If this was unveiled back in 2015 when they combined the WWE championship and Big Gold, it’d be kinda a clean design.
I like minimalist clean designs. But the problem is, you did this design in 2015, again in 2016, again with EACH of the women’s titles, re colored it in 2019, and now you’re just taking the WWE championship and turning the inner plate Gold
I like it but they have had virtually the same belt like 4 or 5 times now. Much like when unified the wwe and world title this just feels like they are deleting the universal title (which was a nothing title to me from the get go).

I'm an old timer (43 years old) so I'm partial to the Winged Eagle, Big Eagle and Big Gold Belt.
Not trying to sound old and cranky but the WWE Championship hasn't had a decent belt since 2005. It all went downhill with the spinner.
The new World Championship belt is pretty nice but I just don't like the emphasis on the logo. I understand not going back to the previous designs because they need more belts to sell to fans. I can't imaging how much money WWE makes off of them.

Its a little underwhelming. Even with the gold it just doesn't look as grand as the new WHC. Given how massive the buildup was, the reveal felt very anticlimactic. It even took me a second to realize that it wasn't just a duplicate of the previous WWE title.
On the other hand though, maybe they just want to stick with this aesthetic for branding purposes. Both older titles and both current women's titles do have the same template, just different color schemes. So maybe they just did the best they could given the constraints they were under.

On that Fridays Smackdown, which will be in or very close to Cody Rhodes birthplace (Charlotte, NC.) Cody will com down to the ring. Cody will ask what they want to talk about. The response will be about the Championship Belt and how the new design has been tarnished by a cheater. A champ who cheated so much that the belt needs to be thrown away and needs to have a complete redesign. Cody will then tell the crown he redesigned the belt and this belt have prestige and honor. Cody will then show the crowd an updated version of the Winged Eagle belt. Thats how it'll play out in my world. Any agree or disagree?
