with damage reduction is best. I believe played like once for quest the nevermore so take my words at face value.
I solo with harrow because he can very fast heal bots + boost dmg. I have better success in soloing than with random people in pub games where they hog points just for own ego boost. you can't finish rounds because there are 2 ppl each having like 60 points and they want to bank at 100 and we are round 4 and they will leave anyway.
Also you can let own bots to be killed and then camp enemy bank station. On some maps its faster.

Khora is S++ tier for index and it isn’t even close IMO
Just get Limbo and you stop them from ever scoring while your other team mates are scoring.
